She was strolling on the walkway in deep thought.

Her constant worries weren't good for her depression and asthma but she couldn't help it. She hope to outlive it at some point in life but it turned out it was permanent.

Louis was lucky to have his tumor operated unlike hers that requires management.

But was Alvin really hiding their son from her? his birthday was in two weeks perhaps that's what Bianca brought for her. Her eyes widened as she hurried to the resort but Logan was on her trail.

He hasn't given up. They needed her on their side. So, he kept following her then stopped to grab her but she bumped into Alvin instead who blocked her path.

He retreated to his car to watch.

Kate glared at him trying to yank his hands off her but his grip was firm.

" We need to talk"

" We have nothing to talk about" she blurted deadpanned.

" Are you leaving after everything is over? You're still going ahead with the divorce? She gritted her teeth fuming with anger.

" What? why Can't I leave you? You left me to grieve alone for four years. I can't believe how stupid I am to let you touch me again. You don't look like a man that lost his only son in a ghastly accident. You're not in grief Alvin. You've never been. Now, why is that? He narrowed his eyes at her letting her go as they stared at each other for minutes.

Her indirect question caught him off guard. His eyes didn't waver though he was itching to open up to her.

Just tell her goddamn it" he scolded himself.

Did she mean this much to him? Then why did he hurt her years ago? He couldn't help but ask himself.

" What are you talking about? Of course, I mourned Simon" she hit his chest hard which he didn't mind considering the nightmare the night he slept with her.

He won't be surprised if she stabs him in the process. The truth is he won't stop her.

" When was that? I recalled after you locked me up, you were attending press meetings with Cynthia in your hands. Do you know what? I don't believe a word that leaves that cunny mouth of yours" he pulled her closer to himself caressing her hair.

" Don't touch me. I gave you time to come clean Alvin. You just wouldn't. I'm going ahead with the case. I'm closing that goddamn hospital. I'm going to make sure their licenses are revoked. It'll be your fault for being untrustworthy" he squinted his eyes wondering where she got the idea from.

He thought he had closed the Simon chapter.

" What's this about Kate? I don't understand"

" Fuck off bastard" there were times Alvin turned a deaf ear to her insults and today wasn't one of them thus he held her back demanding an explanation for the insults.

" What's that about?

" I said let go of me. Stay the heck away from me. This is your last warning" she warned with her fingers which he held.

" Are you daft? Say something. You're ranting like a lunatic Kate. Tell me what I did wrong" he snapped as she released her finger from his hold and poked him.

" Do you know what? You're a bastard for touching me" she had kneed him in his crotch before he could reply which had him letting her go to save his family member yelling her name.

' Kate!!! She gave him the middle finger and walked away while Logan nods in satisfaction unaware of Colton's presence.

Stupid of him to think Alvin works alone.

A whirlwind of emotion swept through Kate as she retired to her suite struggling between right and wrong.

What was real and what wasn't.

The truth is she was confused.

Alvin banged at the door demanding entrance minutes later but she ignored him. She wasn't listening to his sweet nothings anymore.

But her instincts.

Staring at the mirror she'll be thirty-four soon then she scoffed how time flies hereby she wasted her youth on someone irrelevant.

She wasted her golden age.

He should be thirty-seven as she knew he was three years older than her. So she was told. She didn't know if he was lying cos there was no ounce of truth from him except deceit and tricks.

The banging continued. It irritated her at a point that she had to call security to throw him out but none dared. She gritted teeth and opened the door.

" what... ' his lips were attached to hers in nanoseconds before she could finish her words engaging in a fierce kiss.

She gasped pulling at his shirt but he was adamant to get his way with her.

Why does he want her? She wondered kissing him with the same fervor then pulled away glaring at him.

' what do you want Alvin? Haven't you done enough? What do I have to do to get rid of you?

" Come back to me. That's all I'm asking for please" he tells her panting. She wriggled her index finger at him stopping him from getting closer to her.

"That's not gonna happen. I'm not entitling my life to you again. It's not happening. I'm returning to my family once we're done with the divorce that's what brought me back in the first place, not the revenge. that I can do from afar without so much as a sneak peek for you" he gulped deeming it reasonable then sauntered her way but she seem to be going in circles trying to escape his hold which irritated him but he kept calm.

" You said after David is put behind bars" she chuckled at his naiveness.

" I guess I lied don't tell me you fell for that. Oops sorry. Things aren't returning to normal because we lay together again after four years. It never will" what she said brought out his arrogance as he retorted.

" Yeah, why am I not surprised since you slept with Dante and came home to sleep with me also. You were never remorseful not then not now. You played me I won't be surprised if Simon wasn't mine" she clenched and unclenched her fist but didn't get close to him.

" Now you have experienced first hand what Dante went through yet he stood by me. About Simon, how I wish he was Dante's. I wouldn't be in this mess right now putting up with your arrogance" that was it as he dashed at her grabbing her before she runoff.

" Say it again?

" You heard me" she replied with her head high itching to slap him but chewed her gum instead.

" Do you know what I would have done to you had Dante impregnated you? It's unimaginable Kate. It's something you won't be able to recover from. I don't share what's mine neither will I tolerate having a bastard growing inside you" she twitched her mouth, not a bit offended that was the Alvin she knew.

She knew that part of him was still there.

" Like I Care. I overcame everything. We're so having that divorce" she blurted out which had him stiffening wondering what got into him.

He was trying to get on her good graces but ended up threatening and cursing at her. He facepalmed himself holding her closer.

" Please let's not fight anymore. Let's get back together I'm begging you. I miss you Kate" he tells her then buried his head on her neck.

He was tired of fighting with her.

He was tired of being the bad guy. He just wanted his family back. He wanted her back.
