Chapter 56:  hey cupcake!

“ what if i am cheating on you presently ” he said while playing with her hair

“ You won't, I trust you more than I trust myself, ” she said while gazing straight into his eyes.

They ate dinner and both went to bed. The next morning they arrived at school earlier than usual.

Isabella was walking towards her class and she  received a call  from Chloe `` hey Bella let's go shopping after school today. Ask Emily if she's going to come along with us ” she said.

“ big sis chlo are you sponsoring the shopping ” Isabella asked while laughing.

“ Of course , the bills are on me. Let's meet outside the school by noon ” Chloe said.

“ alright chlo, bye ” she said and hung up.

She gave Emily a call. “ yay! I love going shopping, can't wait ” she said and they chatted for a while before hanging up.

After classes the three ladies met outside the school. They were about to get into Andrew's car when Isabella received a call from Jason “ cupcake where are you? ” he asked.

“ Oh, I'm about to go to the mall with Chloe and Emily, ” she said.

“ Where are you now? “he asked instantly.

” I'm outside the school, “ Isabella replied.

” Just wait over there for me, “ he said and hung up, giving her no chance to protest.

Isabella crossed her arm over her chest while pouting her lip like a child.” What's wrong? “ Emily and Chloe asked in unison.

” It's Jason, he said he's coming and I should wait “ she said.

Chloe smiled ” let's wait then “ she said she could tell there's something going on between these two now she had planned to interrogate Isabella when they are both alone.

Soon enough Jason walked over to them with Alexander and Chris. These three handsome men with three pretty ladies were a sight to behold outside the school.

” Hey cupcake, “ Jason said to Isabella.

” Cupcake?“ the four of them said and they burst into laughter.

Jason was unaffected but Isabella was blushing already. She bit her lip and glared at them.

” Okay guys it's time to confess what's going on between the both of you. I don't think it's just friendship anymore “ Chloe asked looking curious.

Isabella cheeks flush red; she couldn't help but bow her head shyly.

” she's my wifey now we are no longer in the friend zone “ Jason broke the news unceremoniously.

He wrapped his arms around her waist possessively. Isabella cheeks flushed even harder.

” awww our cupcake is blushing, “ Alexander said, making everyone laugh.

” Guys stop teasing me okay? “ she said, covering her face with her palm.

They laughed again. ”I think this calls for celebration. Let's all go out for some drinks, “ Chris said.

Everyone nodded in agreement just like that their plans to go to the mall were cancelled. Isabella got into Jason's car while Emily got into Alexander's car with no other choice  Chloe got into Chris' car.

Back in Chris car

Chloe was feeling extremely unsettled, her gaze remained outside the window since the ride started.

Chris suddenly took another route, Chloe sat up and looked at him with a frown on her face. ” This isn't the way, where are you going? “ she asked, finally breaking the silence.

Chris suddenly slammed on the brakes, and he turned his head to look at her ” Chloe I'm sorry “ he apologised sincerely.

” Chris, what are you talking about? Sorry for what? “ Chloe asked with a puzzled look.

” Chloe, I don't like the way we are presently. I know you feel the same way  about me, “ he said, holding her hands.

” Please let's start all over again. You are the one I desire even after all these years my love for you still remains the same. If only I had interjected to my parents' decision to get engaged to Zoey we would have been planning on getting married by now “ Chris said.

” Chris I don't think you should be saying all this. It's already too late , you are Zoey's fiance and have also moved on with my life “ Chloe said and threw her head to the other side.

Chris cupped her cheeks making her look into his eyes ” stop lying to yourself Chloe. I know you love me, that's why you couldn't look into my eyes “ said Chris.

Chloe bit her lip. how could she forget about him, he was her first love back then they were this close to starting a relationship but one morning she heard about his engagement to Zoey. At that time she felt heart broken and decided to remain single for the rest of her life even after all these years she still found out that she's still in love with him anytime he came close to her she could feel her heart racing.

” Chloe look into my eyes and say you don't love me “ he said with his hand still cupping her cheeks

Chloe stared into his deep dark bottomless eyes she felt like she could get lost in them. She just couldn't and she averted her gaze.  ” Chris, the others might suspect that there's something going on between us if you don't start driving, “ she said.

Chris suddenly captured her soft lips, almost silken and pillowy against his. They could both feel the soft tickle of their breath, his fingers carding through her hair as they both breathed each other in, he suddenly invaded her mouth with his tongue  before long her brain stopped functioning. She didn't know when she started responding to his kisses. She didn't care anymore. She just wanted to drown herself in his embrace. She wants to forget about all they have been going through, she wants to forget about all the obstacles they are going to face. She just wanted this moment to last forever. She had always yearned for his kiss and she finally got it, she had always wished for a day when it will be only both of them and it finally happened.

They kissed each other like it was their last. When they couldn't catch their breaths Chris broke the kiss. He smiled at her, ” I think I have gotten my answer, “ he said.

Chloe blushed and avoided his gaze ” she couldn't believe that she wanted to start a new relationship with Chris “ she smacked her forehead lightly.

Chris turned the car over, and they got back on the roads. Chris suddenly placed his hands on hers. She raised her to glance at him and their eyes met and they both smiled. ” Chloe, I will make everything right? Just give me some time I will tell Mom and Dad everything “ Chris said

Chloe nodded her head. She had decided to give the relationship a chance and it was all worth it. After all, she has been looking forward to this day all her life. She had waited for two years and they are finally here. She wouldn't let anyone ever separate them again.

Back in Alexander car

” Hey Millie, “ Alexander said.

Emily looked at him ” yeah “ she said.

” You haven't given me a reply, “ he said.

He confessed his feelings to Emily but she said he should give her some time to think about it.

” Look Alex, I haven't made up my mind yet. Can you give me some more time “ she said.

Alexander nodded ” you can take all the time you want “ he replied with a smile even though he was sad deep down.

He had never been in love with anyone, he just felt Emily was the soulmate he had been looking for all his life. He really liked her and he was ready to do anything for her. He felt like he was trying to push things but she wasn't making any effort.

He had planned to ask her if she likes someone else. But he didn't want to ruin the joyous atmosphere for everyone because of his personal problems.

He turned and glanced at her but she was busy taking selfies. He sighs silently and averted his gaze back on the road.

Soon enough, Alexander and Emily were the first to arrive. Alexander ushered her in like a gentleman. He looked for a nice spot and they sat down. He passed the menu to her ” let's order before the rest arrive “ he said.

Before Emily could reply Chris and Chloe came into the restaurant and they easily spotted Alexander and Emily because they were sitting not too far away.

” guys Isabella and Jason should have arrived by now right? "Chloe asked.

Chris nodded ” yeah I hope they are alright?. I think I should give them a call, “he said.

But Alexander stopped him ” hm does two ? Just forget about them, just sit, let's order, I'm starving, '' he said.

Emily looked at him with a puzzled ” aren't you supposed to be worried about your friends? “ she asked.

Alexander chuckled ” worried about people that are having fun? “ he said.

Chloe didn't understand ” what's your point? “ she asked.

” I'm sure those two are making out in the car “ he said as he flipped through the menu.

Everyone's cheeks suddenly turned red ” must you mention your thoughts out loud “ Chloe said and pulled his ear.
