Chapter 103: don't tell my brother about this yet

Isabella's mouth fell open " so you hate me all this while because I got everyone's attention and a Barbie doll? " She asked to confirm as she still couldn't believe her ears.

" Not just that, even all the elders showed you more love than I could ever get from them. My parents weren't exceptional at this. I mean, it's not as if you are cuter than me, " she said as she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear.

Isabella's expression soften" I'm sorry if I made you feel that way, it was never my intention. If only you told me earlier I would have apologised a long time ago. I hope we can start all over again " she said genuinely as she brought her hand forward.

Zoey was stunned by her attitude, she couldn't believe Isabella would apologise to her so easily, she stared at Isabella's extended hand, she suddenly smiled brightly, she stood up and gave Isabella a hug.

Isabella froze as she widened her eyes from amazement, she quickly composed herself and hugged her back her dumbfounded expression slowly turned into a sweet smile

Zoey broke the hug after a while, she lowered her gaze immediately her eyes met with Bella's. She fiddled with her bracelet and Isabella laughed " are you shy? " She asked.

Zoey inspected her fingers " don't tell my brother about this yet " she mumbled.

" I will try, let's go look for your brother, " Isabella smiled.

" Where do we begin from? " She asked.

" Let me make a call, " she excused herself and went to a corner.

She came back shortly after, " we don't even need to look further " his at Alex " she said and they walked towards Harrison's car.

" How did you know? " She asked suspiciously.

" I asked a friend to track down his location, " she said.

Zoey gave a half shrug, she didn't even care, she just wanted to fix everything she had destroyed.

Isabella watched her walk over to the driver's seat, she couldn't help but pause on her tracks " are you going to drive? " She asked. She had heard Jason and Mrs Harrison nagging about the way Zoey drives recklessly.

" Do you have a choice? " Zoey asked as she gave her a once-over.

Isabella shook her head and got into the car. They arrived at globex and they proceeded to Emily's apartment, luckily the drive wasn't as bad as she had thought.

" Are you ready? " Isabella asked her.

She nodded and rang the bell herself, the door burst open and Emily smiled " come in " she made way for them.

They both went into the house and Jason and Alexander were conversing. Isabella walked over to Jason and gave him a peck on the cheek.

" Why do you keep getting angry these days? " She smiled sweetly at him.

He looked at Zoey " You two came here together," he asked surprisingly.

Just then they heard the doorbell ring again, Alexander turned to Emily " are you expecting anyone? " He asked.

Emily shook her head " I'll go check "

" No I'll go instead " he stopped her and checked through the peephole.

He opened the door reluctantly, Chris and Chloe walked in.

Jason clenched his fist in anger and was about to go over to them but Isabella held him " relax, I called them over, there's something you need to know " Isabella said.

Isabella turned to Zoey and she nodded " firstly I would like to apologise to Chloe. I shouldn't have stolen Chris from you. I admit what I did was foolish and I'm sorry for that. I know some of you might not understand, back in highschool I knew Chris and Chloe were secretly dating each other and during that period Chris parents decided to get him engaged to any girl from a respectable family, i pushed my dad to Chris house, I knew I would get easily accepted because our family were friends for years and that's how it all began at first I didn't love Chris I only did that to make Chloe sad because she's Isabella's cousin and eventually I fell in love with him" she paused as she stared at Jason.

" Brother I'm also sorry, Chris and I never got intimate, I only lied to you because I was angry " she lowered her gaze.

" I apologise to everyone, I promise I won't make any more troubles again. '' She said apologetically.

" So you did all these things because you hate Bella? Zoey, are you crazy? Do you know how much damage you caused? " Jason raised his voice at her.

Isabella patted his arm " Baby, calm down " she said softly.

Tears flooded her eyes and began to stream down her cheeks " I'm really sorry guys. " She mumbled.

Isabella stood up and gave her a hug " it's okay Zoey, it's alright now " she gently patted her back.

Jason was so stunned that he became speechless " what's going on between the two of you? " He asked as he stared at them weirdly.

" Zoey and I are cool now, we have sorted out our differences " Isabella smiled at him.

Chloe inched nearer to Zoey " it's now a thing of the past am just glad that you have clarified everything to everyone " she gave a reassuring smile.

Zoey wiped her tears and turned to Chris "I'm sorry for all you have made you passed through all this years Chris " she said as she forced a smile.

" Alright I'm glad the issue has been settled and everyone is happy " Alexander laughed to make the atmosphere cheerful.

" Guys I'll leave now, " Zoey said and walked out of the apartment with her head lowered.

AT THE ANDREW'S MANSION

" I can't believe that we can finally be together " Chloe smiled as she wrapped her hand around his neck.

" I'm sorry I made you wait for three years," Chris placed his hand on her waist.

" I love you very much Chris, " she said as she drew nearer to him.

Chris conquered her lips and they engaged in a passionate kiss, he grabbed her waist roughly and Chloe slowly pulled out.

" We are at my place, my mom might come in anytime" she reminded him with a chuckle.

" We don't need to hide or date each other secretly anymore, I want the whole world to know that you are my girl and that I love you so much. How about we go see my parents the following week " he said as he pecked her lips

" Are you sure they are going to accept our relationship? " She couldn't help but ask.

" I'll try no matter how difficult it gets, I know my parents are strict and they have been making decisions for me but this time around I won't let them dictate my love life"

He said matter of factly.

" I'm ready to wait even if it takes five years, I really want to be with you till the end of time " she cupped his cheeks as she stared into his eyes they could both see the longing and hurt in each other.

FUN CLUB

Zoey sat down at the down floor of a club as she downed her glass of wine. She picked her phone from the table.

" Hey Ava, I just broke up with Chris and I'm feeling really really down. Can you come drink with me? " She asked in a sad tone.

Ava sighs silently " okay just send me the address I will be there as fast as I can " she said and the call got disconnected.

She kept downing the glass of wine silently as she stared outside the window.

Ava arrived and walked over to her, she took her seat and Zoey poured a glass of wine for her.

She narrated everything that had happened today and Ava listened. " I feel really bad for you Zoey " she said as she brought out her phone.

" I don't even know where I'm going to start from now. I feel so lost why did I let my jealousy get me here " she slapped her forehead frustratedly.

" I believe you will find the right one who will stick by your side forever " Ava said nonchalantly.

" I'm sure we will, " Zoey plastered a fake smile on her face.

Just then a guy walked in wearing a white T-shirt and casual black pants, he smiled and walked over to their table. Ava abruptly stood and they kissed " I got to go now, Zoey take care of yourself " with that said she grabbed Jace arm and they left the club.

Zoey's jaw dropped as she stared at the path they took in shock.

GLOBEX

Isabella came out from the bathroom in her pink silky pajamas, Jason was already lying on the bed with the duvet on him.

" Hurry up, I want to turn off the light, " he urged her.

She rolled her eyes and slowly walked to the bed, she slumped on top of the bed tiredly.

She shut her eyes and noticed something wasn't right, she slowly opened her eyes and she glanced at Jason who was staring at her intensely with pursed lips " what are you looking at? Turn off the lights and go to sleep " she said in a bossy tone.

He suddenly pinned her on the bed, he leaned in and sucked on her upper lips. " I don't want to go to sleep, " he said in a husky voice.

She pushed him off her " okay then, you can sleep whenever you want as for me I'm going to sleep " she said as she stretched her hand to turn off the light.

His eyes caught sight of her pointed nipples, in her silky revealing pajamas. He suddenly pulled her , she lost her balance and fell on his chest.

" Jason what are you doing? " She said, emphasising each words.

" We were in the middle of something this morning and we didn't get to round it up " he gave her a mischievous smile.

" I'm sleepy and I don't feel like it …."

" Come on, cupcake " He cut her off as he buried his face on her chest.

Isabella let out a sarcastic laugh " aren't you the same guy who almost blew up when his sister said she got intimate with her fiance I thought you are against sex without marriage oh… or have your perspective changed hours ago " she said mockingly.

Jason sighs loudly and he felt like biting his tongue off " I shouldn't have said that " he thought.

She got up from him and lay on her side of the bed, she covered herself with the duvet and quickly drifted off to sleep.
