Chapter 111: I just wanted to wish you luck

CALIFORNIA, AMERICA

Isabella walked out of the airport with her mother by her side. A black tinted Bentley came to a halt and a lady came out.

" Welcome Madam " she greeted with a sweet smile. She helped them put their bags in the car trunk and they all got in and drove off.

Isabella stared outside the window, she also had lots of memories here but she had no memory about that one person who hurted her and that was all that mattered to her.

Her mother conversed with the lady that had greeted them a while ago, she never bothered to pay attention to them or care about who she was. She turned on her phone and she got lots of messages from Chloe,Emily, Alexander, Chris, Olivia and an unknown number.

She ignored all other messages thinking the unknown person might be Jason but to her surprise it was Liam again. She balled her fist tightly, he was the main cause for all her misconceptions.

" Bella how have you been?, take good care of my baby till I arrive. It's me Liam your future hubby " she read the message and she could feel the anger seething within her. She didn't know how he had quickly found out about her pregnancy but she was definitely sure of one thing: he must have an informant.

She dropped her phone angrily, she knew Jason would have gotten the news about her but he didn't try to call or send her a message.

" Are you okay? " Mrs Andrew noticed her reaction and Isabella hastily nodded as she plastered a fake smile on her face.

" She must be ma'am Isabella " the lady said as she smiled at her, she noticed her mother nodding to her question, it suddenly piqued her interest to know who the lady is.

" Mom, who is she? No offence Madam" she said to the lady.

" Oh I employed her to take care of your unborn baby but as for now she would be leaving with us till then " Mrs Andrew said.

They finally arrived at their Villa in California. She went straight upstairs to take a shower and after lunch she walked around the streets. It felt like nothing had changed even though it has been a year ever since she came to California.

She received a call from that same unknown number. She picked up immediately and without waiting for him to speak she began. " Liam for goodness sake, don't ever try and contact my number again or you will see the worst of me just because I had let the mater go doesn't mean I can't start it over again and oh don't you ever dare address the baby as yours it's only mine, mine alone " she said angrily before hanging up frustratedly, she blacklist the number instantly.

Soon the sun sets west and she went back to the house, she had her dinner on time and chatted with Emily and Chloe till she finally fell asleep. She woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and like magic her phone began to ring.

" Who's calling so late at night? '' she murmured groggily.

Without checking the caller ID she picked up " hello " and she managed to mumble sleepily.

The other end was silent for minutes `` what type of prank is this, are you aware it's the middle of the night? I will hang up now " she said and disconnected the call.

New York America

Jason stared at her number " cupcake I'm more than happy to hear your voice once again, I don't know how long I can go on without you next to me " he said as he poured himself a glass of vodka.

For the past two days he had been in globex without going out, this place reminded him of memories of Bella.

" Cupcake, I don't care if you keep the baby or not, just come back to me I can't take it any longer. Don't punish me like this " he muttered in tears.

The following morning, Isabella got up and remembered the call she had received last night. She glanced at the caller ID and her eyes widened from shock. " Jason! " She muttered. She was feeling quite happy and sad, he called.

She dropped her phone and came downstairs, she met her mother having tea, she smiled and took her seat.

" Bella are you sure you want to skip this year in school? " Mrs Andrew asked.

" Yes mom, a lot has happened in the past few months and i can't seem to concentrate and by the way I would have put to bed before the next semester ” she answered nonchalantly.

Mrs Andrew nodded " baby, you shouldn't give up everything is going to be fine, with time all this will become things of the past " she said.

" I hope so too mom, thank you for standing by my decisions " Isabella replied with a smile.

THREE YEARS LATER

California, America

Isabella got up in a happy mode, she came downstairs in a rush. " Good morning mom," she pecked Mrs Andrew on the cheek.

" Morning dear, why are you looking so happy today? " Mrs Andrew couldn't help but ask as she smiled along while drinking her tea.

" Today is our last exam, of course I'm very happy, " she smiled brightly.

Just then a small figure walked downstairs languidly, with droopy eyes " mommy! " She mumbled as she walked over while dragging her feet.

" Lollipop, why are you awake so early? " Isabella asked as she picked her up.

Lollipop could barely open her big watery grape-like eyes, she was so drowsily that her eyelid dropped " I just wanted to wish you luck, that's why I woke up early " was the only thing she said before collapsing on Isabella's chest.

Mrs Andrew and Isabella exchanged glances before bursting into laughter " Bella this kid is so stubborn like you " Mrs Andrew laughed.

The maid came downstairs and carefully took Lollipop from Isabella. " Mom, I'll leave now, before it gets late " Isabella said as she bid her mother farewell.

Paradise College

After the exams, Isabella sat down in the school's library, she sighs as she brings out her diary and a pen.

She turned over the pages and began to write. " Dear Jason, it's been three years of being apart from you,these three years have been the toughest times of my life. Nothing seems like fun without you, ever since I left New York it feels like I had left my heart behind, I couldn't smile, couldn't even perform perfectly at school my mind is always occupied with thoughts about you and what you are up to but ever since lollipop came into my life I found a reason to love, smile and be happy again, anyways all I would love to say is that I hope you stay happy with Jessica after all she's your genuine childhood sweethearts, I wish you the best and a happy ending that you deserve, thank you for coming and leaving my life. It was worth it." she shut the dairy with tears already welling up in her eyes.

" Bella, don't cry, it's been three years already, it's all in the past. you got this " she muttered as she picked up her bag, she stared at the school one last time before leaving.

Immediately she walked into the house, lollipop rushed into her embrace" mommy! I miss you alot " she said in her soft, tiny voice.

Isabella kissed her " mommy missed you too " She said as she picked her up.

" Uh huh, mommy can I have my chocolates now? " Lollipop asked cutely.

" I gave you chocolates last night, you won't have chocolates till next week or else your teeth will get ruined " Isabella pulled her small nose.

Lollipop shook her head " mommy I think you have begun to age, you didn't give me any chocolates " she pouted her lip.

" Lollipop you tell lies now don't you? " Isabella stared at her suspiciously and just then Mrs Andrew walked up to them with a complicated expression.

" What's wrong mom, " Isabella got up as she asked from her mother's face, she could tell something terrible had happened.

" It's Maya… she will be undergoing her surgery tomorrow, she's very ill and her chances of survival are very slim " she said in a crushed voice.

" Aunty Maya? How's that possible? She has always been healthy. What type of sickness? " She asked curiously.

" She's suffering from a thyroid nodule for the past four years now " Mrs Andrew said sadly.

" Four years and Jason never told me " she muttered surprisingly.

Before Mrs Andrew could speak they heard Lollipops' voice " mom, who is aunty Maya and Jason " she asked, batting her lashes.

Isabella threaded her hands into her hair " they are friends, go to your room lollipop. I want to speak to your grandmother, " she said and Lollipops nodded obediently.

" So what do we do now mom? " she asked.

" Let's fly back to New York first thing tomorrow morning. I know you are no longer together with Jason and you will get to see him often. You just have to show him you have moved on " Mrs Andrew encouraged her and she bobbed her head.
