Confused and surprised Bianca stared at Quinn who was certain she recognized her.

" Quinn dear, I have to go. Renee will take you to your father" she said referring to the receptionist then strode after Kate though she might have gotten off the elevator already thus she took the fastest elevator and rushed out of it immediately it clicked hoping to find her.

It must have been her lucky day cos Kate was in the parking lot trying to fix her blushing cheeks then felt a presence and turned around to find Bianca Kang staring at her.

Alvin had arrived at this junction to stop his mother but it was too late thus he decided to listen to her thoughts about him to another person.

Perhaps it might help him to improve.

Kate couldn't decipher what was going through her mind.

Was she mad at her? She reasoned because the look on her face wasn't one to ignore.

" Mrs. Kang" she bellowed seemingly small under her heated gaze.

" She knows me now. How comforting" she retorted deadpanned.

" I have to go if that's all" she deadpanned twirling her car keys.

" Why did you leave? We could have released you"

" Oh really? We both know that's a lie. Was I supposed to die at Alvin's mercy? He fucking sent gangsters after me. We had an accident. Someone died. It wasn't his fault but that didn't change the fact that my son died and he locked me up. what should I have done? Wait till his anger dissipates? Or perhaps wait till he has some uses for me. Well, I'm glad I left. You have always wanted Cynthia for him, there's every chance for that to happen. It's just a few months away for our marriage annulment" Bianca frowned.

Why was she blaming her? Alvin is a full-grown man.

It was beyond her.

" I'm sorry about that but Kate what's all this about? Why David?

"Because he was there for me when you abandoned me. I had a cesarean section for god sake. I made the right decision rather than be your son's toy"

" Do you hate him that much?

" For what he did to me? Of course, I do" Bianca's eyes fell at her response.

" Alvin loves you, Kate. He was hurt by whatever you did. Look at the bright side. No man will be happy to know that his wife ran away from him with a bump. You hurt him"

" Good because he deserves it for involving me in his games. I'm a victim because of him. I didn't ask for it. Save the lecture for your son. He needs to be taught the right way to treat a woman he claims to love. That definitely isn't me' she reveals opening the car door.

' I'll like to take my leave if that's all. It was nice meeting you anyway"

' you're going to annul your marriage because of David?

" No, because I lost a child to his vengeance. Hell, I don't want to lose another"

" Do you know what he did to you? David made him resent you. He" Kate cut in.

" He didn't tell Alvin to lock me indoors or use me as a sex toy did he? Don't waste your breath. I'm not going to forgive him not now not ever. Do you know what I went through in the USSR? I wouldn't expect you to know cos you haven't lost a child"

' Kate, what if I tell you that there's hope? What if Simon was alive? What will you do? Kate burst out laughing which had Bianca scowling.

Then she stopped.

' if only wishes were horses beggars will ride" she quotes as Bianca sighed deciding to give it a rest.

" Can we talk another time? Kate narrowed her eyes at her wondering what she wanted from her.

Wasn't she on Alvin's side? She never liked her maybe for a few months during her pregnancy.

" I'm busy' she said flatly trying not to be sarcastic.

No, she wanted nothing to do with Alvin's parents.

" I could come over if you want. I want you to understand him. You can't hate your husband. You're still his wife"

" Then tell him to leave me alone. You are his mother. Make him listen. We don't have to disgrace ourselves to be granted annulment" she chastises leaning on the car.

Her heels were killing her.

" I wish I can do that. I'll drop by at the resort then" Kate hummed.

Bianca looked at her with sympathy and regret which surprised her.

" Anytime. I have to go. Say hello to Mr. Carl for me" she tells her respectfully.

" Kate! She called as she swerved around to hear her out.

" I'm sorry for what my son did to you" she stared at her for a millisecond and twitched her mouth then nods.

Not another word was uttered by her alas she drove away while Alvin who has been listening to them emerged from his hiding.

" She's still pissed" Bianca hissed glaring at him.

" Yes, and whose fault is that? Let her know about Simon. Don't you want her back?

" That's exactly why I can't tell her. She'll never forgive me for lying to her. I can't risk it. "

" She resents you as it is. Trust me she is not ready to forgive you anytime soon. You better make up your mind. Simon might be the key to everything. Kate loved that boy"

" I love him more. I can't live without him. She'll take him away from me. I can't lose both of them" Bianca was taken aback by his confession then hugged him.

' she'll never do that. If you don't have faith in Kate. Have faith in your son. Quinn will never leave you behind. You're his hero trust me. He adores you. Don't let him down" Alvin thought of letting Kate about Quinn perhaps they might be a happy family again but he dreaded her reaction when he does.

Hence, he needed a good reason to escape her wrath.
