Chapter 52: I have a jealous hubby

“ It's nothing bella. I'm fine. Come on, let's round up, ” he said.

He couldn't tell her that he loved her and he couldn't admit the fact that he couldn't sleep last night cause he was very excited that she was coming over to his house.

Isabella didn't force him to speak. Soon enough they rounded up the project and they both came downstairs for lunch.

Mrs Logan smiled sweetly at her “ come sit dear. ” she said as she dished Isabella's food herself.

Isabella felt her heart filled with warmth she couldn't remember when her mother did all this for her. The only time she spent together with her mom was when they came back to New York. Her mom had a fashion line and boutique in over 15 countries so she didn't have time to spare. “ thanks ma'am” Isabella said.

Mrs Logan knitted her brows a little “ don't call me ma'am just call me mom ” she said happily.

Liam dropped his fork, he couldn't help but shot his mother a look.

Isabella was also shocked by what she had just said. “ Isn't it mean that am her daughter in-law ” she thought inwardly

Mrs Logan quickly fixed her words “ I mean you can just call me aunty ” she said still maintaining her smile.

Isabella restored her smile as she nodded.

“ dear I made all this myself for you. When Liam said he was bringing you over I was so happy and couldn't help but make this. I hope you like the food ” she said with a look of expectation.

Isabella nodded “ it's amazing aunty ” she said genuinely.

Mrs Logan said “ So Bella , how is your mom doing? ” she asked.

“ Mom is doing great. She's in China presently ” Isabella replied.

“ to see your grandma right? ” Mrs Logan said with interest.

Isabella nodded her head. After lunch Liam showed Isabella around the mansion.

Isabella's cell phone started ringing. She brought her phone out and it was a call from Jason. She blushed as she glanced at the caller ID.

“ Excuse me, ” Isabella said and walked towards the garden.

Immediately she picked up and heard Jason's magnetic voice “ hey cupcake. Aren't you done I'm missing you ” he said.

Isabella bit her lip as her cheeks flushed and her heart started racing as if he was there “ I'm almost done I will be home soon ” she replied.

“ I will be waiting. Okay let me leave you to go back to work. ” Jason said.

“ Alright, I will hang up now, ” Isabella said.

Wait…. Are you forgetting something? “ Jason said.

” What's that? “ Isabella asked confusedly.

” Those three letter words, “ Jason said.

Isabella blushed again ” have already said it to you this morning “ she said.

” Now it's noon and you have to say you love me at least three times a day. So go on listening. “ Jason said.

Isabella cheeks were all red ” I love you “ she said in a low tone.

” huh? What did you say ? I didn't get it “ Jason pretended not to hear her.

Isabella rolled her eyes as she pursed her lip ” Jason I know you are doing this on purpose “ said Isabella.

Jason chuckled ” since you know that. Then just say it a little louder “ said Jason.

” I love you “ Isabella said with an audible voice this time.

Jason chuckled ” bye….“

Isabella cut him short ” Jason this so unfair you have to say you love me too “ she said while pouting her lip.

Jason sigh loudly ” fine, I love you more cupcake “ he said and hung up quickly.

Isabella glanced at her phone with a smile. She turned around and saw Liam standing behind her. She almost jumped up from the fright. She just hoped that Liam didn't listen to their conversation.

” oh you scared the hell out of me “ Isabella said as she placed her hand on her chest.

” I am sorry I wasn't trying to eavesdrop on your conversation but are you together with Jason now? “ he asked with a frown.

Isabella knew he had overheard her conversation with Jason so she couldn't even deny it so she simply nodded her head. ” Yeah, “ she said softly.

Liam forced a smile ” whoa that's cool. Am so sorry I really didn't plan to eavesdrop on your conversation. I noticed that you were gone for a long time so I came to check on you “  he apologised again.

When he saw her talking and smiling over the phone he was suddenly interested to know who she was talking to and at that moment he heard her say ” I love you “ he felt  like he was poured a cold bucket of ice. He felt his heart break. It was already too late, he came too late.

He continued showing her around when it was 6pm she received another call from Jason . ” Cupcake I'm outside, '' Jason said.

Isabella was shocked that her eyes popped out ” you mean outs… outside right now? “ she even stuttered.

Jason chuckled ” of course if you don't believe, come out now “ he said.

” Uhm alright “ she hung up.

She turned to look at Liam who was standing beside her ” erm I gotta go now. “ she said.

” oh okay I will drop you off. Let me go get the keys, “ Liam said about taking a step.

Isabella quickly stopped him ” no it's alright Jason is outside “ she said.

” I am so sorry I don't know what happened to my dad. I will tell him that you came by “ Liam said.

” It's alright at least I got to meet Aunty '' Isabella smiled.

” See you at school tomorrow, “ Liam said.

Liam looked at the route she had taken for a while before going back into the house. Immediately he came in Mrs Logan rushed over to him ” where is Bella? '' she asked.

” She's gone ” Liam replied sadly as he kept walking upstairs.

“ What type of a man are you? why didn't you drop her off ” Mrs Logan said.

Liam stopped in his steps and bowed his head “ there's no need for that,her fiance came to pick her up. ” he said and went upstairs without waiting for her reply.

Back outside

Isabella finally got outside the gate , she glanced around but couldn't find Jason's car. “ huh? Where's that jerk? ” she thought to herself.

Suddenly she saw a black sports car slowly come to a halt. He wined down the glass “ hello pretty ” Jason said.

Isabella couldn't help but roll her eyes “ I have a jealous hubby ” she said and looked away.

Jason smiled, “ I'm sure he's not as good looking as I am, ” he said to her.

Isabella drew nearer “ yeah you are right he's not even half as handsome as you are. Can I please get a lift from you handsome ” she said coquettishly.

“ Sure, ” Jason said and they chuckled.

Isabella walked over to the front passenger seat and got in. Jason pinned her to the seat “ I hope you don't go around sitting in another guy's car ” he said, placing his lips close to her ear.

Isabella looked at him “ what if I say yes ” she said.

Jason kissed her lightly on the lips “ I know you won't cause I will break those legs of yours ” he said bossily.

Isabella glanced at her legs; she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

“ cupcake can you please call me hubby again ” Jason pleaded with a gentle gaze.

“ no I won't ” Isabella replied quickly and she started playing games on her phone.

Jason grabbed the phone from her “ hey! You jerk. Am about to win ” Isabella said, stretching her short hand to grab her phone.

“ Am I important or is the phone more important to you ”jason said.

“ You both are important,” she said as she gazed at him innocently.

“ Fine, you can have it ” Jason passed her phone to her angrily.

Isabella smiled and she knew he was angry “I guess it's my turn to coax him. She said inwardly.

” hubby, I'm sorry “ Isabella  said while holding his hands.

Immediately Jason turned around  Isabella placed her lips on his. She was about to pull away but Jason deepened the kiss even more. They broke the kiss  after some minutes trying to catch their breaths.

” I love you hubby, “ Isabella said again.

” I love you more wifey, “ Jason replied.

Jason buckled her seat belt for her and gave her a kiss on her cheek. ”  Let's go home, I will cook dinner for you, “ said Jason.
