Chapter 81: Chapter 81
Kayden's POV
"I love you " those were the words that she said, without even thinking twice about it.
"You k*lled my wife because you are in love with me?. You brought her to that horrible dungeon because you are in love with me?" I raised an eyebrow at her, not holding back my anger and resentment for her.
I didn't even care if my voice was so loud that it made her shiver.
What I intend to do to her, she will never be able to forget, not even in her next life.
"I have always warned you about how dangerous love is, haven't I?" I asked her and brought my lips close to hers.
"Y..es" she whispered and closed her eyes slowly, thinking that I was going to k*ss her, but I didn't do anything of that sort.
I grabbed her by the hair and dragged her on the floor like a prisoner.
"Kayden, you are hurting me. Please let go, Kayden please stop" she pleaded as I continued to drag her by the hair, out of the room.
We walked down the hallway, and I saw the way the maids and guards were staring at both of us, especially me as they felt remorse for their princess. Even if she was never nice to them.
I dragged her down the stairs that led to the trapdoor of the dungeon.
"You sent her in here because of love huh?" I tugged on her hair some more and made her face me.
With her hands strapped behind her back, then she placed her hands on the floor for some kind of support, since I was still tugging her hair roughly.
"Kayden.. what?...what do you want to do to me?" She stuttered and she began to shed tears.
She was only close to the trapdoor and it disgusted her. I hadn't even opened the door yet, for her to perceive the smell that was oozing out of the dungeon, and she was already disgusted. How pathetic!.
"What is it?. Are you scared?" I asked her, but she remained silent.
"You tossed someone in there, and you are scared of going in there yourself? That is pretty low for a princess , you should always lead by example, don't you think?" I scoffed and opened the trapdoor.
Immediately the smell hit her, she clipped the bridge of her nose with her fingers and looked away.
"NOW SUFFER WHAT YOU SENT HER THERE TO SUFFER" I pushed her into the dungeon at once, and I didn't intend to but I set the place on fire.
For the first time, it felt good knowing that I made a mistake, and I didn't regret it, not even in the slightest.
"Kayden!!!" King Derick went after me, but I was walking so fast that he couldn't catch up to me.
"You have k*lled my daughter" he cried out, when he finally caught up with me outside the gate, probably avoiding the dead bodies as he walked out of the castle, and passed them.
"You see now, that's the thing with you and your messed up family. She tossed my wife into that death hole and you felt nothing, now I did something similar to her, and you what to have my neck?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
"I never knew your wife was in there. I just recently found out that you and Emma's wedding didn't even hold in the first place." he tried to defend himself but it was already too late.
"I don't give a f*ck and two smacks about that. My wife is dead now, and there was nothing I could do to save her, so you should try and save your daughter before she burns to death" I gave him a piece of advice, even when I knew that deep within me.
All I wanted was for her to die and never come back. If she was to survive that, after what she had done to my Heaven, then I would keep hunting her down, for the rest of my life, until I can get rid of her.
"You are truly heartless as they say" King Derick cursed, and it only made me smile.
Normally, I might get all worked up and upset if someone else told me this. I said might, because I am already used to people referring to me as heartless or cold-hearted, or even stone-hearted, but hearing this from him just made me laugh.
"I am heartless? You don't even have the right to tell me such. You are in no position whatsoever to utter such words in my presence, and against me as that '' I made him silent and he looked away from me, trying to hide the shame he was feeling.
"You conspired against me with my uncle, you planned to k*ll me by getting me married to that sl*t of a daughter you have, and you are busy lecturing me on how to be kind-hearted. How nice?" I scoffed.
"So you knew ?" He was shocked by my last words.
"Heck yeah I knew, and that is the reason why I didn't marry your daughter.
It was not like I wanted to marry her in the first place, but that just made me feel less guilty about not marrying her. If you understand what I mean" I told him bluntly.
I wasn't the type of person to sugarcoat my words, and I wasn't going to start now, especially for someone who conspired and planned my death.
"You cannot hide anything from me, especially something like that. I hope you are now aware of that fact?'' I gave off a faint smile.
"You should never have done this' ' he sounded very sad, and it felt good to see the high and mighty King Derick sound like a 5-year-old in need of his father.
"Your daughter should have never taken the only person that cared about me away from me. I didn't stop your daughter from doing as she pleased while she stayed in my castle, with no rights whatsoever.
But she crossed all her boundaries when she kidnapped Heaven and brought her to that death hole.
I will never be able to forgive her for what she had done to me, even in her death, I won't be able to forgive her, not in this life or the next.
Forget marrying her, I won't even marry her off to my enemies'' I lowered my gaze and took one last look at him, before turning away and getting into my car.
"You will regret this, I promise you that!!" I heard him yell, as I looked through my car's side mirror and saw him shaking his fist in the air.
I didn't even act like I heard anything he said.
I just don't know how I will be able to mourn the death of my wife.
