-11-Past.
"Past experiences are the things that have devised our life up until this degree. it is of vital importance to our happiness and wellbeing.
It could be filled with happiness or sadness. However, What matters is!
it makes us, our gold.
"Our precious life is Gold.
Yet,
Our Experiences decides how we will mold."
We ALL make decisions based on habits of the past, but even then we lose out on the greatest moments & changes in life when we do.
Christian's 6'2 form loomed over Riley's 5'3 form and she had to crane her neck to look up at him. His red plump lips were sent into a smirk as he looked down at her blushing face.
While She was completely frozen as he looked at her with those beautiful eyes of his. She pinched her wrist to control her irregular heartbeat.
Riley nervously looked down and then looked up again, His face slowly dipped, a few inches away from her face. So, she gulped at the proximity, being this close to a beggar was giving her unwanted jolts of shivers. She nibbled on her bottom lip. it was a habit of her when she was embarrassed. Her eyes began to close and her mouth began to pout thus she could hardly register anything around her other than him.
While Christian's gentle pupils completely reflected her shadow his plump lips opened and he said word by word. "Your phone is ringing, Honey!"
Christian enjoyed her flustered state. He liked teasing her making her blush. He could still taste her on his tongue. The taste was addictive, alluring. She was addicted.
Her cheeks flushed red. She was anticipating something else. Her hair was loose, and she looked like sin and temptation wrapped in a yellow candy cover. Like she can give him all kinds of pleasure and still be his home. Everything together. He craved for her just her. Alas! it wasn't the right time.
Christian allowed her to step aside to understand what he had said. Despite the sparkle in her eyes of anticipating a kiss, she got her emotions sought quickly.
'Ah! You naughty woman, You expected a kiss!' That traitorous voice, Her subconscious, she hated it with a passion. Her mind was not thinking rationally and all she did was the opposite of what she was supposed to be doing.
Anyway, soon Her phone rang again.
"Hello."
"Daddy."
"Did you marry a beggar?" Her father asked angrily.
"I.Dad. Yes!" Riley wanted to bang her head on the wall. She felt like crying.
"Why?"
Her head lowered apologetically and her eyes turned misty again. Fiddling with the sleeve of her coat. She racked her brains out to find a desirable answer for the question, her father asked. But what comes out of her mouth was only a word.
"I. Dad.."
"Why would you?"
"I'm sorry Dad."
"Just tell me Riley brown. Fuck. Why?" her dad sounded Furious.
"I like him."
Her father scoffed at her response.
"Don't lie to me. Riley Brown.!"
"I'm not lying, dad." She wasn't exactly lying, after all, it was clear that she has started to have a liking towards him.
"You have disappointed me Ril-boo, I have never foreseen what you could do. Our family has turned into a laughing stock in the whole city. How could you do this to your father?" Her father venomously spoke hitting her through her heart.
It hurt her, but she deserved to be pained since she could not be a good daughter. It was all her fault. If she has shown her courage and should have tried to inform her father, He might have done something to save her. But saving her happiness and destroying her parent's hard work would have made her feel worst. A minute passed when She answered back.
"I never expected things will turn out this way Dada! Please forgive me !" Riley cried from the other end.
"Even if you did like him, you could have come to me Ril-boo. I would have arranged a job for him, He is a beggar. For God's sake!" Stephen Brown never wanted to but her darling daughter for he has seen her crying. Her eyes filled with tears rather than happiness, never made him feel good. But then again, Parents need to punish their children if they did something wrong. And, if he didn't who will!
"Dadda...He is not a beggar now, He has a job."
"Haha. Riley Brown, You are a millionaire's daughter for God's sake. How can you even say that? It seems I have given you too much freedom Riley-boo, First that low-class job. And. Now A lowly beggar-husband. And even more, you are arguing with me?"
"I'm sorry dada. I know I did something wrong. You can insult me, punish me whatever you want, I will accept it. But Please Don't say any bad thing about him. He isn't a lowly beggar. He is my husband. And a very nice man. Please respect him."
Her father grunted in response and hung up. His Blood-pressure started increasing again. 'Ah! Just when did his Ril-boo, grew up and when did she become so disobedient!' Chugging a glass of water with an Anti-hypertension tablet he sighed. The doctor had already warned him to not think about anything that can potentially increase his blood pressure. But he didn't understand. What happens when your children do some stupid things. How will he figure it out?
While in beggar's home, Riley stumbled to the sofa, her head lowered letting her tears flow silently, Listening to her father's voice she couldn't help but reminisce her memories.
The last she was scolded was her father had remarried.
Yes, she has a step-mother and a good one at that, So if you imagined Riley to have a pitiful life. She didn't. Her stepmother was everything she imagined her actual mother to be. She was the only one who allowed her to accomplish a job outside their family. The job that was her love of life's dream.
She still remembered the day, when she wanted to be present between them on the aisle. Her Stepmother had accepted it with a smile. While her father had scowled at her. He had ordered to stay put and not be mischievous.
But 6-year-old Riley and 7-year-old Stuart had repeated their vows and exchanged paper rings in front of all the guests, They were almost going to kiss each other when her father had taken her to a room and had scolded her to death. And had told her the importance of Marriage.
The fact was, she was always an achiever. Always good in grades, bright smile, Head of the cheerleading group, good nature, Perfect figure, Better dressing sense, and most of all a real personality. That all other teenagers didn't. She was always true to herself.
She was to inherit the enormous RS group, Her father's company that was indulged in the manufacturing of electronics all over their country. She was always responsible and obedient.
So when she told her parents about doing a job that didn't belong to her empire. Her father lost his temper. If you think, he scolded her for it. No, he didn't. He just shouted a small word "No."
And Later in the evening, He tried to convince her to not be stubborn. She didn't want to hurt him. However, it didn't mean she wanted to drop the idea of being a writer.
Only at that time, Milly decided to stand with her. She persuaded her father to let her do the job and experience life. Hardly then she was allowed. However, Now even she was disappointed in her!
Slowly slowly, Christian walked up to her, while Riley kept sitting there silently. Finally, Christian Evercast left her Nothing, just disappointed parents.
