Brianna hid her astonishment to see Lucien taking the lead. But as refreshing as it felt, she did not want to reprimand or stop him. It wasn’t like Lucien was not expected to know a thing or two when it comes to strategy, he was a businessman, after all, his wisdom in planning and brain in creating possible and applicable actions to achieve a major or overall aim is not to be ignored.

“I’m listening,” Brianna answered urging Lucien to continue.

“Once we cut their communications to whoever sent them here, we can move without being noticed. We have enough people to handle the situation here and we will have enough people to send to where Charles Anderson is and just as you said earlier, seize the King and checkmate!” Lucien stated assuringly.

“IT team, do you agree this plan is viable?” Brianna asked.

“Yes!”

Andy, Enzo, and Jack answered almost in unison.

“But there is a choice you have to make here, babe,” Lucien leaned his hands on the armrest of Brianna’s chair, turning her around to face Lucien. The two’s eyes met, one was widened and blinking as she waited for what the man was about to say next, while the other was expressing extreme seriousness.

“What choice?” Brianna asked.

“First, you will stay here and take control of the situation from here. While I lead our team to head out….”

“Wait!” Brianna butted in. But Lucien raised his right hand to say he was not done talking yet.

“We can stay here together and let our men do the tasks,” Lucien continued.

“I don’t do things that way, I thought you know me by now,” Brianna argued.

“I also know about that so, the third option is, we go there together,” Lucien declared.

“Not that I do not trust you can do things like lead our men to battle, but I still don’t want to send you into a war without me beside you,” Brianna frowned expressing annoyance at Lucien’s words. “You are smart, I know, but the battlefield is somewhere we get to familiarize ourselves through constant practice and personal experience. And I have more of that than you, so I am more confident.”

“I am aware of that. But over my dead body will I ever let you go into a battlefield without me by your side,” Lucien retorted indignantly.

“Staying here together will kill me with the distress of knowing how things are doing out there, so it's not an option I am willing to pick either,” Brianna’s eyes squinted.

“Then, let’s go there together!” Lucien blurted decisively. He tried to hide the excitement in his voice but it was difficult not to notice for everyone who could hear and witness the conversation.

“Don Leon, what do you say about these options Luci is presenting?” Brianna directed her question to the old Michaelson who was fully aware of the conversation that was taking place.

“I would be very honest to say that if only it was for me to decide, I would ask both of you to stay behind and let our reliable people deal with the matter to make sure you both stay safe,” Leandro replied with a calm voice.

“And if my opinion counts, Little Liz, I agree with this old man beside me. I want to assure you both that our men are more than capable to handle this matter, but of course with both of your guidance. I mean to say, you can still join this task but not from the front line. Stay with the IT team and guide our men, I believe it may not be as challenging as when you are there on the battlefield, but you would still boost the confidence of our men and bring a big contribution to the mission’s victory,” Andy Lockwood also chimed in.

“I don’t mean to doubt your abilities, Anna, and you, too, Luci, but I am looking forward to seeing you two exchange vows of marriage in the nearest future, I don’t want anything happening to the two of you,” Leandro added with a tone of plea.

As if everyone was supporting Don Leon’s solemn adjure, Jack, Blake, Tatum, and Enzo also shared their thoughts.

“I agree with Don Leon, Brei,” Jack said.

“Boss, we are ready to do anything, just say the word. It will be done as if you were right there with us. You have my word,” Blake Gordon spoke with exceeding confidence.

“My team and I are also ready, Sir, Boss B. We are ready for your orders,” Tatum Eliott declared.

“Young Master and Young Madame, our IT team is always ready for your commands,” just like Leandro, Enzo’s speech was calm and polite as always.

Lucien was smiling happily as he stared at Brianna who seemed to have an inner battle of whether to listen to the people around her or ignore everyone else and do whatever she had in mind.

“Babe? What do you think we should do?” Lucien asked Brianna softly.

Lucien was prepared to see Brianna was having difficulty deciding what to do, but he was as surprised when Brianna answered him with determination.

“We don’t have much time to waste now,” Brianna answered. “As we speak, another team must have been deployed in replacement to the first batch that failed to do what they came for, knowing Charles Anderson is among those behind all these, we have to be cautious and wise enough to counterpart,” she added.

Lucien nodded and sat on his chair as if he understood what Brianna was about to do without saying a word.

“Blake, interrupt the network of those snipers in position. We need to cut their communications so we can deploy Tatum and his team to surprise Charles Anderson in his hiding place. When we get the resort secure, we will send Blake and more backup to assist,” Brianna fluently announced.

“Copy that!” Blake affirmed snappily.

“Tatum, stand by. Blake will tell you when to move out,” Brianna added.

“Copy!” Tatum Eliott confirmed, then relayed the command to his men in the team that they were about to leave the area so they have to be ready and quick.

“Jack, leak the proofs of Terrence Clayton’s lifestyle in prison for people to know. The moment it shows in public, even if he is a powerful ex-politician, no one will dare come forward to protect him when his enemy is the public with strong and undeniable evidence. Even the government officials involved in such anomaly and bribery will be shaken to lose their positions if they admit to such special treatment for criminals,” Brianna said.

“Enzo’s team will be the eyes and ears for Tatum’s team as they go forward. Luci and I will join you guys when Blake and his team clear our area here. Uncle Andy, we need more men on standby, because we are not sure what battlefield is waiting for Tatum and his team at Charles Anderson’s location,” Brianna swiftly stated every command without hesitations.

Along with Tatum’s team was a company of almost two hundred soldiers, including medics and support. Blake has the same, plus the original members of their mercenary team, they covered the whole resort from all directions as their designated area while Tatum and his team were assigned to secure the resort building. Half of a company of soldiers was assigned to secure Levi and Sandra Michaelson, another half was in the shadow monitoring the Casino building and LM building. The rest of Leandro Michaelson’s private army was assigned to secure his mansion, Lucien’s villa, and the rest of the Michaelsons' properties that might get attacked by the enemy when they get distracted.

Everyone affirmed they got the message loud and clear.

Soon enough, Blake did his task and Tatum had his go signal. Enzo did his part and guided Tatum just as Brianna had ordered. Jack also started to hack the leading national television channels to let the video of Terrence Clayton be seen by every citizen watching the television at the moment that the criminal was not living the life he is expected to as a lawbreaker. Lucien kept his eyes on the tasks Brianna had assigned him to do, but Brianna seemed to be very busy with something she had not mentioned.

“B, I did all you have asked me to do. What’s next?” Jack asked enthusiastically.

“Good, you’re just in time. I need you to check on Terrence Clayton’s loyal men who aren’t with him in prison. I am guessing they aren’t staying idle at this moment. Let’s see where they are and see what we have to do about them,” Brianna said casually.
