Chapter 19: Chapter 19
• • • • Eve's POV • • •
After a long and exhausting travel, the troopers are finally in the territory of the Caelum clan. As they approach the gate, all look frail and stink from all dirt accumulated over the long travel, some look so hungry they can't even get spoken. Their horses are no exception, to the tiring nature of the journey as they need water and some food to regain power.
As they go closer to the gate, they are interrupted by guards. "We have been sent by Prince Edmonton of the Solis Kingdom."
"My King, some troopers from the Solis Kingdom are here. They say they have been sent by Prince Edmonton." The King frowns and murmurs to himself, "Wow, such speed, the news had travelled across the lands."
"Take them in, take good care of them; give them food to eat, wine to drink and feed their horses." The King orders. With the king's orders, the guard bows to leave, but the king stops him "before that, bring them to me."
The troopers still waiting at the gate, and the guard is seen rushing towards them. "sorry for keeping you on ceremony, please follow me."
"Good." they descend from their horse with relief expressions. Their horse is taken, as well as their weapons. Once they pass through the security protocol, they are taken to the king's presence. The King was seated on his throne impertinently waiting for them.
"My King," the troopers say as they enter and bow before the king.
"What brings you here?" the King asks. "We are searching for the Princess, she is nowhere to be found. We found traces of her horse showing that she must have headed in this direction. So we followed, hoping we will find her." The commander of the troop explains.
"They don't know yet." the king silently consoles himself. "Ou, the princess was here, unfortunately, she just left with my son to where I don't know." The king puffed in relief "She came alongside a young lady, my men are currently getting ready to go and keep her, but since you are already here, I guess you will return with her."
"My King we need to know where the princess is. We can't go back to the palace without her" he insisted.
"Unfortunately I have no idea. Perhaps you can sleep over, sometime they will be back soon or later in the evening." the king says in a sarcastic tone.
"My King..." he tries to insist but the king cuts him off his speech "You should rest, you must be exhausted from the long journey and your men equally need to replenish their energy. Make sure they are treated right and give them what they ask. He orders the guards."
"From the look of things they have no idea about what happened to their princess. I can't imagine Edmonton's wrath when he gets aware." the king says to Ishee.

The wind blows with rash, as Adams speeds the ride. I'm seated behind him tightly clenching unto him from his waist, to maintain my balance and not fall as he accelerates up. "Wow," I scream...
"My Prince." Jack welcomes Adams as he gets off the horse. In shock "My Princess" Jack greets me equally.
"Jack, you know the usual." Adams hands over the horse and we live before Jack can even utter a word.
I was thinking that the door of this gigantic edifice will be significantly big, to my greatest surprise, we passed through a small opening which leads us into a wilderness not significantly different, from where we come from.
"Wow, so this is the human world I always read about in Maryline's Journal? No difference from our world. I expected it to be more astonishing." I slur as I follow him from behind and all I get from him is a grin.
"First you have to change, your dress." we stop by a huge pile of grass. He starts dispersing it.
"What are you doing?" I get the answer to my question when I see the engine he was searching for in the grass "what is this?" I asked in surprise.
"It is called a car. It is what they use here instead of horses." he retorts as he opens the truck and took out a cloth "Put this on." he orders.
~ ~ Eve is given a fat polo shirt. Instead of the old ball gown, she has on ~ ~
"Just this?."
"yea!" he nods. "I can't, I can't walk naked." "Trust me you won't be naked. Just put it on." he insists. I seize the dress from his hands, "don't you have something better."
He was still watching me "Turn! or do you want to see me change?" "Oh!" he immediately turned.
"I need your help." I called him back, "Can I turn?".
"Of course, you should, how will your back be of help," I say sarcastically. He turns "Untie the..." I order.
I turn and he unties my dress from behind. I held my dress from the front so it does not fall off. "Now you can turn back," I order again.
I remove the gown and enjoyed the way the wind softly hit my bare skin. At that moment, I wanted to stay that way, but then, something bite my buttocks, "Ouch! don't you dare turn? Something just bite me, I'm ok."
Adams chuckles, "it's not funny Adams." I hurriedly put on the fat top. It's long with some weird paintings on it and some weird writings. It was my first time seeing such. I can't even tell what it is. The top is right above my knees.
"You can turn." murmur in discomfort. "Good, but one last thing." he moves to me, and I get agitated. "You hairs." he stood behind me, he starts to undo my Victorian hairstyle and he allows my hair to fly, something which I hardly do.
"Get in" he opens the weird engine and I walk in. He starts it and drives through the forest till we reached a straight opening with trees by the side.
"Now we are driving on a road, it's called a railway, cars here speed on this open space, since places here are filled with trees and grass everywhere you turn."
As the engine move, my heart skips, it's faster than the horse, such speed? "Please slow down, I need to breathe." Adams stops the car and I get out to catch my breath.
"You need to get used to this." with that, we continue. My eyes widen as we enter the town.
Being In the human world itself is like a fantasy, like a dream come true. Buildings race each other in a quest to touch the soft blue sky and people litter the streets and sidewalks, different sizes, designs and colours of cars line up the streets.
Life here seems upbeat and fast-paced, everyone is so busy moving up and down as they mind their business and everything seems to move so fast, people are moving in-between cars without fear, maybe it doesn't kill, but it says otherwise in the newspapers.
The milieu is different from where I come from, Skyscrapers are replaced with real trees that stood tall, though not tall enough to completely block out the sun's rays. Vibrant green grass perfectly covers the ground around the house instead of the black mud we have.
The buildings are organised in a row, having similar designs. The view is just perfect and beautiful, I still can't believe my eyes. Their dress is still different from ours and women here seemed to have no issues exposing their bodies as some wear stripeless gowns above their knees. Some even wear something like a trouser, women for that matter, but it has been cut and it's directly under their buttocks, omg...
My thoughts are cut short as Adams interrupted with laughter. "You wonder aloud, this is the way of the people here, with time you will understand, don't bother and wonder too much."
He parks his car by a building, we walk out some men are standing at the entrance of the building with matching outfits (suits). "Welcome sir Adams, Miss" they welcome us.
"They welcome you with such courtesy. Do they know that you're a prince? If so tell them that I'm a princess as well." I ask Adams.
"Here, there's no such thing as a palace, royalty and all that. Even you, no one will treat you like a princess or do things for you, you need to do it yourself. You don't need to be a prince, princess or royalty to be respected. You just need to be human and be rich," he says with his tune filled with sarcasm.
As we approach the door, they opened the door for us. My eyes are blown off and my eyes are dazzled with the charm of the interior, the ceiling is open and the beautiful sun rays shoot down into the building, especially on the fountain found in the middle of the building as its golden colour glitters.
Adams pulls me "Please if this is how you will react, just close your eyes." He murmurs.
To think I had seen it all, we walk to a door, Adam pushes a button and it immediately opens, we enter and he pushes some buttons for it to close. I became unstable and I clench Adams tight not to fall. "What's going on." I cry.
"It's moving, don't be scared, it's called an elevator. It is taking us up. We assured you won't die." He taunts.
At a certain point, it stops and the door automatically opens and we step into a beautiful enclosed apartment, just like I read and saw in the journal.
"You need to take a good bath," he murmurs.
"Seat on the sofa" as I land my buttocks on the sofa, I sank deep. It's so soft that it caresses my ass. Then I stand on the seat and I start jumping on it and it slightly bounces...
"This is what we are going to do, here they speak English, though with lots of modifications. I will find you a tutor for that but before then you have to promise one thing."
"Which is?" wearily ask.
"You have to be obedient and calm. Follow my instructions, don't go far away from me, don't hit anyone and don't speak about our world to anyone, if so you will scare them away. Just be human." he perks me on the cheek and moves to another side of the room.
"This is more than one thing," I murmur. I walk around the room studying every single piece of furniture hoping I will understand what it is. Sincerely I'm lost.
.

"Hey young girl you will sleep in the palace and you will be taken home tomorrow." Ishee approaches Madilta who has no idea who he is.
"Why tomorrow? I thought the guards were already getting ready to escort me?"
"Of course they were but plans have changed with the arrival of troopers from the Solis, your Kingdom." he gently explains and moves out as soon as he utters the last words.
Matilda was excited to sleep in the palace, specifically, that of the Caelum Kingdom like every other person will be but her only worry was her parents.
The night is young when Matilda decides to walk around the palace. she walks through the corridors, and stairs and explores until she arrives where a young girl sleeps.
The young girl turns on the bed suffering like a rolling dog. She's sweating, groaning. A moment later, she screams and starts crying in her sleep. This terrifies Matilda to the extent that she stayed glued on the spot, shivering.
"Hey, young lady who are you? And what are you doing here?." A chubby, old woman approaches.
Immediately, Matilda comes back to her senses as she runs out of sight... The woman wants to follow her but the weight of her body obstructs her.
