The search to substitute the mafias merchandise wasn't going too well. David had gathered a few but then again he had decided to replace them with his.

They were getting suspicious. Some have called to change delivery time and transportation but why?

" Sir, do you think they know? Logan asked as if reading his mind.

" How?

" I can find out if you let me. Regarding the spy, I sent after Kate. He was killed. I think Kate knows something"

" Kate? He burst out laughing then glared at him.

" She's harmless. I don't think she's that smart" he retorts with an eye roll.

" Don't underestimate her. If she could harm the man she loves then she can do anything"

" What are you insinuating? I couldn't have gotten this far without her assistance. She wouldn't do that to me believe me" Logan sighed.

" I think your love for her has blinded you. Everyone is a suspect including her I don't care what you think. I'm keeping an eye out for her. She's too powerful. You gave her power over the mafias. Heck, she knows a few from the USSR. I don't trust that woman. I never did" the way he said meant he doesn't need David's permission thus it pissed him off as he punched him forcing him on his knees.

" You don't talk to me that way. Alex is going to be my temporary right-hand man henceforth. Go bitch around with Kate and if you're wrong, I'll permanently demote you" Logan bare his neck in submission still on his knees. David wanted a proper apology but none came.

"Get out of here" he snapped.

Alex stepped in as soon as Logan Left.

" You sent for me Sir"

" Get ready we're going downtown and get me a new suit" he commanded while Alex bowed then entered his en suite to get it only for him to find David's laptop on the desk.

He looked around for cameras or persons then sat down to see

After finding the info he wanted he plugged a flash drive to copy the info while searching for the suit then grabbed it. Copying everything will take time thus he decided to stall for time by walking out of the suite.

" Here Sir. Oh, I forgot to lock the front door. I'll be right back

" Get me a decent shoe' he added thus he hummed heading back to the suite then removed the flash drive.

" Here you go, Sir. Do you need my help with it?

" No need. Get my briefcase" Alex bowed trailing to the door to wait then opened it after David was done dressing up.

With a smiling face, he shut the door.

Kate stood outside of Carla's diner with a briefcase fighting within herself.

Did she still want the videos to divorce Alvin? He was sorry. He even knelt to apologize to her. Will Simon want this?

But he hurt her. Deceived her. She lost a son to his rival. He allowed Carla Lorenzo to lock her up knowing she was innocent. He made Dante a victim but then again he took care of her family.

She had more than one reason to divorce him just as she had much to stay if not for anything but for her dearest mother.

But what will others say? Most of his employees know her as the devil that wrecked her husband. They referred to her as a witch. Winning their hearts back was something she wasn't ready to do.

She had gone too far into the revenge to turn back.

She could forgive him. It won't be easy but she can do it if only she puts her mind on it.

It was a pity her first marriage failed even though she wanted it to work.

If only Simon didn't die. If only Alvin confronted her with the video.

She had forgotten about her but what can she possibly do to make her pay? Her finger was on her jaw but she didn't have the slightest idea perhaps when David is miserable she'll reveal her true colors.

At that moment, she was there for Carla.

" Kate! Pam called running towards her which brought her from her trance.

" Hey, baby girl. Where's your friend? Don't tell me he's around? Pam smiled leading her inside.

" He is here. I told him you were coming and he showed up today. Have you noticed he has your eyes' Kate narrowed her eyes urging her to elaborate?

" What do you mean?

" I mean don't tell you haven't noticed. I advise you do" Kate's eyes darted to Quinn's to take a better look.

Now that Pam mentioned it she found herself believing it thus sat beside him. Quinn gave her the warmest smile.

" What's your last name? I mean your father's name? She asked smiling at him.

" Why are you asking? Is something wrong? Kate starred at his face noticing his arched brows, full heart lips, and his overgrown body.

He was too big for his age.

Only if it was possible. It couldn't be.

" I just learned I don't know your last name. Please tell me" she urged handing him a soda.

Quinn bit his lips with a little grin. Oh, she recognized him already too bad he can't tell her.

" Norton. Quinn Norton" he tells her as Kate's eyes fell.

Who was she kidding? It couldn't be.

" That's him. The only Norton in school. He has bodyguards, chauffeurs like someone is going to kidnap him in school" Pam exclaimed which had Quinn smirking.

" Dad tends to exaggerate sometimes. I'm not in trouble" he explained

" Well, I'll love to meet your Dad" Quinn spilled his soda all over the table almost choking which had Kate patting his back worriedly then handed him a cup of water.

" Are you okay? Gosh, you scared me" she tells him pulling him into a hug. Quinn melted into the hug with much emotion.

" Hello, Kate. Kids, do you mind giving us a minute? Carla said politely.

" Okay. Don't leave without me" Quinn tells Kate stepping down from the chair then grabbing Pam's hands.

" Lovely kids," she said sitting beside her.

" Here are the pics or whatever you wanted," she said sliding a folder towards her which she opened then handed her the briefcase.

" It's yours just like I promised. Don't lose it this time. I spent money to retrieve it take as my way of apologizing... Anyway, I'll see you later" she stated on her feet.

" What about Quinn. He seems to like you"

" Perhaps I look like his mother" she squinted her eyes staring into the distance then hurried out of the diner while Carla shrugged.

She had her company back what could be more generous than that?
