Chapter 22: Chapter 22
Renata was so upset that Danas began to dare to oppose her. Especially to the point of threatening her. "Who is she, how dare she threaten me? Bitch."
The woman cursed. Her face looked bright red. Her eyes held a tremendous grudge. She would never let anyone stand up to her.
Renata returned to her apartment. She opened the door violently and slammed it. The sound of it thudding startled those who heard it. Renata didn't care.
She threw the bag in her hand carelessly and landed on the bed. Renata then walked to the sink and washed her face.
She repeatedly washed her face and wet her hair, hoping that her frustration with Danas would go away. However, the opposite happened. Images of Danas threatening her ran through her head without pause.
"Aaaarrghh. Shit!"
Renata exclaimed loudly again. One hand unconsciously hit the glass hanging in front of the sink. It cracked. Shattered. Renata's hand was bleeding.
However, Renata didn't care about it. She just groaned for a while and let the blood drip slowly from between her fingers.
For Renata, the hatred that was now consuming her was far more painful than the pain from the glass scratches.
"I have to stop Danas. She must be removed from my life and also from Melvin's life but how?"
Renata stared at her reflection in the cracked mirror. A flash of hatred and fear was reflected in her eyes. Fear?
Scared? Yes, fear. Renata was afraid that Danas would tell Melvin the truth about Amaira's death. If that happened then all her plans could fall apart.
"Melvin must not know. The incident of Amaira's death and its cause must be closed forever. Danas can't mess up all my plans," Renata muttered as she combed her messy hair with her fingers.
She still stood in front of the mirror. The sink water was still flowing. Renata then washed the wound on her hand under the water.
"Auch. It hurts." Renata only felt the pain now. Danas really made her unlucky. Even just by remembering him, her hand could get hurt like this.
The water faucet was turned off roughly. Renata turned her back and walked into the small room of her apartment.
In the center of the room, Renata walked back and forth. In her head, a new plan began to formulate. She wanted to eliminate and deter Danas.
"I must kill her. Danas is like a thorn stuck in my foot. It's painful and must be removed immediately!"
One sentence thickened Renata's mind. Danas was destroyed. Renata smiled wryly. "I must do everything possible to make Danas disappear. I don't want Melvin to leave me."
The biggest reason that made Renata so afraid of Danas was of course because she didn't want to lose Melvin. Danas is too dangerous to stay by Melvin's side.
However, how to separate and keep Danas away from Melvin? While they are husband and wife? Danas was with Melvin everyday in their house. Anything was possible.
"Anything? Melvin and Danas can do anything in their house. Oh, that is annoying!"
Renata got annoyed again as she imagined Melvin and Danas alone in their house. What are they doing? Fighting or even making love?
The flames of jealousy began to ignite and burn Renata's fragile heart. She may be evil, she may be a master manipulator, but she would never deal with jealousy.
The thought that the man who had been in her arms all this time might be out there holding her tightly and making love to a woman made Renata's body shiver with jealousy.
Especially, when Renata clearly imagined the appearance of Danas who might be deliberately flirting with Melvin. Renata was angry. She screamed in frustration again and started rummaging through the things in her apartment.
She pulled the tablecloth off the dining table and threw it. The items on it naturally fell and spilled all over the place.
Renata then moved towards the shelf on the side of the wall. She picked up and slammed the items that had been neatly arranged in the multipurpose shelf.
Everything fell scattered on the floor. The noise made by Renata might have been heard by the residents of the apartment next door. However, Renata did not bother.
While her disappointment and anger had not subsided, she continued to rage and destroy her own belongings.
Satisfied with making her ship look like a broken ship, Renata fell down on the floor. She leaned her back against the wall and laughed incoherently.
"Hahaha. I can't fight you Danas! You don't know who I really am yet." Renata spoke to herself. Various swear words came out of her mouth again.
Renata continued to curse Danas and said that she would make the woman regret it and could no longer live in peace.
"Don't think that because you're Melvin's wife now, you can do things to me. I can't! Melvin is mine forever. I won't let a weak woman like you touch him!"
Renata's hand moved to reach the small portrait she had slammed earlier. It contained a picture of her and Latar embracing and smiling.
Renata's fingers felt the surface of the photo with mixed feelings. She couldn't express her feelings for Melvin. She loved him very much but in a way that might be difficult for Melvin to understand.
Renata realized that everything she did to Melvin was for his love. Love that means complete control. Renata didn't want Melvin to go and throw her away.
"You can't go and dump me. I've given everything for you, Melvin. Right now, all I want is to get rid of that thorn," Renata muttered.
Renata continued to stare at Melvin's face. While her brain started looking for ways to get rid of Danas.
"Melvin, I must get rid of that woman. I must make her feel bad and not dare to oppose me again. If necessary, she should be scared every time she sees me." Renata spoke as if Melvin was in front of her.
"I'll make her feel deterred and beg for my forgiveness. However, even if she kneels and begs, I won't have mercy on her. She's already dared to come into our lives and wreak havoc!"
That's how much Renata hated Danas. The woman she considered weak but at the same time she feared and was jealous of. "Just disappear from this world, Danas?"
Renata moaned in annoyance. She put down the picture frame. She then stood up and looked at the whole room of her apartment which was now like a broken ship.
However, instead of cleaning up or regretting her bad behavior, Renata laughed and seemed satisfied. The sound of her laughter may sound strange to those who hear it but not to Renata. She considers herself the most powerful and clever.
"Look, I can destroy anything. I don't even care about destroying my own things. You get ready Danas. I will also destroy your life. Let no one dare to oppose me anymore. Huh!"
