Chapter 10 : baby have been looking for you everywhere

Mrs Andrew went to the gift registration room to register their gift.

“ Alright let's go in “ Mrs Andrew said. They all walked towards the hall .

Emma bit her lip hard. She stepped  forward, went to the gift registration room and looked around. Sure enough,she saw that the Andrew's gave a painting, she didn't know what type of painting cause she wasn't allowed to peek .

She scoffed inwardly, ” what a cheap gift “ she said. ” The Andrew's are so stingy.“

She registered her gift and went straight to the hall , she saw Isabella and Chloe chatting by a side.

She walked up to where Ava and Eva were standing.

” Look at the way Isabella is carrying herself,she thinks she's some kind of beauty queen.“  Ava said.

Emma noticed that a lot of men were staring at Isabella,some even

Proceeded to talk to her.

She became infuriated, before Isabella showed up she was the one who was in the limelight, but today nobody even glanced at her all because of Isabella.

While at the other side of the hall Isabella and Chloe were talking

” Did you see Emma's face when we walked in,she was completely stunned ,she never saw this coming that serves a bitch like her right. “

Chloe said.

Isabella laughed ” why do you hate her so much. "She's after me, not you.”

Chloe stuck out her tongue ” I know ,I know, but anyone who dares to bully my dear sister will have to face me first “ she said seriously.

” aww I am so happy that I got such a sweet cousin sister like you.“ she said smilingly

At that time a handsome guy walked up to Isabella, ” hey “ he said with a charming smile.

Chloe chuckled and whispered in Isabella's ear ” I will go grab a drink “ she said excusing herself.

Isabella was stunned. She turned around and glanced at the guy. He looked Handsome, charming and decent. He was wearing a grey suit that fit him perfectly, he has a great figure too and his voice was sweet in the ears.

” Hy ” she said to him with a smile

He extended his hand to her “ my name is Liam Logan ”  he said with his soft voice.

” Isabella Andrew ” she shaked hands with him.

“ You mean you are from the Andrew family? “  Liam asked.

” Yeah, ” she said.

“ Wait a minute, are you Uncle William's daughter? ” he said with his eyebrows raised up.

” Uh huh ,do you know my dad “ she asked? “

” Yeah, your dad and my dad were business partners before your dad passed away, '' he said.

He continued to say “ Your dad was such a good man ,my father always says nice things about your dad till date.” Liam said.

” After your dad past away we heard that you and your mom moved away from New York , we never learnt that you came back ” he said

“ Yeah, we have been back for about two weeks, ” Isabella said.

At that time Jason suddenly appeared in the party hall.

Jason was a key figure. Although his appearance had come out of the blue he nevertheless attracted everyone's attention . Everyone looked at him.

“Ah oh my gosh Jason is here ”

“ wow his so handsome ”

“ ah ah he looks dashing in suit ,I feel like i'm gonna die ”

“ ah Jason I love you, I wanna kiss you ”

Some girls were screaming shamelessly,with their shrill voices.

Jason was undoubtedly the most handsome and charming guy in New York.

Ava nudged Emma excitedly “ Jason is here, he looks super handsome tonight ”  she said.

Emma eyes immediately lit up ,she turned around to look at him, when she saw him her smile froze, she clenched her fist tightly “ he wasn't wearing a blue suit instead he was wearing a champagne colour suit, she wore a blue dress becomes of him ,she wanted to wear matching outfit with him but now his wearing matching outfit with Isabella.”

Emma was shaking with anger; she was on the verge of losing her mind.

He didn't even notice any of those people that were staring at him. His eyes were wandering in the crowd  he spotted Chloe, he walked up to her ” where is your cousin?  “ he asked.

” oh she's  over there “ ,she pointed in the direction she was standing before.

He followed her gaze ,he was stunned , Isabella was talking and laughing with a handsome guy. ”

Jason's handsome face turned slightly dark. Chloe noticed his expression and smiled. Then she sighs and  added “ Isabella is such a flirt, an uncountable number of boys approached her today. ”

Jason's face twitched.

Ava said to Emma while grinning“ look Jason is coming over. ”

Eva said “  Jason looks super handsome quick, go to him ,Emma!

Emma didn't speak,but her eyes were shining brighter and brighter. She took a step forward and gazed at Jason with her chin proudly high  ” maybe he wants to apologise to me ,after all he said he was going to wear a blue suit “  she thought to herself.

Then the crowd watched as Jason walked past Emma and headed straight to where Isabella was, a short distance away.

Emma's expression froze instantly. She clenched her fists tightly. Her friends were even more shocked.

” where is Jason going “ Eva was puzzled ” but Emma is here! could it be that he isn't …..

Ava quickly gave Eva a push. Only then did she realise that she said the wrong thing and she hastily shut up.

Ava quickly comforted her “ Jason must have something important to attend to, there are so many people at the party today,  maybe he has some instructions to give.

Eva added ” that's right , situations like this aren't good for romance either.

Their words made Emma bite her lip when she saw Jason going nearer and nearer to where Isabella was. Her heart suddenly sank .

She watched as Jason walked up to Isabella, Isabella wasn't aware that she had become the topic of discussion not until Jason called out to her “ baby have been looking for you everywhere ” he said placing his hands on her shoulder.

For a while it was as if someone had pressed the mute button for the entire party hall.

There was no other sound aside from the soft music that the Harrison's were playing.

Jason's voice just now wasn't too loud or soft ,but because everyone was paying attention to him, his words had reached everyone's ears clearly.

Everyone looked at him incredulously and then at Isabella.

Isabella was dumbstruck, she was blushing scarlet, she lowered her head shyly.

Jason's bright eyes turned as dark as ink as he raised his head to look at her. She was putting on light makeup,the champagne colour V-neck dress made her skin look snow white with her delicate collar bones ,slender arms and slim waist, she looked sexy and classy.

“ Oh Mr Logan , you are the one keeping my fiancee company ” Jason said.

He said leaving Isabella speechless.

“ Wow, my bad I didn't know that you too are together ” he glanced at Isabella.

Isabella nodded shyly “ his my fiance to be ” she said.

“ Okay I will leave you guys , see you some other time, don't forget to save my contact and next time we meet you have to pay my dad a visit okay ? Liam  said.

” Sure, “ she said with a sweet smile.

Then he walked away.

Jason's expression was getting darker  ” wow, she's such a flirt, they just met but she has proceeded to the next step with him ,she wants to meet his dad too. what a little vixen, she mustn't forget that she's getting engaged to me even though we are just pretending to be in love.“ he thought to himself.

Jason suddenly kneeled on one knee, took Isabella's hand to his mouth,and fell a kiss reverently.

” May I have this dance? “ he said.

Everybody was stunned, and the girls even looked at Isabella with envy.

Isabella was equally surprised. Because she did not expect Jason to do such an act.

Jason stood up and made a dance gesture to her.

Isabella blushed again, she felt her heart thumping wildly, she gave her hand to him.

The two walked into the dancing crowd holding hands. They were wearing the same colour of cloth which made them look like a couple in love.

It's just that people in the crowd seem to give up their place automatically.

Thankfully, Isabella knew how to dance the waltz, she had been taking classes since she was a little girl.

Jason held Isabella's slim waist and led her to dance, they were dancing beautifully.

Mrs Andrew and Mrs Harrison who were standing next to each other were delighted to see this harmonious sight.

” They look so perfect together, “ Mrs Harrison said.

Mrs Andrew nodded in agreement.

While on the other side of the hall ” Emma was about to break down her face turned pale and she was on the verge of fainting.

Ava put her hand on Emma's shoulder and sigh “ Emma I think you should let go of Jason ” she said sympathetically.

Emma bit her lip and tears were welling up in her eyes.

She chuckled bitterly “ I won't let Jason go that easily ,I will teach Isabella a lesson tonight.”
