Chapter 107: Chapter 107
Abeer was busy staring the retreating figure of Khushi until she got disappeared in the crowd.
"I promise you Khushi, I will tell you about my real identity today, no matter what will be the consequences after that. No matter how harsh it would become to face me. But it will be better than to feel suffocated every day, hiding the truth from you.", Abeer mumbled talking to himself.
Abeer's heart pounded in his chest as he stood frozen on the busy street.
The noise of the bustling city faded into the background as he saw his enemies approaching, guns raised and determined looks in their eyes.
Panic surged through him, and he quickly looked around for a place to hide. Without hesitation, he dashed towards the nearest building, hoping to find cover.
Bullets began whizzing through the air, striking the ground and nearby structures, sending debris flying.
Abeer ducked behind a car, trying to shield himself from the onslaught of gunfire. Fear and desperation gripped him, and he knew he had to find a way out of this life-threatening situation.
Just as he thought the situation was hopeless, a familiar voice called out his name.
"Abeer! Boss Get over here!" It was Liam, his bodyguard, also his loyal friend and confidant.
Liam, with his unwavering courage, had come to Abeer's rescue at just the right moment.
Without a second thought, Abeer darted towards Liam, who had positioned himself behind a solid concrete pillar.
Bullets ricocheted off the pillar as the enemies continued their relentless assault.
Liam's eyes were focused and determined, his presence providing Abeer with a sense of security he had never experienced before.
"Liam, we need to get out of here!" Abeer shouted over the chaos.
"I've got your back," Liam replied, his voice steady and reassuring. "Stay low, and follow me."
Together, they moved in a synchronized dance, strategically dodging bullets and making their way towards a nearby alleyway.
With every step they took, Liam shielded Abeer, returning fire when possible to keep their enemies at bay.
In the narrow alley, they found temporary respite.
Panting and with adrenaline still pumping through their veins, they took a moment to catch their breath.
"We can't stay here for long," Liam said, scanning their surroundings. "They'll be after us."
Abeer nodded, his gratitude towards Liam unspoken but deeply felt. "Where do we go from here?"
"There's a safe house not far from here," Liam replied. "We can lay low there until we figure out our next move."
With Liam in the lead, they continued their perilous journey through backstreets and hidden paths, always one step ahead of their pursuers.
Despite the danger, Abeer felt a sense of hope knowing that Liam was by his side.
Finally reaching the safe house, they secured the location and took a moment to rest.
Abeer looked at Liam, his friend's face etched with determination and loyalty.
"Thank you," Abeer said, his voice filled with emotion.
Liam smiled. "That's what friends are for, Abeer Boss. We'll get through this together."
And they did. Over time, with Liam's support and protection, Abeer managed to navigate the dangerous situation he found himself in.
Their bond strengthened, proving that in the face of adversity, true friendship could be a formidable shield against any storm.
"How did you get to know about me?", Abeer asked the moment he felt that now they were safe.
"Actually Boss, I was searching you, the moment I got to know about your accident. Everyone believed that you died in that accident except for few including me. I was looking for you every now and then and finally my mission got successful.
And the most important part that I found you just before the "Mafia Ceremony", so now you would easily go there and represent yourself as one of the candidates. ", Liam added with a bright smile on his face.
" But who exactly give you information about my location? ", Abeer asked confusingly.
" It's a long story Boss and we don't have time for that right now. I will tell you everything in detail later. Right now, the car is ready. Come with me.", Liam said, observing his surrounding closely.
" But what about Khushi? I haven't informed her about me yet. She must be got worried in my absence. ", Abeer halted his movement in midway thinking about that.
" Boss, What are you thinking now? Your sister, Roselet is waiting for you at home. Her condition is not good. She might get well after seeing you. So let's go without wasting any time. "Liam suggested turning towards Abeer.
" Yes, let's go. "Abeer said and started moving towards his car in hurry.
"I can't risk your life just because of me, Khushi. But that doesn't me I will not come. I will come after sorting out my problems till then please be safe and don't stress yourself thinking too much about me.", Abeer whispered looking at the sky and finally closing his car's window.
" Boss where should we go first? To meet your family or at your office? ", Liam asked once they get settled comfortably.
"To my penthouse.", Abeer said sternly.
"But Boss, your family will become more than happy after seeing you alive. I think you should go there, first.", Liam suggested.
"What if I will say that someone from my family was involved in my accident! Someone from there, planned the whole plot to kill me."Abeer said, rudely, remembering his personal assistant's words.
" What? ", What are you saying?", Liam asked being shocked.
"Yes, what you heard is pretty much true. I got to know about this before my accident as my personal assistant warned me. But I did not take it seriously after that, her words become true after my life threatening accident.", Abeer explained everything to him from the starting.
" But Boss why won't you doubt on me? Even I was closely related to you. What if I was the culprit? ", Liam asked with his shivering voice as he dared to question his Boss back.
" Because I trust you with my heart. I have already assayed you, long time ago. So the only option left were them only. ", Abeer said, shrugging his shoulder.
