Chapter 79: Chapter 79

Heaven couldn't hold back her tears, she had barely eaten anything since she left the hospital. She really wanted to know how Kayden was faring, but she couldn't go back to see him. She wasn't scared that Imogen was going to chase her, she was terrified that she might do something to harm her as well.

Kayden's POV

When I managed to get a glimpse of light, I felt down because I knew I wouldn't see my mum again, and at the same time. I was excited because I would be able to see Heaven's beautiful smile. I would be able to hear her sweet innocent voice.

I paused for a few seconds, and wondered why I suddenly felt cold and lonely. There was no one here with me, could it be that Heaven had left me to my fate?.

"Heaven!" Her name was the first I voiced out , but I got no response.

I felt chained, as I looked at the silly devices that had been attached to my body. It was very obvious that I was in a hospital. I began to detach everything that isn't of me, and climbed out of the bed.

Forcing the door open, as I stumped my feet on the ground, with widened eyes, desperately calling out to my wife who didn't seem to be anywhere close to the hospital.

"Kayden!" I heard someone call out to me from behind and I was disappointed.

"You are finally awake" Imogen said, and I could only imagine the smile on her face, when she ran to hug me with her head laying on my chest.

I shut my eyes tightly, while clenching my fist. I was in no mood to talk to her, but it would be heartless of me to get mad at her at this point.

"Where is Heaven?" I asked her, when she finally released me from her hold.

"She….she left. She said she didn't want to be with you anymore" Imogen spoke out, with her eyes fluttering.

"Do I look like a child?" I questioned in a very calm and composed manner.

"No, I am telling you the truth Kayden" She tried to lie to me. That made me furious, as I grabbed her by the elbow, and pinned her to the wall.

"WHERE IS MY WIFE IMOGEN?" I screamed, with my voice sending chills down her spine. For a moment, the hospital froze, as all eyes were on me. People stared at me as if I was a crazy person.

"She left, I swear" she shook in fear, avoiding eye contact with me. And honestly it seemed as if there was no need trying to force the truth out of imogen. She was just going to keep repeating the same thing, and I might be pushed to put her in a coma or something. I freed her and walked away from her, with her calling my name, yet I was still refusing to stop in my tracks.

*******

"How long have you been standing there?" Hannah, who had woken up about 30 seconds ago, finally spoke to Zamiel.

Zamiel stood, facing the wall while he was so lost in his thoughts, that he didn't realize that Hannah had woken up. She was too busy admiring his masculine body and wishing she could have him. She didn't understand why seeing him in the same room was giving her goosebumps all over.

"You're awake" Joy could be sensed from Zamiel's voice, as he rushed towards her, making himself sit comfortably on the bed just beside her.

"How many times have you kept saving my life?" A teardrop had found its way out of Hannah's left eye.

"As many times as it would take to keep you alive" He wiped her tears, and suddenly brought his lips close to her, kissing her so deeply.

Although, the kiss was deep, it wasn't the kind that showed desperation and the urge to have s*x with her. It showed affection, and many other things Hannah felt but she couldn't explain.

Zamiel's POV

I held Hannah's trembling hand as we walked into the castle. I don't know why she was so scared, and her fear seemed to have transmitted to me, when I felt a knife at my neck.

"Where is she?" I heard his cold hearted voice. At this point, my heart was confused whether to skip for joy or be scared for my dear life.

"Kayden…" I breathed heavily, trying to take the knife away from my neck.

"I will burn down this castle and every living being in it if you do not provide my wife for me. I was barely gone for two weeks, and my wife is nowhere to be found. What kind of family is this?" Kayden had completely lost his senses, but I could understand where he was coming from.

"Hannah, follow the maid. She will take you to my room" I instructed Hannah, who didn't want to let go of my hand in the first place.

"But…" she wanted to put up a fight.

"GO!!" I thundered, and she ran after the maid almost immediately.

Kayden patiently waited for her to ascend the stairs completely, before he threw the first unexpected punch at me.

"Where is my wife!!!" He screamed, breaking the flower vase close to me.

"I don't know" I lied, trying to swallow a huge chunk of saliva.

"You will know soon enough" he whispered, walking away from me.

If I don't find a way to bring Kayden and Heaven back together very soon, then Kayden will surely bring hell into this castle.

"Thank you" Imogen came out from her hiding spot.

I looked at her in disgust, she was the reason I didn't tell Kayden the truth. She had threatened to k*ll herself if I ever told where I had kept Heaven.

"You are a despicable human being" I spat out and she didn't seem to care.

"If fighting for the only man I have ever loved is termed despicable, then so be it '' Imogen pressed her lips.

"Imogen, he is your cousin. Your own flesh and blood" I looked at her, as if I was observing a ghost.

"Imogen!!" I called out to her, while she walked away from me without even looking back for once.
