At the castle

Kayden and Heaven arrived at the castle, with Kayden practically dragging her out of the car to the bedroom.

"What are you doing? Kayden! Leave me" Heaven kept on screaming all the way, while Imogen who stood by the staircase couldn't stop smiling to herself, even if she didn't know why.

Kayden was being so mean to her, she was so happy that they weren't all lovey to each other.

Heaven's POV

When we managed to arrive at his bedroom he threw me on the bed, and locked the door. Was he going to have sxx with me? And if I refuse, will he r*pe me?.

"Must you always think that I am going to f*ck you anytime we are in this room?.

If I wanted to take advantage of you, then believe me I would have had you from the very first day I set my eyes on you at the office" Kayden spoke to me, but I just couldn't understand the tone he was using.

I couldn't tell if he was angry at me, or just irritated by me. But, how was he able to know what I was thinking without me saying anything?

"Don't even bother your head about how I know that.

But just have it in mind, that from today onwards you are not allowed to leave this castle for work or for anything!!" He commanded me, as if he was my father that was grounding me.

"What??!!" I sprang up from the bed and went over to him.

"Are you holding me hostage?" I asked him.

"You can decide to call it whatever you want, but I will instruct the guards, and every other worker in the castle to keep a close eye on you until further notice.

And you will stop sleeping in the guest room from now on, you will sleep on the same bed with me in the same room.

I am not letting you out of my sight" he replied to me without even caring about how I felt about the whole situation.

I knew I signed the marriage contract with him, but it wasn't stated that I am going to be held captive. I turned away from him.

"Any way you want to see it, then please see it. I don't care what you think about me. All I know is that I am doing this for your protection".

Kayden spoke to me rudely before leaving the room.

Kayden's POV

Never have I been so scared in my entire life. When I saw the gun being pointed at her, I felt like my whole world was falling apart.

What was wrong with me? Why can't I see her in danger, or in pain? I know that she must hate me so much already, I know that she must think I am a monster just like everybody does but I really don't care.

When she became my wife, I vowed to protect her at all cost and if that means keeping her prisoner in the castle then I don't care.

Emma's POV

I picked up my phone and kept on calling him, but he didn't pick up the phone. Soon the guard I had sent ran towards me in my room and shut the door.

"My princess! My princess, he is dead!" He said breathing heavily, as he locked the door behind him.

"Dead? Who is dead?" I asked him and tried to calm him down.

"The guy you sent to k*ll princess Heaven" he replied, managing to keep his breath at a good pace.

"Don't you ever dare refer to her as a princess in my presence!" I slapped him across the face.

"Who k*lled him? Heaven?" I asked him, because I felt she was too timid and quiet to hurt even an ant.

"Prince Kayden k*lled him" he broke the undying silence, and drew my attention.

"Prince Kayden? How did he even find that out? Does he know that I sent him? Tell me?" I shook him forcefully.

"My princess, I think they had both left the office at the same time, his car was trailing behind hers and when the man came to do the job.

Prince Kayden just showed up from nowhere, and shielded her. But that's not the shocking part my princess" the guard was talking very slowly, he looked very frightened, as if he had just seen what no human had ever seen before.

"What happened?, tell me." I urged him to speak, too anxious to wait for him to get over the shock.

"So many bullets were fired at prince Kayden, but not a single one could pierce his skin.

He didn't even look like the bullets could cause any form of injury to him, he just stood there, using his body to serve as a shield to the princess…" he wanted to talk but paused his sentence, probably because I forbade him from referring to Heaven as a princess.

"Get out! Go away!" I shouted at him and waved my hands in the air, watching him run out of the room before I shut the door.

In anger, I grabbed my pillows and threw them to the floor, messing up my bed, and breaking the expensive flower vases that decorated the room.

I need to do something, but what?. I need to get rid of that girl but how? She is driving me crazy, she just can't come into my life and take my place as a bride.

She ruined my wedding and probably my entire life, she needs to pay. Kayden is mine and mine alone, I don't care whether he is a demon, he can be the devil himself for all I care. I want him, and that's all that matters.

Imogen's POV

"You may leave now" I instructed the guard that accompanied Kayden out of the palace.

It was very vital for me to get information about what happened between Kayden and Heaven, and why he was so mad at her.

But now I have heard what I needed to.

So apparently, someone had attempted to k*ll Heaven. Heaven was a nobody, so I don't think she had enemies who were so cruel, as to go to the extent of k*lling her.

But she married the prince, not just any prince, crowned prince Kayden, and no one would dare to attack Heaven while she is still his wife. The only person capable of doing that must be a royal blood, but who?
