Chapter 28: Chapter 28
Karen's POV
I stood up annoyed and looked at him. "I'm not going to kiss you." I told him bluntly and walked into the room. Helen came and quickly closed the door. "What's wrong?" She asked.
"Joe's behavior is totally wrong, how can he ask me to kiss him when he knows that I'm Brody's girlfriend?"
"He just wanted to taste your lips." She joked with a side smirk.
My voice remained calm and steady as we talked. "This is real bullshit. He shouldn't try to do that when he knows that I'm not his girlfriend. He should have respect for me and Brody and if he doesn't, I can't be comfortable around him."
Her eyes locked onto mine in disappointment. "It was just a kiss. You shouldn't really bother about it."
"I couldn't let him kiss him because I don't have feelings for him." I told her.
She shook her head in a heavy sigh. "I still don't understand you. It was a game and you agreed to play. It was just an harmless kiss."
"I'm not interested." I simply replied.
Turning on the shower, I quickly got in and undressed my clothes.
I began to bathe as I let the water flow for minutes resting my hand on the wall along with my head. After I was done taking a bath, I wore a gown and came out of the bathroom.
Brody's POV
My mom walked towards me as I sat down on the sofa. I dropped the laptop with a smirk. "I was so right about Karen. Mom, she didn't kiss him and I'm so excited."
"I don't know what to think anymore, I'll ask her to come back to the house." She said and I smiled.
I glanced at her but could tell that she was confused. "That would be better. The whole house has been very boring without Karen at home."
She chuckled, a faint glimmer of humor in her eyes. "I don't have issues with her." She replied and climbed the stairs. Aunt Patricia came and I sighed dejectedly. She was the last person I really wanted to see. I wasn't in the perfect mood to see her.
"I was hoping that you would get married to a rich girl and not a pauper."
I frowned, my expression troubled. My brows furrowed and she released a sigh. "It's actually great that we fell in love and I think our different background shouldn't stop us from loving each other."
She looked surprised but pleased. "I should believe you but I don't," she paused and looked at me, surveying my words. "Marriage is like a commitment."
I frowned and shrugged. "I really don't understand you. I'm not getting married to anyone. That shouldn't concern you."
She laughed and opened the door for someone to enter. I was shocked as Sarah walked into the house. "Sarah," I called out, still "What are you doing here?" I asked.
Her lips curved into an ambivalent smile and she smiled. "You shouldn't treat your ex girlfriend like this." Sarah said and sat near me.
"I'll leave you guys to have fun." Mom murmured and climbed the stairs quickly. She didn't want to give me a chance to complain.
I turned to face Sarah. "What are you doing here?"
She licked her lips. "I don't know, I'm just here to help you."
I was beginning to feel a little tense. What was going on? "What are you doing here?"
"I just told you."
"I didn't ask for your help,"
"And?" She asked, surprised.
"You should leave." I muttered in the most authoritative voice.
She chuckled and touched my face with her soft hands. "I know you want this, we can do this here. I'm very sure Karen didn't offer sex to you."
I felt my body shiver in response, I really wanted this even though I was trying to be faithful to Karen. It was just a contract and I shouldn't be bothered about having sex with another lady. "Are you sure about this?" I asked.
"Of course."
"I'm not sure, Karen is the woman I love." I told her.
She frowned and shrugged. "She would never know, we should have fun. I know you've missed me."
"Alright, we should go to my room, we can't possibly have sex here." I replied and stood up.
Karen's POV
"What do you think Brody's doing right now?" Helen asked me with a smirk after I wore a plain shirt and a jean trouser.
"I don't know but I'm sure that he's in the office."
She laughed. "Brody is actually lazy when it comes to going to work. He's very lazy and believe me, his workers are really scared of him because he always sacks someone if he goes to his organization."
I chuckled. "I'm not surprised."
Joe entered the room and looked at me. He sat down on the bed facing me and coughed. I looked at him, expecting an apology. "You should apologize for asking me to kiss you." I said.
He narrowed his eyes at me with a smile. "I'm really sorry, I didn't know you would be annoyed. The girls must really hate you, they don't want to talk to you."
"They're just being jealous." Helen chirped in.
I chuckled. "I don't really care about them. A lot of people hated me and ceased to be friends with me because I became Brody's girlfriend." I said.
"You're a Billionaire's girlfriend."
'A billionaire's fake girlfriend." A voice corrected him in my head.
"I've forgiven you." I told Joe and he stood up happily.
"Thanks Karen, you're just the best. We're friends and I'll always stand by you."
I nodded and watched him leave the room. "He's such a good person." I muttered and Helen smiled..
"Exactly, I also like Joe."
I giggled excitedly. "You should get married to him if you like him."
She chuckled. "Nah, Diego wants me to get back with his father and I also have a wedding to plan."
My eyes widened. "Who's getting married?" I asked her.
"It's going to be a surprise," She answered with a smirk. "Can I tell you a secret?"
I nodded.
Brody's POV
Walking into the bedroom, Sarah closed the door and I removed my shirt and looked at her. "Huh, which style do you want?" I asked.
She giggled and licked her lips. "Any style you want, baby. I love it when you hit me from behind."
Suddenly, I imagined Karen crying in front of me and quickly wore back my shirt. "What's wrong?" She asked.
"I don't know but I'm definitely not doing this." I answered.
"We can do this, I'll make you feel like you're in paradise." She assured me with a grin.
