Chapter 202: Chapter 202

Everything went through just as Brianna had planned them. Knowing where the exact location was, she drove the truck to a shopping mall with a branch of the appliance store in it to avoid any suspicions if anyone was watching the moves from the Michaelsons’ mansion. Their enemies are not to be taken lightly, so Brianna did her best to move discreetly.

A few cars were readily parked when Brianna arrived at the basement, and she ordered their men to move with the utmost discretion and left the place to take different directions. They were supposed to surround the vicinity but not without making sure they were unnoticeable.

The Michaelson couple was at the hospital they were working, and there were buildings of different departments around and nearby for Brianna and her men to climb and get to where Levi and Sandra were being kept for safety.

“We need to move as fast as we can… Do you have eyes on them, Jack?” Brianna asked with a stern tone.

Don Leon made sure to remind Brianna about his concerns regarding trusts, and he did not make his statements vague when he said Brianna should consider the fact that Jack Foster is Charles Anderson’s son.

But Brianna made her response as clear as how the Don expressed his words.

“I trust my men with my life. I am sure if there is anything I need to know, they would never hesitate to tell me, so I can deal with the issue accordingly, even if it involves Charles Anderson. Because he may be Jack’s biological father, but he had never been any of the sorts to Jack. So, I will never doubt my men, not even Jack Foster.”

Leandro had to admit that there was no definite reason other than being blood-related to Charles Anderson for him to doubt Jack Foster. He was merely assuming, or in his view, it was just being extra careful and avoiding unnecessary surprises. But hearing Brianna say her thoughts about the old Michaelsons’ words of advice, he did not insist. He did not argue to let his suggestion happen. Leandro respected Anna’s decisions, but he did not leave any margins for the enemy to get through their midst like a thief in the night.

Brianna gave orders for everyone she had sent in different directions to move through paths unseen to many.

“You guys take the top of the elevator from the top floor.”

Brianna ordered the men in the west direction.

“Guys in the east take the windows through the other building. Would that be possible, Jack?” She asked Jack if her idea would be viable to execute.

“I am not so sure, but the surveillance camera from that building showed the Michaelson couple ran into it with three men of their security. Another three men were guarding the hallway, standing from different angles aside from the two pairs of civilian bodyguards standing as watchmen on the elevators and fire exits, but I still suggest you let a tiny drone fly, B,” Jack answered. He could control the drone from his location so Brianna would not have to bother about it and have a good, if not an accurate, view of what Brianna and everyone else would be walking into.

Brianna did as Jack had suggested. And continued to give orders to everyone. It was broad daylight, and the place had people everywhere; it was a hospital. After all, having a lot of patients would have been one thing. Still, even the employees and medical practitioners alone would have been a mass of people vulnerable to any kind of risk once the situation turned worse and escalated beyond control.

The other party must have also considered doing their job discreetly. They must have speculated that creating chaos in the hospital would make their mission impossible to accomplish since they were supposed to abduct the Michaelson couple alive.

“Blake, do you have a clear vision?” Brianna asked Blake who was leading her team, taking the snipers’ position.

“Yes, Boss B. Our men are in position, we have eyes surrounding the target’s location, but we cannot enough to identify the people inside the room,” Blake answered firmly.

The sniper team could only see that there were people within what Jack had said according to the thermal vision binoculars that they had on their sniper guns. However, this vision does not assure the person they expect to be in a spot is precisely the people they are looking through the lenses.

“Jack, do you see any movements?” Brianna asked.

“Negative.”

“This is weird. Tell me the exact location of Mr. and Mrs. Michaelson,” Brianna said, frowning.

Jack told Brianna the details she had asked for. Then she started to move. Without removing her clothes or anything she was wearing, Brianna atop her bullet vest with a long pink flower-printed oversized dress, its length almost touching the ground. Hiding inside the dress were her smaller size but reliable weapons of guns, magazines, and knives. Then she pulled out a pair of braid locks wigs; one for her and another one for Lucien, and a pouch of cosmetic items from the backpack she asked Blake to prepare and leave on the car that she was to drive after changing the delivery truck before they reached the hospital. She also made Lucien wear an oversized hoodie and sweatpants.

“I’m walking with Lucien through the entrance door,” Brianna declared.

“What?!” Leandro Michaelson was startled. “Wait!”

Lucien did not want to make things difficult for Anna, so he did not say a single word and did everything she told her to do. No resistance, no complaints, not even a question. Even when she said they were walking into the building where they expected enemies to be lurking around. It was because he was utterly astonished to even recognize her and himself. They looked like chocolate brown, very dark chocolate brown people with the makeup she applied on their exposed skins and their artificial hair. Unlike Lucien’s grandfather, he was not surprised. He was even enjoying the disguise. If only it weren’t something so serious that they were facing at the moment, Lucien would have expressed his reaction differently.

But Brianna did not say anything until about ten minutes later.

“We’re in. I want everyone to be observant. Look for any suspicious individual,” Brianna clung her hands to Lucien’s arms. She spoke like her words were only for the man beside her to hear.

Lucien smiled at her, then asked.

“How do we tell they are suspicious?”

“They would be cautiously looking around,” Brianna answered.

“Why?” Lucien asked again.

“Because they are expecting us to come knowing we will walk into their trap by holding your mom and dad as hostages in a room,” Brianna answered.

The two were walking and talking casually like a middle-aged couple on their way to their physician on a scheduled appointment. But they did not take the path that would lead them straight to where Levi and Sandra were. In fact, they went the opposite.

“Anna, Luci, where are you two?” Leandro asked when no matter how many times he checked the footage of the surveillance camera, he did not see the youngsters walk in.

“We’re almost there,” Brianna answered.

“I can’t find you!” the old Michaelson groaned in frustration.

“Jack, do you have eyes on them?” Enzo asked, knowing his Master was not very happy to even speak to Jack Foster right at the moment.

“Negative. Just like you, I am trying to trace B and the young Michaelson, but I can only make wild guesses from among the people in the crowd, knowing they will be in disguise, but I have no idea what they look like right now,” Jack stated clearly.

Only Blake knew, and he was given an order never to tell anyone. Not even one of the civilian bodyguards recognized Lucien when they passed by the corridor, only to walk up to the upper floor through the fire exit. After pretending they were looking for a specific physician’s office, they walked down the floor lower than their target floor.

According to Brianna, it was a way to see if there were anything they should avoid above and below the floor where Lucien’s parents were being securely guarded. When Brianna got a good assessment on how to handle the situation, she flirtatiously pulled Lucien and kissed him when they reached the room where she supposed the Michaelsons couple was above them. And as if they were a naughty couple, Brianna and Lucien giggled as they playfully stealthily got inside the room, kissing each other.
