Chapter 117: Chapter 117
After eating the delicious dishes Uncle Aiden made for Abeer, he did not have any space left in his tummy to eat the sweet dishes so he took his leave from there to join his mother's company who was waiting for her son in his room for so long.
The moment Abeer opened the door of his room he was surprised to see Khushi lying on his bed waiting for him.
"So finally you got the time to come back to me?"Khushi questioned, arching her eyebrows and faking anger.
"Omg! Am I dreaming or are you here for real? I can't belive on my eyes what they are watching." Abeer said, excitedly moving towards her, taking his baby steps.
"Arnan, I am really upset with you. I mean how could you do this to me? You came here without informing me. You know I was so worried and lost my senses when I came to know that you didn't reach home. That moment how I handled myself only I knew that." Khushi complained, pouting her lips.
" I am so sorry Khushi. I had no intention of making you sad behind my sudden departure but you know the time was wrong that time so I could not come to you to bid goodbye to the person I adored the most in my life after my mother.", Abeer confessed hesitantly.
" No way. I am not talking to you now. You made me cry so much for you. And disappeared from my life in just a few seconds like that you were never a part of it before.",Khushi sighed, turning her head away from him.
" I want to apologize for that mistake, my love. Can I? ", Abeer asked, waiting for her permission.
Khushi turned herself towards him. Her eyes popped out at the endearment Abeer just used for her the moment before.
"What? What did you call me?"Khushi questioned, not believing her ears and wanted it to confirm from him.
"I want to apologize for my mistake. Can I?", Abeer repeated his sentence but this time not using the endearment, purposely, to tease her in this way.
"After my mistake what did you say?", Khushi inquired again, narrowing her eyebrows.
"Can I?", Abeer repeated himself, smirking.
"Huhh! I don't want to talk to you now. Get out.", Khushi said, again turning her face away from him in anger.
"Aww my love looks so tempting, complaining her fake anger at me. Now please can I kiss your tempting lips as they were catching my attention every now and then the moment I entered the room.", Abeer asked out of nowhere, making Khushi numb at her place in astonishment.
" Can I love? ", Abeer asked back again, stressing the last word specially to make it audible to her, finally clearing her previous confusion.
" You? ", The moment she turned around to face him was shocked to witness the proximity between them.
Khushi's heart raced as she turned around to face Abeer, her eyes meeting him in a moment charged with anticipation.
The air seemed to crackle with an electric tension, a silent understanding passing between them as their gazes locked.
As if drawn by an invisible force, Abeer closed the distance between them, his hand gently cupping Khushi's cheek.
With a mixture of tenderness and boldness, he leaned in, his lips meeting hers in a kiss that was as surprising as it was exhilarating.
Time seemed to slow, and Khushi's initial surprise was quickly replaced by a rush of emotions that tumbled through her like a tempestuous wave.
The sensation of Abeer's lips against hers sent shockwaves of feeling coursing through Khushi.
Her heart raced, and a shiver of excitement danced down her spine.
The taste of the moment was bittersweet and heady, a mixture of vulnerability and longing that she hadn't anticipated.
Her mind whirled with a flurry of thoughts, her surprise intertwining with curiosity and a growing desire.
A part of Khushi's consciousness was acutely aware of the world outside that room, of the reality that existed beyond that kiss.
But in that suspended moment, it was as if the universe had narrowed down to the connection between their lips.
A mix of astonishment and yearning battled within her, the unpredictability of the situation adding to the intensity of their encounter.
As the kiss gradually ended, Abeer's eyes held Khushi's in a gaze that felt both profound and uncertain.
The silence that followed seemed to speak volumes, their unspoken emotions echoing in the space between them.
Khushi's initial shock began to morph into a swirl of emotions, a complex tapestry woven with the threads of surprise, excitement, and a newfound intimacy.
The room held a sense of quiet afterglow, the atmosphere transformed by a single kiss that had the power to redefine their connection.
Khushi's lips tingle, and her heart continues to race, the imprint of Abeer's touch lingering like an indelible mark. In that stolen moment of surprise and shock, they had crossed a threshold, their paths forever altered by a kiss that had dared to bridge the gap between their hearts.
Khushi hid her blushing face inside Abeer's chest and could hear his pounding heartbeats clearly.
The feelings of both of them were mutual as she too could not control her racing heartbeats.
Abeer hugged him more tightly this time. It seems like he did not want to take any risk of losing her from his life this time, tightly embracing her in his arms like that forever in his life.
Khushi was feeling the warmth and the safest place to hide herself securely there, till her last breath of her life.
"I want to lock you here in my arms forever just like that, Khushi. I want to protect you from all the devil's eyes, to make sure you feel safe and sound here. I promise you my love to cherish every moment of your life with happiness. There would be no place for sadness in your life from now onwards."Abeer promised her, embracing securely and tightly in his arms like there will be no tomorrow.
