Chapter 180: Chapter 180

They arrived at Brianna’s house and as if Brianna was expecting unwanted guests, she made sure the garage gate was unclosed. Not widely opened, but as if it was neglected due to whoever passed through it the last was in a great hurry and rushed in.

No lights were turned on inside the whole house. Making the intruder assume they were right with whatever they might be thinking of what could be happening inside the place. But Brianna and Lucien were watching all possible entry points into the house through the surveillance camera monitors.

“They might have parked their car from a distance,” Lucien noticed.

“Which means they know this place even without us leading them here,” Brianna stated calmly.

“Who could they be? Do you have anyone in mind for particular?” Lucien asked calmly.

He was surprised himself as to how he could be composed despite the fact that they might get into raining bullets kind of situation any minute from now. It must have been because he has learned to avoid being a burden for Brianna when they are in such predicaments where their lives are being endangered.

“There are too many to mention, but I cannot point a finger at anyone,” Brianna answered as she started to check her weapons if they were loaded and ready for whatever surprises they would be presented with, in a while. “And anyone of them can always have the ability to find this place after searching without rest for a long time. They can be old or new enemies, we can’t really tell until they get trapped in our nets and get whatever we want to know from them.”

Brianna had been in the business for more than a decade. She started her training at five but her first mission was when she was only thirteen. Over the years, she was aware her enemies had increased in numbers as her missions did. Because for every monster she would takedown, a few of its foolish but faithful followers would want revenge to be served and hunt Brianna as well.

And Brianna was aware of it. Ironic but it appeared to be existing. This group after her this time can be proof of that claim. To silly of them because they could have saved their lives by walking away from her, but instead of doing so, they seemed to blindly chase her. A chase that would probably end their lives than claim victory.

“Can I make a phone call?” Lucien asked.

He could have done as he thought he should but Lucien would subconsciously ask for Brianna’s opinion when in serious circumstances like they were in right now.

“Later,” Brianna answered casually. “Let’s see first if we can identify who would walk in the yard.”

Lucien nodded. He had his eyes back on the screen. He knew that Brianna’s yard was filled with deadly traps. He had seen the same traps when Brianna suggested the same safety measure be installed in Lucien’s villa. It reduced the count of security personnel walking around the house every now and then because even if invaders come around, the alarm would blare in time enough for the security to respond.

Lucien did not want to have so many people on his property, at first it was for security reasons and he had no other options than to agree with his grandpa’s suggestions to keep Anna safe in his place as well, but when Lucien got the hang around on everything, he explored ideas on how to deal with whatever he was not really into.

And as he recalled how Brianna’s team came to her place when she still had a slight memory loss, Lucien asked Brianna about the possibilities of her security ideas being implemented in his place. To his amazement, Brianna explained to him the specs of every trap she had in her mind in accordance with his land and site vulnerability. She explained that the traps she installed in her yard may not be suitable for his yard. She designed other kinds only for Lucien’s yard and only Lucien, Brianna, Jack, Leandro, and Enzo knew about it. It was to avoid being leaked to anyone whatever security measure they had in the young Michaelson’s villa.

The setting of Brianna’s security camera is not like any usual and ordinary camera. She can adjust the lenses and turn them into thermal, night visioned ones to have a clear view of where and what would be moving around her property.

“Here they come,” Lucien moved his face closer to the monitor, hoping by doing so, he would get a clear view in order to identify the intruders. Alas, he could not see as they were wearing black full-face covers. “Bastards!”

Lucien was frustrated to realize they could still hide their faces. He totally forgot they could come up with such ideas. For intruders it would have been a necessity, so they would never neglect such things, but Lucien was only after the anticipation to know who could their enemies be. He was not prepared to be disappointed.

Brianna chuckled at the look of a letdown on his expectant face.

“Well, maybe they are not as stupid as you wished they would be,” she teased. She pressed a button from her screen pad controller. The monitor showed which spots had figures of humans moving toward the house.

“There are only four of them?” Lucien asked.

“I don’t think they would be bold enough to walk in here without knowing what to expect or how to handle their battles,” Brianna answered. No signs of fear, she was even more indifferent than how she would usually be. Maybe because she was still a bit tipsy from all that whiskey she chugged at the Peters couple’s grave.

Brianna was feeling even more carefree and devil-may-care.

“Do you want me to end the game sooner or later?” she asked Lucien mischievously.

Lucien was amused at her sudden question. He had no doubt Anna was capable to do as she said, whatever of the two may she picked to be her choice. Instead of answering, he played along.

“May I know what is in it for me if I pick one for you?” Lucien asked with equal mischief.

“If we get to wrap this up within half an hour, I will let you do whatever you want tonight,” Brianna answered suggestively.

“I might ask extreme requests, are you up for it?” Lucien boldly answered. He had something in particular up in his sleeves.

“Does extreme includes fucking my brains out all night?” She asked in the same tone she used earlier but Lucien’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

“Anna?!” he yelled in shock, astonishment, and reprimanding.

Lucien had never heard Brianna speak the way she just did. But the way she delivered her words was not disgusting, revolting, or distasteful, honestly speaking it was the opposite around.

“What? Don’t you want to fu… mmmm... Mmm…?” Brianna’s words were muffled in Lucien’s punitive kisses as he sealed her mouth with his.

“Don’t go saying such words…?” Lucien whispered as he held Brianna by the sides of her face. Lucien let Brianna grasp some air to fill her lungs and breath. His lips were only an inch apart from her and on guard to seal her lips again if she ever say anything that would provoke him.

Adding to his disbelief, Anna was unfazed and her antics weren’t done yet, or so it seemed. Because what she said next, drove Lucien wild.

“What if I want you to fu….mmmm…. Mmmm…?” Brianna’s words were cut halfway again. She was chuckling as Lucien devoured her lips with another and more punitive kiss. “Fuck my brains out all night?” Brianna continued her words when Lucien let her lips get another breath of air.

Lucien clenched his jaw. His hands holding Brianna’s nape moved to pull her body closer to his and embraced her tight as he tried to calm his senses. Lucien took deep breaths, eyes tightly shut and numbing his ears and brain not to process the meaning of her words normally.

Brianna tapped on Lucien’s arms telling him to loosen his hug on her. Then she turned around, her back to Lucien, facing the screen monitors.

“So, Michaelson,” Brianna was not in the mood to stop her wild antics. “What is it gonna be? Sooner or later?”
