When I found those papers, I made a quick note in my mind to bring back everything Khushi mortgaged for me but without letting her know.

I kept those papers in place where they were earlier and started searching for her mobile phone.

I really never knew the importance of mobile phones till today. As I am a person, who used to throw away his phone, immediately even when there was a simple scratch on it.

' Just see my pitiful condition today' , I was acting as a thief, who was here to steal Khushi's mobile phone.

That's why there is a saying that when we lose something, then only we realize its importance in our life. Just like I know today, about my mobile importance.

'Yippee'!Finally I got it. Just when I was going to dial Luca's number thanking God that I just memorized his number in my mind as in case of any emergency, I could contact him, even without my mobile phone.

" What have you been searching for Mr. Stranger?", Khushi asked out of nowhere, making me surprised at my place, raising her eyebrow.

And it took me some time to come out from that shock that she caught me red handed.

"Please! God save me this time.", I thought in my mind before replying to Khushi.

"Actually I was busy searching for my medicines! I don't know where they are! I can't find them.", I replied after thinking for a few minutes.

She kept staring at me which made me clear that she was not satisfied with my answer.

I kept thinking what if she starts to ask other questions, because I was feeling very bad and guilty to hide the truth from her and keep lying whenever she asks any questions related to my life.

' But Thanks a ton! to God that she did not inquire further, after thinking for some time.'

"And somewhere in my heart, I knew it was a red signal for me. I have to be more alert now.", I thought in my mind.

When she started leaving from there, I held her wrist, immediately.

Even I was surprised seeing my action, but the truth is now I can't let her go without clearing her doubts, from here and also I can't let her go from my life too.

She turned her head to face me, staring at me for a while. She raised her eyebrows in confusion like she wanted to ask me the reason, " Why was I holding her hand like this?"

"Could you please do me a favor, Khushi?", I asked, staring at her dark brown eyes.

"Ummm... Well it depends on the situation for what you are asking" , She replied hesitantly.

"I want to cook for you" , the moment I said that, her eyes popped out in shock.

"What... I mean.. Why do you wanna cook?", Doctor has advised you to take proper rest, She replied disagreeing with my request.

"It's just I am feeling very bored, I have nothing to do the whole day.", I replied to end the argument.

' You never let me do anything except to rest all the time, as prescribed by the doctors.'

"But the doctor also advised me to do some exercises. And most importantly to go for a walk, to breathe in fresh air, as it is important for my health too.", I argued so She did not have anything in reply to argue back to me.

And my planned work. This time She agreed with my points. But the next thing she did, surprised me the most.

" Mr. Stranger, your medicines are on the table where I kept them in the morning. Even I told you about them. So let me know, the real truth about what you are searching for in my purse?"She asked, crossing her hands on her chest and raising her eyebrows as she caught me red handed about my lie.

'Okay... I will tell you the truth.. I was searching for your mobile phone.'

" My.. My mobile phone, She asked confusingly. " But why? as far as I remember you don't remember anything related to your past then to whom you are going to call?

" My Doctor " , I replied confidently.

"Doc... Doctor... Are you alright?... DO you feel something wrong related to your health?", She asked in a concerned tone.

"Yes... Yes... I AM FINE. Actually I wanna ask them about my memory loss. When will it come back? I am feeling really helpless.", I replied confidently so she did not catch my lie this time.

"Oh! I am so sorry for that. I just forgot about your condition and started doubting your intentions.", She replied not facing me this time.

' Anyone can easily see how guilty she was feeling for doubting me', but even If I wanted to tell her the whole truth, I can't.

" Kidnapping, Murder, telling lies, etc are involved in my day to day activities. But for the first time in my life, I found it really hard, in front of Khushi. Maybe because I know how pure a soul she is! And I knew I was doing wrong with her after what she has done for me, for saving my life and for owing my expenses.", I thought in my mind.

" Hey! MR. STRANGER What are you thinking now for so long? ", She asked, making me break my chain of thoughts.

'Umm.. Nothing... You go and wait for me. I will be back in a few minutes with dinner ready.'

" Haha! Like you will say and I am going to follow your orders blindly. " She replied.

Her reply made me confused. I raised my eyebrows in a very confusing manner as I wanted to ask her, "What will you do if you are not going to follow my orders?

"I am going to help you in cooking." She replied out of nowhere as She very well understood what was going on in my mind.

' No... No.. It's perfectly fine. I don't need your help.'

"Who is asking you?", She replied bluntly. I am just telling you about my decision, you know how stubborn I am!. So no more argument on this and now follow me like a good child... Oops! I MEAN like a good boy." She replied, smiling sheepishly.

" I know there is no point in arguing with her. ", I thought in my mind so I just nodded and followed her like a love sick puppy.

'Now readers do not try to laugh at that last part I told to you... Yes.. love sick puppy. Because there is something in her, which is driving me crazy day by day, as much as I am knowing her in person.'
