Luckily Isabella didn't ask any further, just then Chris walked up to the table as he placed his phone into his pocket.

“ Why did you take so long? ” Zoey asked as she pecked him on the lip.

“ don't you have any shame? ” Chris asked.

“ You are mine, so why should I be shy? ” she said as she put her weight on him.

Chloe stared at them with hurt and anger “ guys, I'm feeling sleepy already I will take my leave now ”she picked up her bag and walked off.

" Chloe wait " Isabella was about to go after her but Jason held her back.

“ Alex I told you to stop teasing her, now look you made her angry ” Emily said with a frown.

“ I don't think that's the reason her mood changes. We joke with each other a lot, ” Alexander said.

Chris pressed his lips as he lowered his head to his food, only he knew why Chloe got angry.

Back At The Andrew's

Chloe marched into the living room furiously, “ child, what's wrong ” Maria asked.

“ It's nothing, mom, ” she said as she headed upstairs.

“ How was the dinner with your friends? ” Maria asked as she could tell something was off.

“ as usual ” she said nonchalantly.

“ Chloe, I would like to speak to you ” Maria said as she cleared her throat.

Chloe paused in her tracks and turned around with a loud sigh before walking over to the couch. “ What mom? ” she asked.

“ Child, I have started to get worried about you. Tell Mom the truth, why aren't you getting into a relationship isn't that what the girls of your age do? " She asked with a worried expression.

" Is nothing mom, I am not interested " she declared.

" Or are you interested in girls? ” Maria asked nervously.

“ Mom, what nonsense are you saying?" Chloe yelled.

“ calm down just tell mommy, I promise I won't judge ” Maria said gently.

Even though Maria said it, she was still deeply hoping that she was wrong, she couldn't bear to see her only baby get married to a woman.

“Mom, I'm already in a bad mood, you can think all you want, ” she said as she furiously ran upstairs to her room.

BACK AT GLOBEX

Alexander pushed the door of the bedroom open and Emily was playing with her cellphone, he got on top of the bed and pulled her into his arms.

" Baby, why aren't you saying anything? " He asked.

Emily scoffed loudly " don't speak to me until you apologise to Chloe " with that said she got out of the bed.

" Hey where are you going? Alex said as he watched her head to the door.

" I'm going to nap on the sofa in the living room, you can have the room to yourself," she said rudely.

He quickly got up and blocked her path " I'm sorry Millie, I will do as you say okay? I will give Chloe a call right now " he said as he picked up his cellphone on the bedside table.

He dialled Chloe's number but she didn't pick up and Emily looked at him with her hand folded to her chest. " Didn't you claim that you weren't the reason she got angry.what now? Why isn't she picking huh? " She demanded.

" I don't know what's wrong, " he said and gave her a pitiful look.

She snorted and walked out of the bedroom with her pillow.

" Fuck you Chloe" Alex muttered as he ruffled his hair frustratedly.

Back at the living room

Emily stared at the couch with a hesitant look, she had once fallen asleep on the couch and she woke up with pains and deep circles underneath her eyes.

Thinking about that morning, she shuddered. " Where is he? Won't he beg me to come sleep on the bed " she thought as she sat on the couch with her hand on her chin.

Just then Alexander came to the living room " Emily I won't let you sleep on the couch, it was my fault for getting Chloe angry so I will accept all punishment from you without complain "

Emily smirked secretly " I'm glad you know that. I hope you know what to do once it's dawn again or else say goodbye to the bedroom for good " she picked up her pillow and went back into the bedroom.

" Wherever you are I hope you are satisfied Chloe " he mumbled as he lay on the couch.

Emily stood at the corner and watched him fall asleep, she smiled and was about to turn around when she heard a " thud" she watched Alex as he rubbed his butt that had hit the ground heavily.

She couldn't help but burst into laughter " hahaha! " She laughed crazily.

" Millie you! " He said as he marched over to her and she began to run around and he kept chasing after her.

They ran around the living room in circles till they were both exhausted. " Oh my gosh, look what you cause I'm so tired " Emily said as she panted heavily.

" You little devil, you couldn't remind me that I wasn't on my king-sized bed um " he said as he pinched her cheeks.

" That serves you right, " she said as she giggled.

" Don't you think you should be punished?" He said as he pulled her closer by her waist.

She rolled her eyes at him " don't forget that you are the one receiving punishment" she pushed him away.

" I'm so sweaty, I will go take a shower" she said and Alex followed behind her.

" And where are you heading to? '' she stared at him quizzically and he stared back at her.

" To take a shower with you, " he said sheepishly.

Emily turned crimson " you pervert you better stay away " she used her palm to push his forehead and ran into the room and quickly locked the door.

" Millie, stop being so cute it's not fair " he yelled from outside the door.

" Alex you are one lucky guy " he said as he placed his hands on his chest and

grinned foolishly.

The Following morning, it was a sunday

and everywhere was all bleak and brisk. It was already the month of December and Christmas Eve was fast approaching.

Alexander turned over and he landed on the ground. " Ouch!! " He groaned as he got up.

This was the first time he had slept on the couch and indeed it was a bad experience at this point he truly understood what Jason went through anytime Bella asked him to sleep on the couch.

Just then he perceived a nice aroma that made his stomach rumble and he was sure it was coming from the kitchen. He got up and went into the bathroom to wash his face before walking over to the kitchen and surprisingly it was Emily making pancakes.

She was putting on sweatpants and a baggy crop top.

" Oh, you are up " she turned to him with a smile before averting her gaze back.

He walked over to her and hugged her from behind " what inspired you to make breakfast today " he said as he placed a light kiss on her cheek.

" Self love inspired me " she replied as she turned off the heat.

" What are you trying to imply? Do you mean my love isn't……."

" Yes, your love isn't enough for me, I want it all to myself and I know you can't give it " she said unceremoniously.

" I can't give you a list of how you make me feel, but I can say one thing for sure. You complete me without Emily there's no Alexander " he said as he wrapped his arm around her waist.

" And without Alexander there's no Emily " she said as she chuckled.

Alexander leaned closer and Emily closed her eyes, she thought she would feel his lips on hers but suddenly everything seized.

She slowly opened her eyes only to watch him sitting down on a stool while eating the pancakes.

" You rascal " she pulled him up by the ear.

Alexander laughed " I didn't know you liked to be kissed this much cutie " he said.

Emily looked away from him " just so you know, you will be sleeping on the couch for the next few days " she said nonchalantly.

Alexander suddenly lifted her up and she quickly wrapped her hand around his neck " you are irresistible when you're mad at me " he said as he fixed the locks of hair.

" Just give me a break " she rolled her eyes at him.

" How about I cook dinner for you then will you forgive me " he asked as he stared at her face.

" It's a deal, let's go grocery shopping, what do you think? " she said happily.

" Sure, " he replied.

" Your eyes shine up, when you look at me, am I that attractive, put me down quickly " Emily said.

He pinched her nose and chuckled " Oh right " he said and did as she had said.
