Chapter 116: Chapter 116

Abeer entered his pent house which was closed for so many days but he was surprised to see that there was no hint of dust there. Everything was neat and clean just like he preferred. Everything was at its own place as he liked.

"Wow! I am really surprised at witnessing the cleanliness and tidiness of my house. I thought after my departure no one will take care of it.", Abeer talked to himself, roaming his eyes at every corner of his house.

"How could I let this place dirty master? After all it's your belonging. You have so many memories created here.", An old voice said from behind grabbing Abeer's attention towards him.

Tears welled up in his eyes and he ran towards him to embrace him tightly and stood there in that position hugging the man for so long.

" Don't cry, my son. I knew that one day you will come back to the palace which belongs to you, only you.", Mr. Aiden said.

"You did not forget me, Uncle. You were with me when I was so small that I don't remember anything from that age. But you keep loving and pampering me from that time till now. You didn't break your promise." Abeer said while hugging him.

"How could I, my son? Your mother before her death gave your responsibility to me and I promised her that in my presence you will never feel alone after all your mother was like a daughter to me. How could a father break his promise which he made to his daughter?",Aiden questioned, hugging him back with the same warmth and affection.

Mr. Aiden is an old man in his early sixties, white hair and white beard who loves to spend time in nature and with Abeer who was like a grandson for him.

" Uncle, I really don't know what I would have done without you." Abeer confessed, breaking the hug and looking deep into his eyes.

"Don't worry my child, I will be there for you no matter how worse the situation will be. Now go and freshen up yourself and get ready to eat your favorite dishes.", Aiden suggested smilingly.

"Oh! Wow. How do you know I am coming back? That you made my favorite dishes." Abeer questioned, surprisingly.

"Liam called me before he went there to take you. I was so happy to hear the news that I started preparing all your favorite dishes early in the morning. So that I will feed you with my own hands just like I used to did when you were a child.", Aiden informed, smirking.

" Hehe. Thank you so much Uncle. I will get ready in fifteen minutes because I am dying to taste the food made by you. ", Abeer chirped happily and walked towards his room in a hurry.

Abeer opened the door of his room. And switched on the lights to remove the darkness of the room.

The moment he switched on the lights, the whole room lit up with decorated bulbs consuming the darkness and spreading lightness all around.

The walls of his room were filled with photo frames of his mother and his childhood. Abeer went towards that section and his eyes welled up seeing his mother's pictures.

"Mom, I missed you so much. After my busy hectic schedule when I come home at night, I always spend my time with you. Talk about how my day went and about my stress, fear, worries and everything to you. My day never gets completed without you.

And see, I went away without informing you about my whereabouts. You must be stressed for me. But don't worry your son is back. I have so many things to tell you, Mom. I don't really know where to start now. I will tell you everything soon but right now, Uncle Aiden is waiting for me at the dinner table so I have to go right now. But I promise, I will be back in a few minutes, don't go anywhere, okay? ", Abeer questioned, looking at his mother's photo frame.

" Arnan, dinner is ready. Come fast. Otherwise I have to reheat them again.",Khushi shouted from the kitchen.

But when she got no answer in response she realized the reality that she was all alone there. Arnan had left her without bidding a goodbye.

"Oh! My God. Why is it so difficult for me to remember that now he has gone from my life. And don't forget, Khushi, you were living your life alone before his entry in my life and I was very well aware that one day he will have to leave me. After all, who am I to him? Just a stranger. ", Khushi stated more like asked herself.

" I don't know what he is doing right now. But I am sure he might be enjoying his quality time with his family and friends. As he got freedom from this cage where financially I couldn't help him to meet his daily needs.", Khushi more likely convinced herself the reasons for his early departure from her life.

" It's well and good for me to accept the bitter reality now that he has finally gone from my life and if I keep thinking about him all day and night then it will not be good for me so, Miss. Khushi from tomorrow onwards, you will get back to your job and keep yourself busy as much as you can so that my mind doesn't get the time to think about him anyhow. "Khushi assured herself and a lone tear escaped from her eyes, seeing the empty chair beside her where Arnan used to sit and eat with her regularly.

" Why God? Why did you always take away the person from my life who cared for me genuinely? First my mom, then my dad who after his marriage stopped loving me and now Arnan under whose presence I feel cared and safe.", Khushi complained looking towards the ceiling, trying to find answers to her unanswerable questions.
