Chapter 43: Chapter 43

Alex and Tom arrived at his old home. Everything was as they left it, the sheets on their bed were still ruffled and the smell of her lay in the sheets, he inhaled his wife's scent. They were the two words which kept ringing in his brain. Alexandra was his... his wife, the mother of his child. His eyes bore deep into hers sending shudders down through her legs.

"Oh Tom." She squeezed her legs together. "I love you so much."

"My beautiful wife, you are mine to do with whatever I please." The corner of his lip turned up and he stepped forwards. Every nerve ending tingled and Alex gasped as his finger ran down her front. "I will make your body shudder and shake with pleasure, I will light your fire within, you will beg me to stop, but I won't, I'll keep going till you can't take it anymore and pass out."

She had to close her eyes away from his stare, she tried to control her breathing. It wasn't working as Tom could smell the change in her sex, her sweetness was already seeping through the panties she had on, there was no escaping him now.

Tom did everything he said he was going to do and more, Alex was exhausted and passed out on the bed afterwards. Tom smiled and lay down next to her to rest his eyes.

They spent the next three weeks being together, Alexandra had tended to the garden to pass time, there was so much beauty to have with the different flowers and fruit trees which were at the bottom.

Over the next few weeks life had dramatically changed for the humans, people were out laughing, not living in fear as they walked home where they might have once got caught in an unexpected swoop for feeding. Vampires expanded their staff and even found the odd one taking a fancy to a human servant. Secret meetings soon became obsolete and both were happy to be seen together.

Acceptance worked between the two races. Alex had become large and almost ready to give birth. She had been waddling about getting last minute things for her child.

"Thank you for coming Alex, I know this is a difficult time for you." Rose drew her away from Tom's hold. "How are you feeling Alex?"

"Tired, and I feel like a balloon ready to pop." She rubbed her stomach.

Tom kept his eye on Alex's every move, he already knew his child was ready to make an appearance any moment and was worried about it. Rose smiled at him knowing he was watching.

#Birth of a new child

Panic came across Alex's face, Tom picked Alex up in his arms.

"Quick get her to a bedroom." Rose shouted.

"Tom "She cried out in pain and gripped her stomach.

He followed Rose into one of the bedrooms, Rose shot about like a flash organising things. A bath was run ready and a witch doctor was brought in.

Alex lay on the bed grasping the sheets and screaming out in pain, each time the pain increased and lasted longer. Tom had tears in his eyes, he felt helpless watching his wife whither about in pain. Tears streamed out from her eyes, with a small breathing space as the contraction subsided, the doctor suggested moving into the bath as Alex might find it a little bit better.

There were quite a few people around and Alex felt uncomfortable, Tom sensed her and glared at everyone. Within a blink they had disappeared and there was only the doctor and Rose left.

Moving into the bathroom the bath was huge and full with warm water. Tom helped strip her off and into the bath. Another contraction hit and She clung onto the side of the bath. He rubbed her back and kissed her skin.

The doctor checked Alex "Keep breathing, deep breaths and start pushing with the next contraction."

After what seemed like hours to Alex, with a last exhausted push, baby Ruby popped out and Alex held her in her arms. A small cry came from Ruby bringing a fresh new set of tears from Alex and Tom

"Well done Alexandra, she is beautiful." Rose kissed Alex on her head.

"I'll make sure you are okay and you can get out , I'm sure the water is quite a bit colder now, Rose, can you get the baby a blanket?" The doctor spoke quietly.

Rose had a few things she was going to give to

her for the baby so she was glad she hadn't, so she sent out Kimberly to go get nappies and pads for her. She was still human witch and had the joys of experiencing the after birth effects. It took all of a couple of minutes and everything was brought to Alex.

Tom held his daughter in his arms, she was sleeping exhausted from everything, he thought it was an amazing experience watching his wife giving birth. Alex came back from sorting herself out and climbed into the bed.

Tom sat next to her and passed Ruby back so her could try and nurse her. Ruby attempted to suckle and get her first drink of milk.

"You may find after a couple of months when her teeth come in she will start using her natural instincts."

"What do you mean?" She looked at the doctor puzzled.

"She may start biting you."

"Oh."Alex chuckled realising what he was saying.

"Do not rush away Alex, you will be served upon here with your every need, enjoy the first couple of days here and relax." Everyone left with the doctor leaving Tom and Alex alone.

"Thank You, you are even more amazing, beautiful and strong to me" He kissed her lips before gazing lovingly at his daughter. "You are even more beautiful than I could have imagined." He kissed Ruby's head.

Exhausted and tired Alex settled Ruby down in the makeshift cot and lay down to sleep. Tom stroked his wife's face as she drifted off. He sat in silence watching over the two of them, he wondered what kind of child Ruby would grow up to be, what sort of powers would she possess.

He was gazing over Ruby watching her sleep when her eyes flicked open, as if she knew she was being watched. Tom was sure he saw a tiny smirk on her lips. Her black eyes stared at him, he moved around and she followed every footstep, smiling he picked her up and kissed her forehead. Her eyes never blinked, just kept staring at him.

"What are you thinking baby girl you are beautiful I'm sure you will scare every guy off when you are older with that stare, and if any of them try and hurt you I will rip their heads off myself."

Tom was definitely sure he caught her smiling at him. He rocked her in his arms, with her being half vampire, sleep would be minimum as a baby and child, but she would still rest her eyes for long periods of time. He sang to her and talked to her about love and connection.

"When you are older and you find the one you fall in love with, whatever you do, you fight for that love, hold onto them and never let them go."

Alex had heard Tom talking, when she opened her eyes and saw him holding Ruby talking to her about love, She scrunched the covers in her hands and tears fell from her eyes.

Ruby's eyes flicked over to Alex, she had sensed her mother had awakened. She opened her mouth signifying she wanted to be fed. Alex sat up in bed as Tom brought Ruby over to her.

"How long has she been awake?"

"Most of the time you were asleep, we've been having a good chat, well I've been talking and she has made faces at me." Tom smiled and let out a chuckle.

Ruby latched on hungry and had a good feed, Tom held her so Alex could go sort herself out again. The three of them bonded, Alex had her when she was awake and Tom took his turn when she slept.

Over the next couple of days they had got into a routine with Ruby, she had some intense stare on her and some of their friends who came in were scared to come too close to her. Tom thought everything was highly amusing.

Alex was feeling up to going, Rose organised everything she had to be taken to Tom's house as they decided it would be nice to float.

They dive back to their home and enjoy their life happily every after.
