Chapter 63: Chapter 63
Her line was beginning to break, and it was becoming more difficult to reach her location. I was becoming paranoid and was about to give up.
Maybe I was just exaggerating, and probably she is okay. I didn't want to look like a creep going after her, I bit my lower lip out of frustration, I didn't know what I was supposed to do.
I heard the beeping sound, and I got some kind of relief, at least I managed to get her location. She seemed to be somewhere at the center of the city.
Without thinking about it, or having any counter thoughts.
I put on my leather suit and leather jacket, while I grabbed my car keys.
The guards were already asleep so I was forced to open the gate by myself.
I drove recklessly, zooming to the center of the city, like a madman.
I couldn't get myself to think about one particular thing, different negative thoughts, on what might have happened to her kept on racing through my mind.
On one hand, I wanted to be wrong and just hoped she was fine, even if it would make me look like an idiot.
But, on the other hand, I swear I almost pissed in my pants out of fear.
I almost drove past the location because I had been thinking so much. My head collided with the steering wheel of my car, because of the force and speed I used to stop my car.
I could have hurt myself badly, but then again. I am not normal….I'll explain later.
I stepped out of the car, how dumb was it of me, to forget to bring an umbrella with me? I felt so ashamed of myself.
I looked around, but it was just a long tiled road.
But the GPS says she is here.
I saw a big house in front of me. I stopped to wonder if she was inside that house.
I had already walked towards the gate, it was very dark though, and seeing things wasn't easy….the moon's light wasn't bright enough this unfateful night.
But, how was I going to knock on the gate, because I want to see Hannah?
It was foolish of me to drive here in such haste.
I turned around to take my leave when I stumbled upon a soft object, I tried to look at what it was.
I brought out my phone, using the flashlight, so I could see better.. I thought that it might be an animal, maybe a cat or a dog…
"WHAT!!" I gasped when I saw a girl lying down on the wet floor. There was no way she was conscious, or at least in her right sense. Because no normal human being will lie down on the road like that.
I could barely see the girl's face, I couldn't see her face at all, because her hair was covering her face.
My hands were shaking, what was I going to do? What if someone k*lled her and dumped her d*ad body on the road….could it be the people who lived in the mansion just behind me?
No, it can't be them…no one will be so dumb as to k*ll a person, and just dump the body, right outside their house….that's pure foolishness.
If I take her with me, and help her. I might be held responsible for whatever happened to her, even though I know nothing about it.
But, leaving her in such an awful state will be more than wrong, it would be heartless.
I might be cold hearted, but I still do have a heart.
I needed to check if she was alive first, then I will know what I am supposed to do next.
I bent down slowly, trying to keep my shaky hands steady, as I moved her hair away from her face.
NO!!! I shook in shock.
Zamiel's POV
With my breathing increasing heavily, and my palms vibrating and sweating under the rain, gush I didn't even think that was possible.
I moved back in shock, it was more like a force had pushed me backward, so heavily that my back came in contact with the gate, causing a loud noise.
Though, I don't think that people living inside the house had heard anything.
It wasn't possible, I refused to believe anything in front of me.
*****
Zamiel's eyes had turned completely red as he saw Hannah lying on the floor with her face covered in her own blood. She was almost unrecognizable, if not for the rainwater that kept on washing the blood away.
"Hannah!...Hannah!" He called out to her, but she wasn't answering him
He placed her head on his lap, with his palm tapping her face, hoping for her consciousness.
It dawned on him that he was delaying, he didn't know how long she had been laying there. He lifted her bridal style in his arms, and opened the car door with his legs.
Driving like a maniac to the nearest hospital.
"Not again. Not the hospital again. Who? How? Why? Where?" Those were his thoughts.
He managed to get her to the hospital, getting the attention of the doctors and nurses on standby. They ran out of the hospital with a stretcher, wheeling her down to the emergency room.
"You can't come in sir…..we are very sorry" the nurses stopped him from going in the emergency room with them, as the nurse shut the door, and closed the curtains with force.
Zamiel was frustrated, as he kept on slamming his fist on his palm, confused and lost in his thoughts.
"It can't be!!! It can't be" Zamiel screamed at the top of his lungs, disturbing the doctors, nurses, and other patients at the hospital.
No wonder he was feeling uneasy, he thought to himself. He felt like the villain of the whole situation, even when he wasn't responsible.
He went into the bathroom, washing his hands and face over the running water.
