Chapter 30: Narcissism is an illness get it treated.

Chloe bowed her head while toying with the hem of her shirt.

“ So what are you guys doing in New York?” Jason asked.

“ I got a call from my parents last month saying they were not getting any younger. And they wanna spend much time with me ” Chris said.

“ You know I went to Switzerland because of chris. So when he said he was coming back I had to tag along with him. I can barely survive over there without him by my side ” Zoey said as she clutched Chris arm tightly.

Zoey had always had a crush on Chris. When she heard that Chris' parents were looking for a girl to get him engaged to, she pushed her parents over to Chris' house. To cut the long story short Chris is Zoey's fiance.

Isabella smiled genuinely “ congratulations to you two and am sorry I missed the engagement ” she said.

Zoey rolled her eyes and scoffed loudly “ like your presence matters at all ” she said crossing her arm over her chest.

Chris gave her a light push signalling for her to keep shut “ congratulations to you both too ” said Chris.

Zoey smiled “ I think my brother looks more good with Emma ” she said.

Jason snorted “ Did you tell Mom and Dad that you will be transferring to New York ” Jason asked his little sister.

Zoey pouted “ no I wanted to surprise everyone but you ruined it. Anyways what are you all doing at the airport ” she asked

Isabella answered this time “ I came to see my mom off ” she said.

“ oh ” Zoey replied, not feeling like talking to Isabella.

“ You better go home now or else I will call mom and Dad right now ” Jason said seriously.

Zoey inched forward and gave him a kiss on the cheek “ come on brother like seriously are you still a kid you are 20 for God's sake. Listen I will just spend one night at Chris then I will go back home tomorrow okay ” she said.

Jason wiped his cheeks feeling disgusted“ you dare speak back at me right? ” said Jason.

“ Come on Chris tell him to let me stay at your place just for today ” Zoey tugged hard on Chris shirt.

“ Jason don't worry I will take her to your parents tomorrow “ Chris assured.

Zoey smiled and pecked Chris on the lips. He had always done as she said without complaining.

” Zoey, do you have any shame left ? “ Jason asked.

” Oh brother , no one is holding you back from doing cheesy stuff with Emma or is it Isabella “ she said purposely to agitate Isabella.

” Hey Zoey, it's too early for your nonsense. “ Jason quickly stopped her from spouting nonsense.

Jason was about to turn around to leave when he noticed something amiss ” wait Zoey what am I seeing ? “ Jason said he felt like his eyes were playing tricks on him.

Everyone gazed at Zoey with a confused look. Zoey scrutinised herself from head to toe. ” What's wrong? “ she asked.

” You got a tattoo on your chest ?“ Jason said. She got a tattoo that says “ Zoey ” with a rose next to it.

” Oh this, it's been a year now. Isn't it cute ?“ she said unceremoniously with a smile

” Who said you could get a tattoo huh? I blame mom and Dad for spoiling you so much “ Jason said.

” And Chris, you allowed her to get a tattoo,“ Jason asked.

Chris spread his hands wide ” she doesn't listen to me at all “ he said.

Zoey grumbled ” brother are you really my brother why do you hate me so much. When you got a tattoo on your arm did I interfere? Moreover, everyone has a tattoo nowadays, “ she said.

” You know what, forget it. You can never be like Isabella. “ Jason said.

Isabella bowed her head guiltily. She was no saint; he didn't know that she had a tattoo at the back of her neck. Last year when she was still in California she got a tattoo of her Chinese name given to her by her grandmother done on her back.

Chloe almost laughed out loud. Isabella shot her a look. She immediately sealed her lips.

Jason placed his arm on Isabella's shoulder. ” You must be tired, “ he said to her while patting her head.

Zoey was a little annoyed that her brother had never treated her like that. He had always been strict when it came to her.

” Let's get going Chris, “ Zoey said.

” I think we should all meet and hang out tonight, “ Chris suggested.

Everyone nodded in agreement. As they all parted going their separate ways.

At Cornell University

Jason drove his car into the school. Isabella could hear some group of girls screaming crazily.

” ahhhhhhh Jason is here oh my I miss him so much “

” I can't wait to see him anymore I feel like I might get crazy “

” Jason I love you “ some even confessed their feelings.

Isabella was dumbstruck was this even a school. All these girls look crazy and infatuated.

Isabella thought that if she came out of this car things might get worse. There's no doubt that Jason is handsome but she couldn't help but feel astonished by this sight.

What if they attack her out of jealousy. She doesn't like being the centre of attention. Her mom had always warned her not to act all extravagant.

Jason noticed Isabella's expression. He knew that she has been feeling down lately and he didn't want to make it worse.

” Just park here I can manage on my own. Before I get beaten up by these crazy girls. “ Isabella quickly said.

Jason didn't argue with her; he parked the car obediently. Isabella quickly came out of his car. She walked forward acting like she didn't notice the gaze of others.

” Who is that girl ? '' someone asked. She wasn't from New York city so she wasn't familiar with isabella.

” I think that's Jason's fiance Isabella, the daughter of the Andrews “ a girl replied.

” You mean the Andrews of New York ? “ the girl asked again, staring at Isabella in disbelief.

The other girl nodded ” yes “ she said

” whoa she's so low key if you didn't tell me today i wouldn't have found out. She's so different from Zoey Harrison “ the girl said.

Suddenly Jason walked up to her. Isabella furrowed her brows ” didn't i tell you that i can manage on my own “ she said.

” Relax, no one dares to attack you, okay ? Just want to walk you to class, "Jason said.

Isabella was already tired so she let him do whatever he wanted.

Jason was the most popular guy in the school, some obsessed girls even took pictures Isabella felt like disappearing from the scene. ” Why do I feel like I'm walking the red carpet instead of going to class? “ she couldn't help but say.

Jason sighs loudly ” I am also tired of them. I mean it's not my fault that am this handsome and outstanding“

Emma walked into the class elegantly with a smile she noticed a lot of people gazing at her she didn't think too much she thought that everyone was staring at the new designer dress she was putting on.

She heard some girls talking ” look she walked into the class with a smile now that everyone knows she's finally dumped “ they said as they burst into laughter.

Emma's expression changed ” what are these bitches talking about “ she said as she walked up to Ava who was sitting at the back.

” You haven't seen the latest post in the school forum on Instagram right? “ Ava said.

” No, let me take a look “ she quickly brought out her phone, she checked and her expression froze.

She couldn't help but yell ” cutest couple ?really cutest couple my ass! “ Emma said.

The whole class burst into another round of laughter. She scrolled down on the forum and was dumbfounded with what she saw next.
