Chapter 108: Chapter 108

As the sun begins its descent towards the horizon, the evening sky transforms into a breathtaking canvas of colors.

Shades of warm orange, soft pink, and hues of purple spread across the sky, creating a stunning sunset that captivates anyone who gazes upon it.

The fading light casts long shadows and creates a sense of tranquility.

The air carries a gentle breeze, caressing the skin with a refreshing coolness.

It carries the faint scent of blossoms from nearby gardens and the earthy aroma of damp soil, hinting at a recent shower that may have passed through.

In the distance, the sounds of the day start to mellow. The cheerful chirping of birds subsides as they find their nests for the night, replaced by the occasional hoot of an owl or the distant call of crickets.

The quiet ambiance creates a peaceful and calming atmosphere.

As the evening progresses, soft twinkling stars gradually appear in the darkening sky.

They twinkle like diamonds, and the sight is awe-inspiring, especially in areas far from the bright city lights, where the night sky can truly display its wonders.

Soft streetlights and gentle glows from windows illuminate the surroundings, casting a warm and welcoming glow on the world below.

The cityscape or landscape takes on a magical quality as the evening unfolds.

Overall, the evening scene exudes a sense of tranquility, offering an opportunity to unwind, reflect, and appreciate the beauty of nature and human connections.

It's a time when the world seems to slow down, allowing us to savor the moment and find peace amidst the busy hustle and bustle of the day.

When the world outside was busy enjoying the view, Stella's world crumbled inside.

In the dimly lit room, darkness wrapped around like a thick, heavy shroud, engulfing everything in its path.

The air was heavy with silence, broken only by the faint sound of stifled sobs and the gentle echo of tear drops hitting the floor.

In the far corner of the room, a figure huddled, barely discernible in the shadows.

It was Stella, her silhouette outlined by the faint outline of the moonlight seeping in through a partially covered window.

She sat there, her body curled up, holding her legs close to her chest as if trying to shield herself from the world.

Her tear-streaked face, once radiant and full of life, now bore the unmistakable weight of sorrow and pain.

The glistening trails of tears trickled down her cheeks, creating a stark contrast against the paleness of her skin.

Her eyes were red and swollen, revealing the depth of her emotional turmoil.

As she clutched her legs tightly, her knuckles turned white with the force of her grip, as if she sought comfort and strength from within herself.

But the pain was too immense, and it seemed no amount of self-soothing could quell the storm raging inside her.

The room itself seemed to mirror Stella's emotional state - an atmosphere of melancholy and despair.

The walls, adorned with a few faded photographs and pieces of art, only served to accentuate the emptiness of her heart.

Outside, the world continued its relentless march, oblivious to the struggles within those four walls.

But for Stella, time had come to a standstill, trapped in the clutches of her grief and sadness.

In the stillness of that dark room, a poignant sense of vulnerability and loneliness permeated the air.

The weight of unspoken pain hung heavily, like a heavy cloud threatening to burst with each passing moment. Stella's tears continued to flow, each one a silent plea for solace, for an end to the anguish that had taken root deep within her soul.

"I ruined everything. I destroyed my life, my love and my happiness with my own hand. Why God? Why did you do this with me? What was my fault?", Stella stuttered, crying badly, her breathing became heavy with every words that came out of her mouth.

"I wanted to spend rest of my life with you but it seems like fate has decided something else for us, Damian. I am sorry. I am so sorry for breaking your trust. I am really very sorry for breaking your heart into pieces. I guess some dreams never come true. I guess mine was that one. After witnessing everything with your eyes, will you ever be able to forgive me, Damian? ", Stella questioned, tears flowing continously from her red swollen eyes.

"Let me reach home once. I am going to scold you very badly, Arnan. How dare he forgot to call me after reaching home? Even I reminded him strictly before leaving that please do once inform me at my office phone number when you will reach home safely. I was waiting for his call all day but nothing happened. I was so lost whole day that I messed up things at my work and apologised to them for this, mentioning I will be more attentive towards my duty, from next time onwards.",Khushi mumbled slowly while walking on the street, on her way to go home.

People who were passing by her, were staring her once at a time as they thought with whom she was talking continously as there was no one beside her.

But no one knows that she was talking to herself.

She was busy questioning and then answering herself on her own. She had really lost control on herself as her blood was boiling in anger.

"I will make sure to give him punishment so that he won't dare to repeat the same mistake again and again. Thank God my new boss was very friendly to me so she understood my problem and did not fired me from my work as I was absent on the very first day. But Arnan, when did he become so busy that he forgot to informed me about his whereabouts. I am not going to forgive you so easily for your mistake, Mr. Arnan.",Khushi uttered.

Khushi's face contorted with frustration as she mumbled in anger. Her brows furrowed, forming deep lines on her forehead, and her eyes flashed with irritation.

She clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms.

Her lips moved rapidly, though her words were barely audible, as if she was trying to contain the intensity of her emotions.

Though her words were incomprehensible, the tone of her mumbling conveyed the depth of her discontent.

It was a mixture of frustration, disappointment, and perhaps a touch of sadness.

Whatever had ignited this fire of anger within her seemed to have struck a nerve, and she struggled to find the right way to express it.

But little did she know that there was noone going to welcome her at home.
