Chapter 109: Wedding Ceremony!

Chloe wanted to speak but Maria stopped her, she nodded reluctantly even though deep down she didn't want Isabella to leave.

The following day, Mrs Andrew informed Isabella about her decision to send her back to California, surprisingly to them she didn't object.

" Aunty what's wrong with Bella? Is she really ready to forget about Jason so easily? " Chloe said with a slight frown.

" Chloe, you should be happy that she's ready to move on and she's no longer sulking because of him. " Mrs Andrew said nonchalantly.

Just then Isabella came downstairs already dressed up, " Mom, I'm going to see Millie, we are going for wedding shopping " she smiled.

" Have fun dear and stay away from him " she reminded her and she nodded.

" Wait Bella, let me see you off " Chloe quickly followed her.

Immediately they got out of the house she grabbed her by the arm " what's wrong with you? Why are you acting like you aren't hurt? Why do you want to leave and give up easily on the one you love? Bella I'm begging you to let all your pain out and I'm sure you feel better than killing yourself like this " Chloe yelled at her, she really couldn't watch her pretend like everything was fine anymore.

" What are you saying? I believe everything happens for a reason, I'm happy and that's it " she simply replied and wasn't even touched by the words Chloe had said.

" Tell me you don't love him anymore " Chloe asked her as she placed her hand on her hips.

" I don't love him, after Millie's wedding I will be leaving from here for good " she said casually. She got into the back seat of the car, and the chauffeur took off.

Isabella arrived at the shopping mall and found Nancy together with Millie checking out some wedding dresses at a shop.

" Oh Bella, you are finally here " Millie smiled as she gestured to her to take a seat next to her.

" Did you tell him already? " Emily whispered into her ear.

Isabella bobbed her head " I told him and it's over between us " she gave her a faint smile.

Emily's gaze flickered " That means you chose the baby over him? Bella aren't you sad? " She asked softly.

" I'm fine I guess, come on let's do what brought us here okay ," she laughed.

In the wink of an eye, a month passed by quickly and it was already Emily's and Alexander's big day.

The makeup artist was just done with her makeup and she turned to Isabella. " How do I look? " She asked curiously.

" You look breathtaking, " Isabella smiled at her. Emily had wanted Isabella to be her maid of honour, but Isabella had refused as she didn't want to be anywhere close to Jason.

She also heard Jason refused to be Alexander's best man luckily Chris and Chloe took the honour.

" Where is Chloe? Isn't she ready yet " Emily asked Nancy.

" I met her a while ago, she said she was going to the restroom, I'll go check on her " Nancy replied.

Just then they heard a knock and surprisingly it was Alexander who had come in.

He stared at Emily lustfully and Nancy snorted as she walked over to him " you are not supposed to see the bride now, get out " she pushed him but he refused to leave.

" Nancy, if you let me go through, you will be given a week off from the company, " he smirked as he placed his offer.

" You devil! You know how to get to me " she grumbled as she made way for him.

" Can you two excuse me and my wifey, " Alexander said and Emily blushed shyly.

" Whatever " Nancy said as they left the room together with Isabella.

Emily and Alexander locked eyes " Why are you staring at me like that? Is just your same old Millie " she smiled.

" You look totally different today, it feels like I'm just seeing you for the very first time " Alexander was about to kiss her but she hastily moved backwards.

" Don't ruin my lipstick and you need to leave now, it's time already " she said and began to push him out.

" Millie, are you trying to get rid of me? " he said in a pitiful tone.

" Just get out " she successfully pushed him out and to their surprise they found Mr Anthony outside the door.

He cleared his throat " what are you doing here? " Mr Anthony demanded

Alexander itched his head embarrassingly

" Oh Dad,I lost my way, I thought this is the restroom, mm Millie I'll leave now " he quickly slipped away and Emily burst into laughter.

" Are you sure you want to get married to this clown? " Her father asked.

" Come on dad, Alex is really sweet and caring " Emily chuckled.

" If you say so, princess , just know your mom and I will always be here for you whenever you need us " he said and she hugged him.

" You and Mom should take care of yourselves, I'll miss you two a lot " she said coquettishly.

" It's time dear " Mrs Anthony reminded the father and daughter who were already getting emotional.

Emily held a bouquet of flowers as she walked down the aisle with her arm locked together with her father's.

She stared far into the distance and Alexander was already standing on the altar with the priest. He was looking really dashing today, his long lashes fluttering as the reflection of the sunlight flashed on his handsome face. He followed the gaze of the congregation and turned to her direction with a charming smile on his face

They got to the altar and her dad placed her hands on Alexander's “ you better take good care of my princess ” he whispered into his ear.

“ I will, ” Alex nodded with a bright smile.

“ Alexander, do you take Emily Anthony for your lawful wife,to have and to hold,from this day forward,for better and for worse,for richer,for poorer,in sickness and in health, until death do you apart ” The priest said.

“ Yes I do, ” Alexander nodded hastily and the crowd burst into laughter.

“Emily, do you take Alexander Miles

Emily smiled sweetly at him, she bit her lip hard as if hesitating " yes I do " she nodded with a gummy smile.

Before the priest could speak, Alexander grabbed her waist and pulled her closer. He slammed his lips on hers, she tried to speak and he used the opportunity to gain more access into her mouth, he only let go till they were both feeling breathless.

He shamelessly turned to the crowd and they all burst into laughter, Emily blinked confusedly, she looked at him and palmed her lips.

" What's funny Millie? " Alexander asked as he stared down at himself.

" Your lips are covered in lipstick " she managed to say in-between her laughter.

He quickly grabbed a tissue and wiped his lips and the stain spread even wider, Emily laughed till she fell on the chair " Alex are you trying to kill us," she managed to utter as she couldn't stop laughing with the crowd.

He hastily slipped away and went into the washroom. Emily smiled and went to change from the wedding dress.

Isabella decided to go with Emily, on her way to the room she mistakenly bunked into Jason. " Belle! " He muttered.

She walked away without even sparing him a glance, she took in a sharp breath before going into the room.

" Let's take some selfies ladies, " Isabella said with a chuckle as she walked in.

" Bella, are you really leaving tomorrow? " Emily asked in a sad tone.

Isabella smiled faintly " yeah I think it's best for me this place only reminds me of good and bad memories " she sighs silently.

" Did you tell Jason? " Emily asked as she carved her brows. " No I didn't and no one here should say a word to him " she warned them sternly.

Chloe half smiled " Just forget about it Emily, Bella has gone crazy " she said angrily.

" Yes you can say all you want, let's take a selfie. I won't be here by this time tomorrow. I want to make memories with my sister and best friend" Isabella said as she brought out her phone.

Just then they heard a knock on the door, and Stacey came in with a small smile on her face.

" Emily, I'm really happy for you and Alex, I guess you two deserve each other. I will be leaving for France now. Take care and Goodbye " she chuckled lowly before leaving the room.

" Stacey!! " Emily called out to her.

" Thank you very much and take care " Emily said immediately Stacey turned around. She grinned before leaving the room.

After the ceremony was concluded, Emily and Alexander got into the back seat as Miles's chauffeur drove off. Emily frowned on their way " this is not the way to your house " she said.

" I know, " he replied nonchalantly as he pulled her into his warm embrace, stroking her hair.
