After the long night of tugging her drunk brother to bed and cleaning after him, she decided to see David.

Alvin's incessant plea worried her as she stared at David who was having dinner in front of her.

She knew he had ulterior motives to bankrupt Alvin but she didn't expect Alvin to come begging and to think he apologized for maltreating her troubled her.

As stunning as it seemed she couldn't forgive him. Maybe she would try if Simon was alive but he wasn't.

Henceforth, she is playing the game with David to learn about his plans for her after he had achieved everything and Alvin was as poor as a church rat which she didn't think of before accepting his offer but she knew better now and was going to keep a close watch.

All wasn't lost perhaps she wanted to be normal again for Louis and her mother's sake whom she hasn't seen for four years.

" David! She called as he raised his head to acknowledge her call.

" So, what happens now that the mafias are on your side? He creased his brow then dabbed his mouth with a napkin before answering her.

" What do you mean? We're in this together. Alvin is still wealthy but not for long. I'm sure custom has demanded tax and trust me it's going to bankrupt him"

" What's next? You've achieved everything as you planned now what happens to me? He stared at her in scrutiny, picked a glass of water, and took a sip of it.

" You have had your revenge and I have the money. That was our deal. Isn't that what you wanted?

" Perhaps. I assume you have found Simon's gravesite. Can I see him? He hummed dropping the cutlery.

" I'm working on it. Who knew your husband can be diabolical" he teased trying to reassure her with a smile while she rest her Chin on her palms staring at him.

He was in a good mood.

' And what has been delaying you? It's just a gravesite. Don't tell me he's smarter than the richest man in the country? She taunts as he chuckled picking his cutlery.

" You haven't touched your food. Don't fret. I'll find it. Enjoy your meal'

" After you find him. Will you Marry me? Her face wrinkled then leaned back on the chair rest astounded.

" Just speculation. You know I am interested in you. No pressure. You can decide to accept my proposal or decline it but either way, I'd love to be between those sexy legs of yours" he shamelessly said with all seriousness as she grimaced making a mental note on it.

' In your wildest dream. I'll like to see you try" she revealed earning a lopsided grin from him.

" You still love him, don't you? Behind those furious cold-blooded eyes is a woman yearning for her husband's touch. Deep down you feel something for him, right? He asked instinctively peering into her blank face.

" I love no man. You and I are too different David. I don't see myself loving a man like you in a hundred years. I'm leaving once you find Simon's gravesite. Alvin is broke and sorrowful at the moment. . Leave me out of it. I'm not a property to be owned. I thought you're the type that learns from other's mistakes" she warned deadpanned.

His face scrunched up at her threat and to think she was leaving didn't sit too well with him. He needed her by his side to handle the mafias.

" I'm nothing like Alvin Reagan Kate: a fool in love" Kate understood what he meant thus leaned towards his lips and smirked certain he was cos he gasped at their proximity.

" You think or you're trying to believe it? Whatever rides your boat, Dave. I'm out of here" she sassed sipping her drink slowly the dropped the glass cup.

" You wouldn't do that if you knew how much I want you" he whispered as she rolled her eyes at him like she hasn't noticed the way he looked at her like she was one to open her legs for any dick or harry.

" Too bad you can't. Don't work yourself up over nothing cause I'm not giving myself to you no matter the circumstances" he smirked scooping a spoonful of veggies in his mouth savoring it like he would a lollipop which annoyed her.

" Just how good was he that had you swearing off sex since you can't have him anymore" she leaned back on the chair rest staring at him

" Nothing that concerns you. Call me when you find him" she stood up ready to leave but he stopped her by gripping her hands.

" Kate! He called in a coquette tone.

" I'm not interested in having sex with you" he cleared his throat staring lustfully at her plump lips.

" It sounds like you, alright but you'll change your mind eventually. You all do"

" Don't be so sure of that. You don't know anything about me" he ended up laughing out loud then tried muffling his laughs.

" I have known enough. I know you said the same thing to Alvin years ago yet he got between your legs and got you wrapped around his fingers. I can wait I'm a patient man. You'll know when it's time" he whispered with eyes darting to her cleavage.

' I can't believe you, David. My eyes are up here" she replied yanking his hands off her.

" I'll keep in touch in case I find your dead son. We can have another baby if you want" he scoffed watching her raging eyes widen like saucers.

" You're crazy" she bellowed

" You do know that Simon is dead right? Don't tell me you haven't thought of having another child from a different father?

' you must be crazy to think I want you to be the father of my unborn child. I can see power had driven you crazy. Enjoy it while it last" she stated storming out of the room while he watched certain she was going nowhere.

" As long as he loves you, you'll be mine' he muttered then reached for his ringing phone.

" What is it? He asked angrily

' it's me Logan'

" Okay. Have you found the site?

" You wouldn't believe what I have to tell you"

' what do you mean? He dropped the cutlery to listen attentively.

" He never buried him. No record of him at all. I checked the hospital and I found out he is alive"

' " I don't understand. Simon Reagan is alive?

' yes sir but I haven't seen him. Alvin instructed them to declare his death to Kate to punish her for trying to get him killed"

" Simon Reagan lives? He asked for the second time wearily.

He wasn't expecting him to live and to think Kate still loved him worried him.

She might abandon him to be with Alvin and his son.
