After wearing a white top with a shrug and a blue jeans Khushi came out of her room to cook the dinner as it's already seven o'clock and she was late for the dinner preparations.
But to her surprise, Abeer was already in the kitchen cooking something.
"Hey! What are you doing here? You should take rest. I will do it myself. You don't need to stress yourself for this.", Khushi said while Abeer was busy cutting the vegetables.
"I am not stressing out myself by doing this. So please, relax. It is just that I get bored all day doing nothing except rest so now I wamt want to cook so that I can feel better by indulging myself in some activities. It is my humble request to you. Please Khushi! ", Abeer requested with his pleading eyes.
And leaving no chance for Khushi to disagree on that term. So she gave her permission and let him did whatever he wanted.
" Call me if you need something. I'm in the living room doing my office work. So don't hesitate if you need help. Is that clear to you?", Khushi asked to Abeer.
"Yeah.. I will call you. Don't worry. You go and complete your work.", Abeer replied smilingly.
"Umm.. I think I should start hunting for new job as I could not sit all alone here, waiting for the day to become unemployed and cry over my fate. I have to do something before my new boss will come and fired me from my work.", Khushi was thinking in her mind while searching for some job notifications in her mobile phone.
While Abeer was enjoying his time in the kitchen cooking for both of them.
" Thank god that nobody is watching me doing this as no one would believe on the fact that the hands which were used to hold guns are actually holding this knife to cut vegetables and the man whose name was enough to quiver someone in fear is actually busy cooking for someone. And that someone is so busy in her life that she did not thought to atleast stand here and give me her company instead of using her mobile and enjoying herself alone. ", Abeer complained while cutting the vegetables alone.
He thought that Khushi left him all alone instead of accompanying him and was busy enjoying herself by chatting and scrolling through her mobile but the reality was a bit different from what he thought. She was using this time to search for another job as every second of her life is really important right now because all she needs right now is Money for Abeer's treatment and for repaying her debt so she can't sit idle at home waiting for some miracle to happened and save her from this situation.
Khushi was busy reading something when her mobile rang up and it was the call from her boss. She immediately picked it up without waiting to get some good news.
But it seems luck was not in her favour today.
"Hello Khushi.. It's me. YOUR BOSS.", Mr. Matthew said.
"Yes Boss. Good evening. All Good?", Khushi asked hesitantly.
"Well I guess I have a good news and a bad news for you all.", Her boss said in his bossy tone.
"I have this feeling when I saw your name flashing on my screen because from the beginning you played the role of devil in your employees life. Everytime you tortured us with your so called tantrums. Even if we did our work sincerely you always pointed out some mistake in that and never leave a single chance to humiliate us in front of everyone. Infact, you treat us like trash not humans. No one could ever understand our pain of working under you. I guess it's far better to live in hell than tolerating your tortures. ", Khushi blurted out in her anger mode.
Khushi did not expect that she would burst out her feelings like that but now when she knew that her boss is not going to be her boss in future she found the perfect moment to take revenge of her every humiliation she faced along with her colleagues.
"Hello Khushi are you there? Why are you not saying anything? Why you became so silent all of a sudden?", Her boss asked in confusion when Khushi went silent and did not reply anything in response.
"Ahh.. Yes sir.. I'm listening.. Please tell me what's it?", Khushi replied.
"That means I did not say anything. I was just day dreaming about it. I was dreaming that I led out my frustration on him by saying all those things that were buried deep inside my heart from so long just because I did not want to lose this job but now as this job will no longer exist for us in future I can say anything so that my heart and my mind will get justice of all the insults made by him.", Khushi thought to herself.
" So the bad news is that, that the new owner want some renovation of the place so you guys won't have to come from tomorrow until further notice. So you all have time to enjoy yourselves for few days until the place get renovated. ", The boss replied.
"Oh okay sir. And what about the good news?", Khushi asked.
"That you all will be get paid for these days and your salary won't get cut even after you all won't come to the work.
" Ahh that's great sir. Thank you so much for your kindness.", Khushi replied.
" Thank God I didn't blurt out anything stupid that time. Otherwise we will not be able to get the salary from this wicked man.", Khushi thought in her mind.
" No need to thanks me here, actually it's the order from the new owner and I'm only following that.", The boss told and cut the call without letting Khushi speak anything else.
" Ahh then I was right he is a devil for sure and I should speak out those things so that I would atleast feel good for myself. ", Khushi regretted letting out a sigh.
" Ouchhh!!! Ahhh!!!!", Abeer's screaming voice came from the kitchen making khushi break her chain of thoughts and making her panicked and she ran towards the kitchen hurriedly.
