Chapter 48: Chapter 48
Imogen's POV
Three white Mercedes, and two black Lamborghinis had driven into the castle. I stood by my room window, watching.
Guessing the kind of personalities that were going to step down from the car. I wouldn't say that I was disappointed, because just by the sight of the cars, they screamed wealth.
I expected it anyway, the rich don't marry the poor in most cases.
So, which one of the beautiful ladies was to be my brother's bride?
They were both beautiful, even though I couldn't get a clear view of them both.
I could see how beautiful they were
Although, one of them who looked like the older version of the other, suddenly put on a face mask, I found it strange though.
She was more attractive, and I had to guess if she was the lucky one.
Maybe, it was time to go meet Zamy and break the news to him.
"Your bride is here your highness" I informed him, the moment I opened his door without a care in the world. Not looking to check if he was inside at all.
I turned my head and found an empty bed.
Still, with a lot of excitement, I walked towards his bathroom door, knocking on it.
"Zamy….you can not avoid getting married forever. It doesn't matter if you get married now or in the future. Just open the door, and come out now, I have a good feeling about her.
She is very beautiful, and her family seems to be very wealthy….you know what. You should come to see her for yourself" I kept on talking and talking, but he didn't reply to me.
He didn't even say a word to me, and it made me feel as if I was the only one in the room.
"Zamy!!" I yelled, knocking on the door aggressively, as if I knew my brother very well.
He hates noise, and would always scold me if I tried to make noise when he was around. Out of curiosity, I pushed his bathroom door open, and there was no one inside.
That explains why I didn't hear the shower or tap running.
"Imogen, is your brother done with his bath yet? The guests are here" My mum suddenly walked into the room.
"No, he…" I stopped, I didn't have any words.
She looked at my face, and walked up to me, staring at the empty room with her mouth wide open.
It was as if she had just received a shock strong enough to give her a heart attack.
"Mum!" I snapped my fingers, waving my hands in front of her. I needed to get her back to reality.
"Your brother….oh my!!" She held her chest dramatically, as she let her a*s fall on the bed.
" What am I going to tell the guests? And the girl? She is just there waiting for her soon-to-be husband happily" my mum spoke, and I could sense the distress in her voice.
The way her voice was cracking, showed that she was not happy about the whole issue.
"Relax mum, maybe he just went out to get something. I'll call him now, I'm sure he'll be back soon" I tried to calm her down, bringing out my phone to dial his number.
"Please try" she was getting agitated.
"Mum….he" I stammered again, as I slowly brought the phone away from my ear.
"He what?!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
"He isn't answering any of my calls" I broke the news to her.
She didn't say a word to me after that, she just walked away from the room.

Meanwhile in the sitting room of the castle. Hannah and her sister Joan sat down, patiently waiting for the queen to arrive with the prince.
"Your highness" Keren licked her lips, calling out to her husband, while still trying to maintain her cool.
She was putting in a lot of effort, so the guests wouldn't be aware of what was happening.
Alex was smart enough to have sensed that something was wrong. Giving off a fake smile, he stood up from his seat, and went to meet his wife.
"What has your son done this time?" Alex rolled his eyes. Although he hadn't been told anything. He was sure Zamiel was the problem.
"Nothing," Keren replied, with a shaky voice.
"...." Alex was quiet as he raised an eyebrow at her.
"Alex, I can't find Zamiel. He isn't picking up his calls either" Keren finally let out her problem, she was already panicking. It broke Alex's heart to see her that way.
"Don't worry, I will try my best to get to him. I don't mind turning the kingdom upside down if that is what it takes to find him.
Until then, you will have to go and entertain our guests" he informed her.
She looked at him, and took a deep breath, while she walked towards the guests.
"He is always busy. Please be patient, he has gone out to do some work. He would be back soon" Keren smiled, her smile looked so real. But, behind that smile was fear.
"So early?" Joan's mom was having doubts
"It's okay mum, I'll wait" Joan was too happy about the marriage, to even suspect anything.
"I…I have to take this" Hannah stood up, the moment she heard her phone ringing.
"Why is her face covered?" Keren was curious as to why Hannah wore a face mask.
"Oh nothing, she's just sick. She is protecting the rest of us " Joan's mother faked a smile, and Keren shrugged. She had bigger issues to attend to.
Joan had only waited for ten minutes, and when she felt disturbed, she kept on tapping her feet on the floor.
"What is it now?" Joan's mum asked, but she shook her head horizontally, signaling that nothing was wrong.
Zamiel's POV
"Why did I have to come back here?" That was the question I kept on asking myself as I drove into the castle.
Out of frustration, I got down from the car and looked around. I saw a lady standing close to the roses making a phone call, as she played with them.
She quickly turned around, but I couldn't see her face since she was putting on a face mask.
