Apparently, Cynthia was on her way to Alvin's office which according to her to celebrate her success and she was right no one would have suspected a thing not even Alvin.

Remember the flaw in her plan, it wouldn't have mattered but there was something she didn't know which we're about to find out.

While glancing through a pile of papers on his desk, Alvin's eyes narrowed to find a divorce paper, immigration tickets, and documents then a signed copy of Kate's properties as alimony to him for wrecking his business but something else caught his attention.

Her signature!

He looked closely at it and saw a name he was too familiar with: Cynthia.

Despite everything he had witnessed: her contempt, arrogance, and maliciousness he found it difficult to believe.

Cynthia was behind Kate's kidnap? Even Kate hasn't mentioned it to him.

According to her words, I'll need all the strength I can get"

He didn't want to ask either after all he thought Logan did it for payback.

Speaking of the devil and she appears. She walked into his office with the warmest smile he has ever seen.

" Hey, are you busy? She asked swaying her hips then sat on his desk.

Being a smart man he decided to test her.

" Not really. With Kate missing and Quinn too. I can't think of anything else and I got a delivery. Take a look" she twitched her mouth, stood up, walked around his desk to his side to read the papers.

" I'm not surprised she took him away. It was bound to happen. Forget about that bitch and let's get married. Thank God she signed the divorce papers. Good riddance. Look here, she returned a few properties to you that were nice of her. Don't you think? His eyes looked into her pretentious eyes and snarled ready to snap her neck but gave it a rest.

He would like to see how long she was going to play him.

Or what Kate has installed for her.

" I don't know what to think anymore. Not after thinking I've known someone all my life, she was always there for me at the worst moment but I found out I knew nothing about her in the end, she was putting on a mask: a charade" she hissed looking around his office till her eyes landed on a photo of Alvin and Kate on the wall and frowned.

" That wasn't here before? Alvin arched a brow in oblivion then she pointed to the photo frame hanging on the wall.

" I can never forget that woman despite her coldness. She got me" he noticed her eyes darkened. To be honest Cynthia had always shown her hatred for Kate but not to that extent thus he leaned back scrutinizing her.

" She's gone Alvin with your son"

" She took Pamela with her. That's not like Kate at all.. she'll never take what doesn't belong to her" she shrugged nonchalantly as if to say.

They're dead already. There's nothing you can do.

" Sulk a little, will you? We have a board meeting" she informed strolling out of the door while Alvin hit his hand on the marble desk.

The nerve of that bitch' he muttered on his feet to see Kate who has been busy fixing their new home: the place she'll be moving into after their vow renewal.

The place where everything started. She wanted to live there as all the memories were in there, good or bad she didn't care. It was their home': hers and Alvin's now Quinn's.

It gave an account of their past. Their beginning.

The housemaids were helping her to reorganize the house when Alvin stepped in.

" We need to talk" she sighed pulling her gloves off then followed him upstairs.

" What's up? She asked dabbing her hands while he halt with hands on his waist.

" Cynthia kidnapped you? Why didn't you say so?

" Because I wanted to deal with her myself. She fucked with the wrong person. I'm going to pay her in tenfold. That psychopath who is obsessed with you" his eyes softened as he pulled her into his arms.

" That wasn't what I expected. I never knew she could go that far" Kate huffed relaxing in his arms.

" Why is she obsessed with you Alvin? What did you give her? Honestly, I don't know what's happening to her" Alvin sighed.

He didn't know either. He met her in a gymnasium, ran into her a couple of times especially on important occasions and they clicked after one thing led to the other and they were a couple.

He didn't think he treated her specially not that he was always in the country.

" I don't know Kate. She definitely wasn't a virgin when I met her. I didn't do her favors either. I was being me"

" But you engaged her" he gave her an apologetic gaze running his hands on her arm.

" Not really. It was all my mom's doing and I didn't refute either. Marriage wasn't really my problem at the moment. She was so serious about it. I could bet she was faithful also though I wasn't which she found out but didn't throw a tantrum like most women would" Kate poked him in annoyance.

" Every woman would unless she's crazy or after something else. I guess her obsession started a long time ago" he shrugged caressing her hair.

" What are you going to do to her?

" It's better if you don't know for both our sakes. I assume you found the signature. I knew you would" she said proudly nibbling on his jaw.

" Tell me you're proud of me" she chuckled disengaging from him which had him sulking.

" No, I'm not. We'll talk when you return. I'm quite busy"

" Too busy for me? She cackled sauntering to the exit then looked back.

" Maybe I am" the door creaked as she closed it but Alvin couldn't help but think about Cynthia.

Why was she obsessed with him? He never confessed his love for her. What gave her that impression?
