Subtitle: Getting to know him

"Surprised? Oh don't be, dearest!"
Kylie stared at him, his glum smile not escaping her gaze.
"What are you doing here?"
"Awww, Did you forget about our agreement already?" Julian drew as he pushed her away gently and walked into the apartment.
Kylie's mouth twitched.
" What agreement? "
Julian turned to face her sharply before continuing the eye scan he was conducting on the interior of this small apartment.
"The exterior was bad, but in here, it's worse. What's wrong with your sense of taste?"
"How does that answer my question? Besides, I didn't move here because I wanted you to like it. As for my sense of taste, it seems like I'm not the only one with a bad taste, you're standing in my house admiring it afterall. "
Kylie replied adding an eye roll as bonus.
Julian smirked and turned to face her.
" Anyhow, you're leaving with me. "
" I'm not going anywhere. "
" Really?" Julian asked and his gaze fell on an open suitcase, half filled and his smirk disappeared, leaving a dark expression on his face.
"Is that why you were packing?"
Kylie took small steps backwards as she sensed he might start walking towards her, and true to her thoughts, he started striding towards her.
"Wha... What are you doing?" She stammered slightly, knowing she might have just stepped on his tail on purpose.
"That doesn't answer my question, does it? Where were you packing to?" Julian asked again, his teeth gritted as he continued to take slow steps towards her.
"I wasn't going anywhere."
"Then explain the half packed suitcase."
"That... My mom travelled, so I was just packing some things into my bag to keep the house tidy." Kylie lied. She didn't know how the lie came, but one thing was sure - it came on time.
Julian looked at her suspiciously, he didn't seem to believe it, and she understood, she probably wouldn't too.
Kylie cleared her throat nervously.
"What?"
Julian scoffed and lowered his head a little to hide his expression before bringing it back up.
"Do I look like a fool to you?"
"What.. what do you mean?"
"Judging from your stuttering, it means you just lied to me. Forget all that, you don't need your things, but if you do, I'll help you pack."
"What??!"
Kylie thought he was joking, but when he started to move towards where her suitcase was, she knew he wasn't.
" Stop."
Kylie ran after him, not minding the short distance between them both and caught his wrist right on time, but he flung her hand away like it weighed nothing.
" You wanted to pack, right? Don't worry, it'll be faster if I helped you pack. "
So saying, Julian began walking around the medium sized room and began throwing anything he saw into the suitcase.
Cups, books, combs, name it, he threw them all into the suitcase, and when he was half satisfied, opened an adjacent door and he realized it was a bathroom. He smirked.
Kylie sprang from where she was rooted earlier to stop him, but it was too late - he already stepped inside the bathroom.
She stopped in front of the door and watched as he came out, his hands occupied, holding her underthings in them.
Julian turned to her and she thought she heard a snort from him.
" You have such small proportions. LoL."
What?!
By small proportions, did he mean..?
Oh, the son of a bickering b*tch!
Kylie understood the meaning of what he had said, but just as she wanted to give him a piece of her mind, what he did next was enough to keep her dazed and shut her damn trap.
Julian closed the window he just opened after throwing out her suitcase from there and walked up to her, a mini towel in his hands, trying to wipe off the invisible dirt from them.
"Let's go." He said as he passed by her, and dumped the towel in the bin. He paused and turned around when he didn't hear sounds of footsteps.
Julian's facial muscles tightened as skin after skin folded on his forehead, signifying anger.
"You didn't hear me?!" He yelled, eliciting a small gasp from Kylie.
She didn't want to be scared, but the tone which he used was enough to make her knees go weak and she shivered uncontrollably.
Julian sighed, walked back to her, picked her up and flung her over his shoulder and carried her out like a sack of potatoes. He hated work, but this dork made him waste a whole lot of strength on trashy clothes.
How the hell did she survive wearing clothes from cheap brands? he wondered as he walked to his car, opened the back seat and threw Kylie in.
He just had to discard them!
Kylie sat up helplessly and turned to look out of the car window, only to see the belongings she owned already thrown out, forming a mess right in front of her window.
When the car started moving, she realized that Julian had started the engine already, and as the neighborhood she had lived in for three years disappeared fast, Kylie knew she was headed for doom!

I fluttered my eyes open, but all I saw was a whole lot of blur all around me. I closed my eyes again and this time, forced them open, and that earned me a sharp pain in my neck.
"Oww!"
I closed my eyes again, but this time it wasn't my doing, it did so itself, trying to concentrate my mind on the pain I was feeling at the moment and trying to dissipate the pain vaguely.
Once the pain reduced, I opened my eyes again, this time, naturally. It took some time for my eyes to adjust to the sharp lighting, but it didn't take too long.
After staying in that position for about a minute or so,I turned my neck to take a look at the surrounding I was in. It was plain white, except some blue dots here and there on one side of the four walls enclosing the space I was in.
From everything I saw, ranging from the walls to the drip stand, my senses told me I was in a hospital room.
"What am I doing here? In a hospital, why?"
What I was doing here was a mystery to me... Oh wait, I know now.
"I must have been brought here after I fell down from the stairs back at home. I guess someone from home found me later in the morning."
I heard the sound of the door knob being twisted and I turned my head the opposite way to see who it is and a man in a white coat turned my way after closing the door after him.
He must be the Doctor assigned to me. Seeing how he's smiling at me right now, that I'm sure of at the moment, at least.
"I can see you're awake, Mr. Hardey." He spoke up as soon as he got to my side.
I grunted and smiled at him a little in response, and he smiled right back!
"How are you feeling, sir?"
"I feel a little weak, and some slashes inside of my head, but seldomly though. Apart from that, I'm fine."
The Doctor set down the things in his hand on the side table right beside him and took off the stethoscope around his neck and used it on me.
"Your heart beat is normal." He spoke after a while, setting the stethoscope back around his neck, where it was before and bent over the table.
I sighed in relief, thinking the checkup was over, and I was fine.
"Oh thank goodness. I can go home now, right?"
He turned to look at me, not shifting his body position, save his neck and head that is and gave another smile that exposed his white dentals once again.
"Not quite."
"What do you mean? You just said my heart beat is normal." I protested.
"Quite right, but there are other things I need to check first."
He mentioned, and stood up straight again, but with something in his hand.
"What's that?" I asked, feeding my curiosity.
"A sphygmomanometer."
"What's it's use?"
"It's used to check the blood pressure, and now that you've known what's used for, that's exactly what I'm going to do - check your blood pressure."
"Sure, go ahead." I nodded and turned my face the other way.
"Gosh, I hate hospitals!"
"What did you say?"
I heard someone say and I flinched. I quickly turned my face and realizing it was just the Doctor, I calmed down a bit.
"What?" I questioned, hoping he'd forget what he asked earlier.
"I asked what you said.."
"Oh that. It's nothing."
"Alright then." He replied and returned to what he was doing.
I closed my eyes tight.
"Can someone come get me out of here, please?" I muttered under my breath, avoiding any questions from the Doctor.
