Chapter 102: I want you to sort out your difference with my sister

Back outside Globex, Isabella sat at the back seat of Chris' car as she listened to their story interestingly.

" You mean you two had fallen in love since highschool? That was before Chris moved to Switzerland with Zoey." Isabella analysed from the part she had heard.

Chloe nodded " Chris and I would have gotten engaged instead of Zoey if only he was fast enough to tell his parents about us. By the time he was ready regardless of the consequences the news of his engagement with Zoey broke out and we got seperated " she said.

" Even after three years I kept yearning for Chris to come back to me, I couldn't move on cause my heart has always belonged to him " she said sadly.

" So let me get this straight, Zoey must have known that you two love each other. That's why she quickly told her parents that she likes Chris? " Isabella asked to be sure.

Chloe and Chris nodded in unison " I really don't love Zoey, you know my parents are strict and never go back on their decision. I had no choice other than to accept her " Chris said.

" Did you tell Jason about this? " Isabella asked.

Chris shook his head " no I didn't, I knew he would side with Zoey after all she's his sister " he said matter of fact.

Isabella sighs loudly " you are right, Chris, Chloe don't feel bad about what happened a while ago, Jason is just angry and you both know he doesn't joke with Zoey. I will make him understand everything" Isabella said with a faint smile.

" Thank you Bella, " Chloe said.

" Chloe I'll hit you if you say that to me again, you have always been there for me, I'm just doing the same " she said as took Chloe's hand and placed it on that of Chris.

" I hope you two will be together forever, Chris don't break my sister's heart " she smiled.

" I won't let her down again " Chris said as he glanced at Chloe with a smile.

Back Inside The Apartment

Isabella went inside and she met Zoey on the couch playing games on her phone.

She shook her head in disgust and proceeded upstairs, she abruptly heard Zoey's voice " hey get me a glass of water " she said with her gaze on her phone.

Isabella laughed sarcastically " you know the way to the fridge " she said as she headed to the stairs.

" Go get me the water, I'm a guest in this house " Zoey said arrogantly.

" A guest? You are not even acting like one moreover isn't this your brother's apartment? " Isabella hissed before going upstairs.

She pushed the door open, and walked straight over to Jason who was looking for something in the closet.

" Why is she still here? " Isabella asked.

" Isabella please not now, can't you see she's currently heartbroken " Jason said.

Isabella laughed " she's heartbroken? It doesn't seem so to me like have never seen a heartbroken person playing games with so much focus "

" Isn't that better than for her to think about that scum, Do you know she almost slit her wrist I believe my sister deserves better " Jason said.

" I think it's the other way around, '' Isabella murmured.

" I want you to sort out your differences with my sister, I don't like the way you two always fight. I heard you guys arguing just a while ago " he said knowingly.

" There's nothing to sort out, your sister just hates me for no reason since childhood " she said unceremoniously.

" And where are you going? " Isabella asked.

" I'm taking Zoey home and also to inform our parents. I'm sure Chris is going to do the same " Jason said as he changed his shirt.

Back At The Harrison's Manor

Jason and Zoey walked into the living room and Paisley came over " welcome sir and ma'am " she bowed slightly.

It was Sunday, and his dad is usually in the house on these days of the week" Where are my parents? " he asked.

" Madam and Sir are in the garden " she replied and bowed again before walking away.

Jason nodded and they both went to the garden, immediately Zoey spotted her parents she ran to her father's arms in tears " daddy! " She called out.

Her father patted her back in confusion as he stared at his wife " what's going on? " He asked Jason.

" Dad, Chris and Zoey broke up " he said nonchalantly.

Mr Harrison frowned " why is that?" He raised his voice at Zoey.

" Daddy, Chris cheated on me, his having an affair with Chloe, Isabella's cousin " she sobbed loudly as she sat next to her father.

" What are you saying dear? Chris would never do that, have known him since when he was a kid " Mr Harrison said.

Jason nodded " dad, Zoey is telling the truth, Chris admitted it himself "

" But why did he agree to the engagement if he knows he won't be with my princess? " Mr Harrison said furiously.

" Son, where is Bella? " Mrs Harrison asked as she looked around.

" Mom, aren't you even concerned about me? You are asking about Bella. Is she more important to you than your own biological daughter " she yelled at her mother.

Mrs Harrison laughed " Chris is really a patient guy, he really did tolerate your bad attitude, I guess the kid is already fed up with it " she said casually.

" Dad, you see that right? Mom hates me so much that she doesn't even conceal it anymore. All she thinks about is my brother and Isabella and not me " Zoey said.

" I did all my best to keep my relationship with Chris healthy, but what did he do? He went ahead and cheated on me with that slutty Chloe after I gave myself to him and Bella she's ……"

Jason cut her off, " you mean Chris touched you " he said through gritted teeth.

Zoey gasped " I….I just let it be brother" she muttered as if it slipped out of her mouth mistakenly.

Jason suddenly stomped off angrily " brother it's alright, please don't go " she ran after him.

Mrs Harrison turned to her husband " you see what you caused? You have spoiled this girl rotten, I hope you have seen the outcome " she said angrily as she abruptly stood up.

" Honey, don't get mad we can fix this " he said as he went after his wife hastily.

At The Garage Of The Manor

" Jason, please wait, just let it be okay? " Zoey blocked his path.

" Zoey you better move aside, don't force me to push you off, I warned Chris repeatedly not to touch you till you both get married but he didn't listen" Jason said.

Her forehead puckered " There's nothing you can do now, it's not as if I can get my virginity back "

" I know it won't but that doesn't mean I will let him go free this time " he pushed her away and got into his car, he drove off immediately.

Zoey groaned in pain as she got up, she dusted the dirt off her body, and she began to panic " what do I do now? What if my brother does something really bad to Chris? He never touched me I shouldn't have lied " tears ran down her cheeks.

She pressed her lips together " My brother won't listen to anyone except that bitch Bella " she said.

She fumbled for her phone in her purse and called Isabella after great hesitation. It rang for a while before it got connected. " Bella, something bad is about to happen, let's meet at the coffee shop close to school " she said and hung up.

Isabella arrived at the shop and met Zoey sitter by the window. She looked really serious and nervous as she tapped her fingers on the table.

Isabella sat opposite her " why did you call me over? " She went straight to the point that it was not as if they had anything to discuss.

" Bella, I need you to stop my brother, " she said in a pleading tone.

" What did you do? " Isabella stressed her words.

" I…I lied to my brother that I and Chris got intimate, he got agitated and I tried to stop him but he pushed me off and drove out of the house " she said sheepishly.

Isabella gave her a dirty look " Zoey how could you do such a shameless thing" she said.

" I was just angry and jealous, do you know how I am feeling right now ? " She pouted sadly.

Isabella's expression closed up" Zoey it's just the two of us I want you to tell me the truth Do you love Chris? " She asked.

She drew her lower lip between her teeth "

" Why should I tell you? We aren't even friends " she said as her eyes went around.

Isabella sighs loudly " what choice do you have if you don't speak the truth I won't help you and oh one more thing we are running out of time. I'm sure you know how your brother behaves when he gets angry, " she said as she raised her brows at her.

Her lips twitched " fine Bella I will tell you, at first I didn't like Chris at all, I just wanted to take Chloe's happiness from her because she's your sister, and gradually I began to fall for him and just so you know it's all your fault " she said as she smoothened down her skirt with her hand.

Isabella's expression hardened " My fault? " She mumbled and Zoey nodded her head.

" How? " Isabella asked curiously.

" You must be wondering why I always got into a fight with you and hated you alot back when we were kids " Zoey said as she turned her face away.

" Till now " Isabella added instantly.

Zoey glanced at her as she rolled her eyes `` exactly when we were four, when our parents always set a playdate for us all. You got more attention than me even though we were the same age. I mean Chris, Alex and my brother and other kids always hang around you and want to play with you. I always felt lonely and it made me looked down on myself and that made me too began to dislike you, the hate grew even stronger the very day my mom bought two Barbie princess dolls I told her I wanted the one with the pink dress but she refused even though I cried and pleaded with her, she gave that doll to you in my presence and I felt really hurt, ever since that day I hated you more than anything else " Zoey said and sigh loudly.
