Chapter 55: please don't ever leave me

“ So what does that mean? ” he asked with confusion written over his handsome face.

Mr Jackson sigh and continued “ obsessive love disorder ( OLD)  is a psychological condition that presents as an overwhelming obsessive desire to protect and possess another person ”

“ To cut the long story short Emma is suffering from OLD because of you. ” Mr Jackson said.

“ So why are you telling me all this? ” Jason said unceremoniously.

Mr Jackson panicked and quickly added “ let me finish son, during the appointment the doctor said Emma kept mentioning Isabella's name that she's going to hurt her so she could have you all to herself  ” he said.

“This is also one of the dangers of OLD. There's a chance that obsessive love could make a person more likely to emotionally or physically harm someone else and your fiancee name is the only thing she has been calling ” Mr Jackson said with a serious look.

Jason pressed his lips `` so what do you want me to do now? ” he said he didn't like the fact that Isabella was dragged into this mess.

“  The doctor prescribed some drugs but Emma refused to take them. We had to put them in her food or water without her knowledge. Her condition is getting worse each and every day. We don't know what she might do next. The doctor also said we should fly her out for further treatment but she refused because she only wants you. She has turned into a freak. She looks at your picture every second of the day and she doesn't even leave her room…. ”

Mr Jackson was cut short “ just get straight to the point ” Jason  said nonchalantly.

“ Alright son. The doctor said you should pretend to love her so we could easily convince her to fly abroad for treatment ” Mr Jackson finally said.

Jason pinched the area's  between his brows “ I can't. I'm sorry I can't do it ” he said and stood up abruptly.

Mr and Mrs Jackson also stood up and their minds were in chaos right now. Jason was their only last hope where they were going to give up on their only child.

They kept pleading for Jason to go with the plan but Jason kept refusing their advances.

“ Fine son, we can't force you to do anything against your will. But please will you see Emma before you go. Please son, that's the last thing I will ask from you ” Mr Jackson begged.

Jason was silent for a while before he finally agreed to see Emma. He was guided to Emma's room by one of the maids. He pushed the door open and behold the room was messy like an insane person was living in there. Immediately he stepped his foot into the room a flying vase nearly hit his head but he quickly dodged the attack.

“ Get out! ” Emma yelled without turning to see who it was.

Jason approached her with light footsteps. “ That scent smells familiar, Jason! ” Emma called excitedly without turning to look at him.

Jason was dumbstruck “ how did she know that he was the one? he can bet that Isabella won't be able to tell ” while he was lost in his thoughts.

Emma turned around and rushed up to hug him tight “ Jason I knew you will come back to me. Please don't ever leave me alone. I love you so much ” she mumbled with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Jason broke the hug “ Emma you have to stop your nonsense and face the fact that I belong to Isabella now. We are a thing of the past and I never loved you ” he said in a calm tone.

Emma's body trembled and she couldn't help but  scream loudly “ what do y'all see in that bitch. I hate her. I will kill you Isabella. Jason can't you see that I love you and am ready to sacrifice my life for you ” she yelled at the top of her lungs.

Jason flew into rage, he abruptly gave Emma a tight slap making her lips bleed at the corner “ how dare you say that about Isabella. She's the love of my life and there's nothing anyone can do to change it, get that into your brain ” he also yelled at her.

Emma flinched a little, she clamped her hands over  her ear as everything Jason said played back over and over again “ no! No! You can't love Isabella. You can only love me, why don't you understand you are mine ” she said and squatted on the ground while hugging her knees to her chest.

Jason turned around to leave, Emma was clearly crazy she wouldn't listen to whatever he says. Emma suddenly grabbed his leg “ Jason I'm begging you please don't leave me all alone. I will kill myself I…I don't want to leave without you ” she said while sobbing.

Jason grabbed her and pushed her away. Emma landed on her bed before she could get to the door. Jason locked her up from the outside. He could still hear her screaming his name like a maniac “ jason! Jason! Baby please come back, I'm scared ” she cried out.

He ignored her and went downstairs. Mr and Mrs Jackson could only stare at Jason; they didn't dare say a word. Jason's Icy glare swept past the stairs that he took to Emma's room and back to the old couples “ I'm taking my leave ” he said and headed out.

No one dared say a word till he disappeared from their view.

On his way back home, everything Mr Jackson said played in his head over and over again. “ What if Emma tries to hurt Isabella. Right now she's not in her right state of mind she might try to kill Isabella '' he thought inwardly.

The more he thought about this issue the more he realised how serious it is. He didn't want anyone  or anything to harm Isabella because of him.

He finally got to globex with a worried look on his face. He tried hard to conceal it with a smile. He pushed the door open and Isabella was nowhere to be seen. He suddenly panicked “ Isabella! Isabella! ” he called out as he searched the entire house. He even went forward to check under the bed and even the fridge yet she was nowhere to be seen.

He grabbed his phone and gave her a call but he could clearly hear her ringtone in the kitchen.

He rushed out of the house, he instantly pressed the button of the elevator he glanced at his watch as he was running out of patients. Immediately the elevator opened he saw Isabella who was about to come out.

He grabbed her arm and pulled her out, arriving at the apartment. He pulled her to a tight hug “ are you alright? ” he asked, burying his head on her shoulder.

Isabella was dumbfounded “ I should be the one asking you this question. What's wrong? ” she asked.

Jason cupped her cheeks “ where did you go to? ” he asked quickly.

“ Oh, I stopped by Millie's, ” she said with a smile.

Jason pulled her to the sofa “ come sit ” he said and she obediently sat down.

He wrapped his arms around her and he couldn't help but breathe in her scent to assure himself that she's fine.

“ Jason what's wrong? ” Isabella asked, she could tell that he was definitely worried.

On his way back home he decided not to tell her anything, He didn't want her to worry. He has to protect her and make sure she stays safe without her knowledge.

He smiled and squeezed her cheeks “ it's nothing I was just missing you too much. I don't know what spell you cast on me cupcake ”he said.

Isabella giggled “  it's a love spell and it's unbreakable ” she said.

“ alright back to serious discussion who made you rush out of the house this evening ” she asked with one of her eyebrows raised up.

“ er…….oh Chris yeah Chris called he had a little argument with Zoey so I went over.”

Jason lied while avoiding eye contact with her, he knew Isabella can easily see through others. He was just praying that she wouldn't notice a thing.

“ Oh, I hope everything is fine now, ” she asked.

Jason nodded “ yeah. You haven't eaten anything right? ” he asked her.

“ I ordered takeouts. Hubby, I don't know how to cook. I hope you don't mind ” Isabella said, wrapping her arm around his neck.

“ I know you don't, “ he said nonchalantly.

Isabella bowed  her head as she played with her fingers `` well….. It's not like i haven't tried before the first time i blew up the kitchen,the second time the food got burnt and the third time i successful cooked it and i asked mom to try it but she puked after eating it and she was hospitalised for a month ever since then,mom said i should avoid the kitchen.

Jason couldn't help but chuckle, he grabbed her hand and kissed it “ cupcake I don't mind cooking for you forever. You don't need to do all those things okay. You are my Royal Highness, how can I let you do chores ” he said and pulled her closer.

Isabella placed her head on his chest and everywhere suddenly became silent. “ I thought you were seeing another woman behind my back, ” Isabella said softly, breaking the silence.

Jason chuckled “ will you even let me? ” he asked.

“  i will never let you, and even if i do i believe you won't cheat on me  ” she said while gigling.
