Abeer remained there for an half hour while introducing himself to the other neighbours and talking to them for a while after Scarlett left the place. Deep down he was really not interested in that meeting with his neighbours but he did this for Khushi as she was not there to attend this so he came as a substitute for her as she was part of that society and it was necessary for them to attend this as a member.
When everyone else was busy in themselves Abeer took his leave to reach his home before Khushi as he would get the time to call Luca.
As soon as Abeer reached his home he immediately dialled Lucas's number from his mobile which was gifted to him by Scarlett.
Luca picked up the call after two ringing as it was from an unknown number.
"Hello.. Who is this?", Luca asked instantly, after picking up the call.
"Your Boss, idiot.", Abeer replied sitting on the couch relaxing his body.
"Boss... You.. You.. Are you alive boss?", Luca asked in a stammering voice.
"Yes. Now stop stammering and listen to me carefully otherwise I won't take a minute to stop you from breathing.", Abeer told in his deadly voice making Luca flinched at his place in fear.
"Yes Boss.", Luca replied fear audible in his tone.
"The place where I am staying and I am still alive after that accident is a secret to everyone and that should remain a secret until the ceremony would take place so better keep your fucking mouth shut till that time.", Abeer roared in his deep voice.
"Ye.. Yess.. Yes boss.", Luca stammered in his shaking voice.
"One thing more listen carefully the accident that took place with me I want every little detail related to it. Don't miss anything and as soon as you get any information message me on this number and remember don't dare to call me on this number because the person with whom I am staying, doesn't know anything about me.",Abeer informed Luca.
" Oh my God. You mean the person did not know that he or she is living with a "Mafia King".", Luca said with surprise.
" Yeah, so don't you dare to call me. I will call you back as soon as I become free or whenever I would be all alone. Is that clear to you? ", Abeer asked in his deep voice.
" Yes boss. I got it. And don't worry I will investigate this case sincerely and would give my best to come up with the result as fast as I can. ", Luca assured to Abeer.
With that Abeer cut the call and put the phone on silent mode and hide it under the small bookshelf.
When he was busy hiding the mobile someone unlocked the door which made Abeer flinched at his place in fear as someone caught a thief from doing his crime. But soon he realised the owner of the sound and it was none other than Khushi.
Khushi came inside, lost in her own world of thoughts that she did not notice Abeer's presence there which did not go unnotice by Abeer. He realised that Khushi was tensed due to some reasons which was unknown to him. He quickly hide the mobile and came in front of Khushi thinking that she would notice his presence there.
But Khushi was so engrossed in her own chain of thoughts which made her unaware of Abeer standing right in front of her.
Khushi's head collided with Abeer's chest and then only she realised she reached her home and get obstructed in her way by something hard.
She looked up and her brown eyes met with Abeer's shining eyes having some questions for her.
"Umm.. Umm.. I am sorry.. I did not realise when you came in front of me.", Khushi apologised to Abeer.
"It's okay.. But the question is why your mind is wandering somewhere else when you are present here?", Abeer asked back.
"Umm... Nothing.. I was just tired.", Khushi replied.
Her answer did not satisfy Abeer's curiosity as he knew there was something that was bothering her but she was not ready to share that thing with him.
"Maybe because She does not trust me, as I don't deserve to be trusted by someone.", Abeer thought to himself in his mind.
And somewhere this feeling hurts him that she does not feel that much comfortable with him that she could share her problems with him.
" Umm.. I will be back in few minutes after freshen up. ", Khushi excused herself closing her door of bedroom.
"I can't become selfish. I can't share my worry with him as he was already injured and if I told him that my job was in danger then he would have thought himself as a burden to me. I can't let him make worry just because of me. I know I can trust him with my worries. But it's just that I can't see him stressed out about money and everything. As Doctor has also advised to let him stay happy without any stress. So it is necessary to fake my expression in front of him otherwise he would read my mind and himself find answers of his questions. ", Khushi said to herself after closing her bedroom door.
Little did they know that both had clearly misunderstood the situations. It's not like Khushi did not trust Abeer, all she wanted is to make him stress free so that he won't get ill. But Abeer misunderstood her intentions and thought that she did not trust him whereas Khushi was unaware that she was living with a Mafia whose one voice is enough to buy anything he wants for him. If she would have shared her problem then it would have get solved easily by Abeer without letting her know. They both were worried but did not tell the correct reasons to each other. That's why it is better to clear any misunderstanding before it takes the form of a conflict. It's better to share what's bothering you inside with someone who would understand you and your emotions.
