Chapter 72: Chapter 72
Married to Mr. Arrogant
Subtitle: Getting to know him
Written by : Marvy Hyacinth
Justin runs down the flight of stairs in a flash like there was something chasing him, and in just a minute, he was in his car, kick starting the engine and soon, revving it away.
He hadn't even had a bath today or even changed out of his old clothes and here he was, in his car and about to leave the house again.
He drives and stops his car by the side of the road, utterly confused on where he could go from this point to look for his younger brother. As if pushed, he starts the car again as a destination pops up in mind suddenly.
It is a short ride to grandfather Robinson's house and soon enough I'm there. It is quite a remote place, specifically chosen for its obscure location on maps and preferable for grandfather Robinson. By the time that i get down from the car, still fuming, it is evening already.
I find Grandfather Robinson inside the house and despite my apathy for him, I am relieved that it is not Julian I meet first. I swear I could kill if he appears in front of me.
"Justin, what brings you here? I haven't seen you in a while."
I watch him as he raises his eyes to mine n the back and when he gives me a side look, I do not mistake his indifference for my sight, so I give him a dirty look.
"Why are you decked out in black? And in my house??"
Grandfather Robinson raises his eyebrow while running his eyes over me in a way that shows he's checking if I looked harmful or harmless.
"Is he here with you? Is Julian here with you??" I asked, having no patience left in me.
"Yeah? He came by a couple of minutes ago. Is anything the problem?" He answers and questions me at the same time, but I don't miss the indifference in his voice as he answers.
"Okay. Great then."
Few minutes later, I'm out of the house and on the way to the shed behind grandpa's house. I am still walking and advancing stealthily to the building which looked like a shed because of the many trees and shrubs surrounding it.
It was totally unnoticeable and if I wasn't familiar with my grandfather's house, I would never have known that there was a building like that behind the main building.
The day I found out though, I was baffled and asked questions, but grandfather Robinson does not give so many fucks apparently, cause he never told me what the building was for.
I walk to the building in long strides and I glimpse at my grandfather and don't miss the confident look on his face. That showed he knew the reason I was here, apparently and he's so confident that Julian can take care of himself?
Nah! Lets see about that.
I refuse to take any chances, so we still advance with caution, so that i can catch the bastard unaware when
i get there eventually.
I ask the guy at the opening of the shed for Julian and he looks at my grandfather as if he was unsure to do as I asked, and when my grandfather cleared his throat, as if to give his permission, he calls some other person to take me to Julian.
As i am led, Grandfather Robinson walks behind me. I catch my father look at me before he clears his throat obviously and that catches Julian's attention.
Wait a minute...
My father is here??
When did he get here???
"Dad, what are you doing here"
I ask, but even now, he deliberately ignores my presence.
My father and Grandfather Robinson glance at each other, before my father stands up and both of them walks out of the place I was led into.
Suddenly, as if doused in anger, I remember the whole Julian thing. Absentmindedly, my mind goes to work and my eyes with it as I subconsciously search for Julian in the room.
Just then, I see him walk in through a door at the far end. Not wasting any time, I walk towards Julian to throw a punch at him but as if he had seen it coming, he guards against it as he catches my blow.
"What the hell Julian? What in the fvcking hell? You actually dared to lay your fvcking hands on Kylie?? I knew right from start that you were mad, but I had no idea it had gone full blown."
Julian just chuckles good naturedly like a gentleman that he never was as if I'd just cracked a funny joke. His eyes are cold and his grip on my still folded punch hand is firm and gets tighter.
"What is it to you Justin? What do you mean by 'put my fvcking hands on her'? Kylie is my legally married wife. Why do you care? I thought you chose the company in exchange for leaving her be? If you hadn't broken her heart then, she'd definitely not be with me and in my grip at the moment.
For a beat, I'm speechless at his audacity before I answer him fiercely, wrenching my hand away from his hold as hard as he had held it earlier.
"Your legally married wife?" I ask and scoff like his words was air.
"Do normal people rape their wives? Can you hear yourself?? You sound just like what you are... An idiotic fool!."
As soon as the sentence rolls off my tongue, I throw a hard punch at his jaw clouded by rage, which catches him by surprise. At the last moment he flinches though, so I hit his nose instead and the sound of a broken bone is extremely pleasing at that moment.
As soon as he lifts his head, I smirk as I see blood dripping from his nostril.
"Ou! Nice." He exclaims with a hand on his broken nose and one cleaning up the blood.
The other people who were in the warehouse like they were standing guard earlier are suddenly nowhere to be found. They had gone out of the building, probably to give us privacy for whatever and I hadn't noticed until now...
Julian's eyes are still cold and unfeeling, indifferent and they make me really angry, I try to hit him again but as if in a calculated move, I'm the one who is knocked by his strong fist.
I did not see it coming and it angers me that he would dare retaliate when it is he who is in the wrong.
What did I expect though??
That dear Julian Hardey, beloved grandson of Robinson Hardey, would admit to his sins penitent and remorseful and on his knees begging for forgiveness?
I did not expect that, but then I didn't have time to weigh my expectations.
I stumble backward at the punch that met with my jaw and cough out some blood. Seeing red, I flex my arm out slowly and I'm just about to go all out when my father and Grandfather father Robinson walk into the shed again... returning.
"Justin!"
I turn back temporarily, stopping to answer Grandfather Robinson.
I do not respond, I just stare at him with red angry eyes that do not make him back off or cower in the least. It's grandfather Robinson, the devil in the devil's incarnate, I expected no less.
"You will hold your peace while you are here!" He yells his command at me.
It pisses me off that he was giving orders to me, when he already knew who was at fault and who wasn't, but of course, it involved his golden grandson - Julian and I get enraged.
Judging by the look that my father has on his face, he might have discussed what happened with my grandfather and his words were probably spoken in favor of Julian.
"You have no right to speak to Julian like that or lay your hands on him. Do you know where you are or who you're dealing with? I will advise you out of civility for the love of humans to let this end here and now!" Grandfather Robinson says firmly.
I see that he expects probably my apology but in the moment that he says this I see in my mind the bruises on Kylie and her eyes that showed her hurt and quiet helpless anger; Disregarding Grandfather Robinson's words, I hold onto Julian unexpectedly and throw him another punch to the face and this time, I do not miss his jaw because he coughs out blood.
I see the unpleasant surprise on my grandfather's face probably at my guts, but I do not give two goddamn fucks and I even turn to address Julian.
"The next time something like this happens, you won't be getting away with just a broken nose or jaw.."
"You bastard.."
Grandfather Robinson begins to say, shaking with anger at my disregard for him while I storm out of the base without waiting to hear the rest of his words. Julian is also still holding his broken nose and coughing out blood, I hope as I storm out of the shed.
