Chapter 50: Chapter 50
"I want to talk to Zamiel privately" she shyly said, making everyone but Zamiel and Imogen burst into laughter.
She was shyly hiding her face, blushing all the way through, while Zamiel was rolling his eyes in disgust.
"Sure, Zamiel please take her to your room, so you can talk privately, while we are finalizing the arrangements'' Keren spoke up, with so much confidence.
As if, Zamiel had agreed to marry Joan already.
"Let's go" he grumpily said, as he ran to his room.
Zamiel's POV
There is no way I am going to marry her. She looks and acts like some kind of a spoiled brat.
What kind of girl follows a guy to his room, on the first day she meets him?
"Hey" She waved at me, closing the door of my room, and sitting on my bed as if she had been there before.
"Hi, why did you ask for us to speak in private?" I asked her, clenching my fist, trying my best to ignore my anger.
"Because I have never met you before. I don't want to jump into marriage with some unknown person.
I want to know you, I want you to tell me about yourself. I just don't want to hear about you from your parents" She uttered.
Oh my goodness! She doesn't want to jump into marriage with some unknown person, but she dares to jump onto his bed.
What if I touch her or something, well…with the look of things, I don't think that she is v*rgin anyways, so it wouldn't mean anything to her.
"So??" She asked me, when she noticed my long-lasting silence.
"So, I want you to get out of my room. I don't want to marry you. I don't even want to get married right now.
Go out there, and tell your parents you don't like me" those were the words I was itching to say to her, I wanted to tell her these words.
But, hell no I can't, I don't know how she would react to hearing that. I don't want her or any of her parents to come and create a scene later on.
When they leave today, I'll simply tell my mother that I am not interested in marrying her, she seems too cheap in my opinion.
"I like you, I think you are cute" she spoke up again, when she noticed that I still hadn't said a word to her.
"Really? But you have never met me before now. I'm not sure, you were aware of my existence" I forced a smile on my face, sitting close to her.
"True, so I'm guessing it's love at first sight" she giggled, and smiled halfway. I mean, what else was I supposed to do with her?
"Have you had a girlfriend before?" She inquired, such a ridiculous question.
"Yes, many. I was once addicted to having so many at once…. I still talk to many of them, even after ending the relationship" I lied, well it wasn't a complete lie though.
I still had some ex-girlfriends, I would hook up with once or twice.
"Wow? Me too" she confessed.
Initially, I thought that I was finished, but now I am sure that I would be completely finished, if I end up marrying her.
"When was the last time you did anything with them?" She kept on asking, but why were her questions directed at my love and sex life?
"Not too long, this week I suppose, '' I told her, lying on the bed, while I faced the ceiling.
"But, today is Monday," she replied, pressing her lips together.
"So?" I raised both of my eyebrows at her. I mean, why was she telling me what day of the week we were in?
"So, the week has just begun.
Which means, either you are lying or you had s*x yesterday?" She said slowly, and I scoffed at her calculations.
"I did it yesterday then" I shrugged, and she looked away slowly.
"Even when you knew I was coming to see you!" She pouted her lips, acting all sad and innocent as if I cared about her arrival. I even wanted her to leave, as soon as possible.
"Yes," I stood up, sitting upright.
"We are not married yet, so there is no need for me to start committing myself to you.
And besides, there is no assurance that you are going to end up being my wife" I said the last words, that kind of scared her, but I couldn't care less anyways.
She had already ruined my entire day with her presence, so why not give her a mini heart attack as payback?
"Why would you even say that to me? Do you plan to marry someone else?" She questioned.
"Maybe" I scoffed, I wasn't lying though. Initially, I planned on marrying Heaven when she finishes her contract with Kayden.
"Do you also plan to marry someone else?" I asked her as well.
"Of course not, I just told you I like you" she made her earlier statement again. She can be mad at me for all I care, I don't like her and that is final, I just wish I could tell her.
"Okay, we are done with this conversation now. Let's go, before someone starts asking us silly questions" I stood up, heading for the door without her, she could come if she wanted to.
I guess she was in too much shock after my behavior towards her. She was expecting that nice, handsome, soft-spoken, kind-hearted prince charming.
I might be a prince, but I ain't one of those she reads in story books.
"Wait up" she tried to catch up with me, after meditating on her own for some minutes.
"Are we leaving already?" She was in shock when she saw her parents standing up.
They looked like they had already finished their discussions, and we were ready to leave.
"Yes dear, don't worry. I am sure you and Prince Zamiel will be seeing each other more often from now on" Joan's mum had a big smile on her face, and for some reason, my mum also had a similar smile on her face.
