Chapter 79: Chapter 79

"I am sorry but we lost her " the doctor tried his best to explain to a distorted and very worried Kayden.

He couldn't stop pacing back and forth at the hospital while he waited for the doctor to arrive.

His heart got stuck in his throat as he felt like he was going to vomit anytime soon. He was lost of words and the doctor just wanted to leave him as soon as possible. He stunk, he smelled really bad and so did his wife.

"You don't know anything, you are wrong. She isn't dead. I brought her here with my arms, and you are telling me she is dead?.

You better go in there and treat my wife or else, I am going to burn down this hospital '' Kayden grabbed the doctor by the collar, and threw him on the floor.

The doctor was confused as to whether he should choke from Kayden's smell or retaliate.

But luckily for him, Kayden let him go, unable to digest what was going on, the doctor stood there like a mannequin.

Kayden dug his fingers into his hair like he normally did, scratching his head vigorously. He looked around and found nothing to destroy, there was nothing to unleash his anger on.

He couldn't help but blame himself for the death of Heaven, he felt like if he had gotten there sooner then maybe she wouldn't have died.

"Go in there and bring her back to life!!" he cried out, and the doctor ran back into the emergency room like a mad person.

Kayden wanted to go in there and look at her one last time, but the guilt he had inside of him didn't let him do it.

He looked at her lifeless body through the small circle of glass on the metal door, and then he headed towards the parking lot.

He drove out of the hospital on a lonely road, he had no direction. He couldn't tell where he was going and why he was going there, all he wanted was to be left alone.

He finally stopped at a cliff, almost driving off the cliff in an attempt to commit suicide.

But he knew that it was of no use doing that, he had tried it before and the car only ended up floating in mid-air. He got out of the car and walked to the edge of the cliff.

"AHHHHHH!!" He yelled at the sky, and listened as his echo bounced back on him. He was sweating so much and was under so much tension.

For the very first time in a long time, Kayden was crying. Tears rolled down his eyes, as if he was a little child and he didn't even bother to stop them. He wanted to let everything out of his system.

He didn't know why her death affected him so much, but he knew that she meant everything to him. His world practically revolved around hers, he didn't know that until he lost her.

She was the only one that cared about his feelings, she was the only one that recognized him as a human being and now she was gone.

"Why don't you just take me too?!.Cruel universe, you have never given me anything but pain and suffering. K*ll me too, I want to die, I am tired of living such a painful life!!!" He screamed down the cliff, but was replied to by his echo.

He threw his hand to his head and scratched it roughly, everything was over. He couldn't bring her back but the least he felt he could do, was to punish the m*rderer of his wife.

He wiped his tears and looked at his car.

Got into his car and drove off like a madman, he wanted to head straight to Emma's castle, but he needed a bath first, he stunk and he knew it.

At Kayden's castle

"Kayden, Where are you off to in such a hurry? You just got back" a clueless Imogen ran after Kayden ,after he got out of the shower.

"Can you please answer me?" Imogen kept on following him, as if there was something really important she was itching to tell him.

But Kayden didn't care, he didn't even want to look at her, let alone give her an answer. He kept on walking and when he got into his car, he slammed the door in her face and drove away.

He was ready to crush anyone and any vehicle that was going to get in his way, driving carelessly, he nearly ran down an innocent child.

"Ahhh" he heard her scream, and got out of the car almost immediately.

"What is it now, little girl? Can't you see where you are going huh?" He asked her with so much frustration. He looked at her, and she looked very familiar, too familiar.

"You, you are always rude to me" she pointed her little index finger at him.

"Hazel?" He recalled her face, and then guilt flushed through him once again, for the umpteenth time in that day.

He felt like after he had successfully k*lled her sister, he was just about to k*ll her as well.

He couldn't help the tear that found its way out of his eye.

"Why are you crying?" She looked at him with pity, and spread her arms for him to carry her.

He lifted her very carefully, she was so little and fragile.

"You know, my big sister Heaven says, you shouldn't cry because when you do, you will fall sick.

So, wipe your tears, everything will be okay" she used her little palm to wipe his face. Then, she pecked him on the forehead with a big smile still on her face. She was so sweet to him,just the way Heaven was towards him.

"Hazel!!" A lady came up from behind and screamed her name and forcefully took her away from him.

Kayden had suspected her to be Hazel's mother.

"Why would you run off like that, and here you are with a stranger? Let's go now, it's not safe for you here, and I don't like him" she said with such a strict voice.

She didn't even bother to talk with Kayden or know how she ended up with him at that time, all she wanted to do was take her as far away from him as possible.

For the first time in his life, Kayden was speechless, not because he wanted to be like that. But because the lump which was already formed in his throat made it difficult for him to say anything.

He looked around and saw the way people were staring at him.

He couldn't do anything, he just got into his car and slammed his head into the driver's wheel before he drove away angrily.
