Chapter 60: Chapter 60

Hannah's POV

And now, you got pregnant, you went ahead for an abortion. You couldn't even spare the child for your

mistakes?!!!" My dad was distorted, and the moment he said those words to me.

An uncontrollable amount of ears poured from my eyes.

"Oh please, wipe those crocodile tears of yours" my stepmom flung her hand in the air, while trying to console my father.

I didn't need this, I needed to come home to a happy family, a family that will comfort me and not judge me for no reason.

What exactly was going on?

"Dad, I didn't go for an abortion, I went to…." I was talking, but Joan suddenly interrupted me.

"You went to do what then? Answer" she practically stood up from her seat, and attempted to slap me across the face, but I held her hands in midair.

"You now want to beat up your younger sister, for a mistake you made huh?" My stepmom looked at me and painted me as the villain in the picture.

"That's not true, you saw that she raised her hand to me first. I only defended myself from her '' I tried to talk, but as usual she hissed at me.

"You should have defended your womb. Because, if you did, you wouldn't have been pregnant with that disgusting thing you went to flush away" she replied to me.

I couldn't believe that my father remained silent when they were saying all these things to me. He didn't even stand up for me, not even once. Had my stepmom brainwashed him to that extent?

"The child I carry can never be disgusting" I answered back to her, and unfortunately my words came out wrongly.

"So, you agree that you did carry a child in your womb?" She raised an eyebrow at me.

"No!" I immediately answered back, but she scoffed and shook her head.

"I don't know why the ladies of this generation cannot close their legs anymore.

Why can't they just be like my daughter, Joan" she pointed at Joan, who blushed.

Does she think that her daughter is any better than me?.

Very funny…. because from all that I remember, Joan has had not less than twenty men in her life. Twenty has to be an understatement.

"Just shut up!! Everybody should just keep their mouths closed. I have had enough of all of you" My dad suddenly spoke up.

Oh! So now he talks, I am beginning to hate him for everything. Why won't I?, when he is letting these people do horrible things to me.

"I am disappointed in you. '' My father pointed his right index finger at me, shaking it vigorously at me.

I didn't think I had anything good to say about him either, especially after he got married to this witch.

"But dad…" I tried to speak.

"SHUT UP!!" He yelled at me, and I lowered my head in defeat.

My dad was about to walk away, and I closed my eyes slowly. Happy that at least, the matter was going to end there.

"Are you just going to leave it at that? You know she will keep on doing this until you punish her for it.

Very soon, she will start having s*x with one of your associates" my stepmom added fuel to the already burning fire.

"What else do you want me to do? I cannot throw her away, she is still my daughter" my father declared.

"Then, you will have to punish her. Just the way other parents do, because if she becomes more spoiled than this, believe me. It is going to cause a huge problem for you in the future" my stepmom said, and my dad saw sense in her words.

Oh, God!.... Please save me, she wants to torture me again.

"Fine, but I can't do that. You will have to punish her yourself. After all, she is your daughter as well, '' my father replied.

"No worries' ' my stepmom smiled, looking all innocent.

I knew the danger that had already befallen me. I was done for.

Zamiel's POV

"You look disturbed, are you still thinking about your wife-to-be?" Imogen walked into my room, jumped on my bed, and took the laptop on my lap away from me.

"No, I am not thinking about that…I…it's nothing" I wanted to tell her about Hannah, and why I am bothered about her.

I have been calling her for the past hour, and she wasn't picking up any of my calls…

"Then, why do you seem to be absent-minded? I mean your laptop has been in front of you for like twenty-five minutes now, and you haven't typed anything.

Not to talk more of the countless times I came to check up on you, and you didn't even budge.

You know that if something is wrong, you can always tell me right?" She touched my chin. Massaging it, as if I was a child.

"I know that is, and besides I am the one who is supposed to be saying this to you. And not the other way around" I laughed at her, trying to change the topic as quickly as possible.

"Can I sleep here with you tonight?" She asked me while pouting her lips.

"Sure," I replied to her, and dropped my laptop on the side stool. Maybe, if I get some sleep, I will stop worrying about her.

Maybe Hannah had fallen asleep, and I was just worried for nothing. But, she could have at least dropped a message for me.

I don't feel too good about this. There was a loud sound outside, and Imogen was immediately shaken,as she jumped on me. Holding so tightly.

"Seriously? Don't tell me that you are still scared of thunder. Imogen, you are no longer a child" I reminded her, still holding her very tightly.

"That's easy for you to say" she frowned her face, warming up to me some more.

"It's okay, just go to bed. It's a little thunder, and it cannot hurt anyone, just sleep okay I'm here" I pampered her while stroking her hair, just the way I would do it, when we were a lot younger.
