Chapter 41: Chapter 41
The day for Isabella and Nathan to finally leave arrives and they decide to spend their morning and last day walking through the city.
It sounded like a good idea when Isabella thought of it but now she's starting to regret it.
The smile that was once on her face is now gone.
"I don't like how they are staring at you, are you an exhibition or something." Isabella stops herself from glaring at the nearby females gawking at Nathan.
"Maybe I'm a god exhibition." Nathan suggests playfully and laughs but when he sees the expression on her face, he stops.
"That's not funny, Nathan. My wolf is telling me to pull their eyeballs out."
"I'm sure you can keep her in check for a few more minutes, after all, you are the one who suggested this." Nathan smirks.
"Hey, don't put the blame on me, I'm already sulking enough." She reprimands him and he shrugs but his smirk still remains.
"I suppose that you're right. I also wanted to come here and check out something." Nathan places his hand on his chin and looks around.
"You mean check out other she-wolves?" Isabella glared daggers at him.
"Would you stop acting so uptight. I told you that I have only eyes for you!"
The only reason that they can talk so freely outside like this is because Nathan cast a spell making the people around them hear only chatters and not the words they are saying.
After all, werewolves are have an extensive hearing capability. It would be weird to have everyone in the area listening in on them.
"Why don't we go shopping. That will clear your mind off things." Nathan suggests and Isabella nods.
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
To the people watching them, Nathan presence is eerie and dangerous. They want to go close yet they can't; they are close but yet far. It's a complicated mess and they find themselves wanting to be Isabella.
When Isabella and Nathan enter the store, Isabella looks around and blinks.
"I thought we were going shopping right?" She asks. "Then what are we doing in a jewelry store."
"I never said that we were shopping for clothes, Isabella and besides I want to get something for you." Nathan smiles.
"For me?" She asks.
"Make a pick. Perhaps maybe a ring. It's only proper since we are somehow married." He tells her as she looks around.
"Is suppose so, but can I choose a necklace too? I really want one." She smiles happily.
"You can take three if you want, any number at all. Don't worry, I can afford it." He explains and she glares at him.
"I never said that you couldn't afford it. You are very old, of course you'll have a huge amount of money." She tells him and he rolls his eyes.
At the end, Isabella leaves the shop with a crescent moon shaped necklace and a fine Ruby ring.
She keeps staring at them every two minutes before they reach the castle. Nathan can tell that's she's happy. He can feel it in the bond they share.
Before they leave, Isabella calls Jasmine on the phone and to tell her that they are coming soon.
Trixie jumps into Isabella's arms and catches her off guard but when she relaxes she leans into Trixie.
"I'll miss you again, Isabella but I promise that I'll visit this time." Trixie tell her and she nods, holding tightly to the female in her arms.
"I'll miss you too, bestie." Isabella whispers.
"Wait, you just called me bestie!" Trixie pushes Isabella immediately and smiles. "You did, didn't you."
"So what if I did." Isabella answers nonchalantly and Trixie rolls her eyes.
"Don't be so mean, bestie."
And Isabella spends sometime snuggled into Trixie...
They had to say their goodbyes to everyone and it took a lot of time but now their ready, even though they are a little late.
Nathan starts the car and they hit the road. The drive is silent. Nathan has a lot on his mind as he drives and so does Isabella but she can't stop twirling the ring in her finger.
She is feeling extremely anxious and she knows that it might just be something stupid but she can't stop herself from feeling this way.
She doubts that Nathan even realizes this, she has been acting strange, yes and he notice that but she basically did that to hide her true feeling... Anxiety.
It's almost like she is waiting for something to happen. Something big, very big.
Bang!
From nowhere the car swirls and turns, continuing like that for a few times before it stops upside down.
Nathan didn't expect this. Damn, he was too busy stuck in thought that he didn't notice her presence.
"Isabella, are you okay!" He yells but when he turns back his eyes turn dark.
"Isabella?" He looks around the car and then proceed to walk out still looking around. "Isabella!"
She is nowhere to be found. Once he realizes the impact of this he tries to calm himself down and in doing so he realizes that a rod is stuck in his belly.
Is this a warning or just a way of telling him what just happened was indeed...
No, he can't think about that now.
He pulls the rod out of stomach and glare at the car as it begin to burn in flame.
It's pretty obvious now. The road is empty and Isabella is no where to be found.
This is her doing. She has finally made a clear move on him. He thought he can handle it on his own but it's too much now and he won't let it go on any further.
She made a big mistake when she made the decision to take his mate. Destiny! He is coming for you and you will regret ever been made a god.
He grits his teeth and turns aways from the burning vehicle, assuring himself that Isabella will be okay... for the some time. So he needs to find her quickly.
