Chapter 51: Chapter 51

Lexis sits on his car with his head against the car seat with his eyes close while his driver drives him to work.

His phone starts to ring and that's when he opens his eyes to take it. He glances at the caller and he sighs when his father's name shows on the screen before he slides to answer and then he closes his eyes.

"Why on earth would you not allow Rahila to stay with you?" It's the first thing he hears his father asks him through the phone in a loud voice.

He sighs. Of course, she must have told him he didn't allow her stay.

"Because it's my house and I decide who will stay and who will not." He says firmly.

"The girl wants to stay with you simply because she has taken a liking to you. Just let her stay, Lexis."

Lexis clenches his fist trying to contain his anger. "You already asked me to marry her and I agreed. Why in the world do you want me to let her stay in my house? We're not even married yet!" He protests further.

"Is it not the same thing? Whether she stays now or later. It's same thing, so let her stay. I will tell her to her to go back because she said your men already threw her out. And yes..." He pauses before he continues. "She also told me you threatened her with a gun?" He asks with disbelief clear in his voice.

Lexis rolls his eyes, "I only wanted to scare her."

"You hardly have second thoughts whenever you pick up a gun Lexis, don't do anything stupid. Anyways, don't chase her out anymore, that's it." With that, the line goes dead.

Lexis throws the phone beside him on the seat as the frown on his face becomes deeper.

Meanwhile, at his house, Rahila stands on the balcony looking down at the entire view of the house with a smile on her face. She sighs as she holds on to the rail.

"I have a very lovely father in-law." She smiles as she turns around and goes over to the florida room where she sees Erica sitting down on a sofa with coffee in her hands.

"You must be a boss of your own here." She says as she walks close to Erica who didn't even bother turning to her.

"But um...If I may ask, do you also live here?"

Erica still doesn't answer her.

"I asked a question, hello?" She says now standing beside Erica who still didn't glance at her.

She shrugs, "I just wanted to know because, you well... You're a woman and you're not bad looking. Who knows your motive."

Erica raises her head slightly and turns to her but didn't say anything and simply just stares at her.

Rahila frowns,"Why are staring at me?"

Erica sighs standing up to her feet and places the glass of coffee on the table before moving close to her. She stares blankly at her before walking pass her.

Rahila stares at her leave and clenches her fist in annoyance. She sighs and makes her way out of the florida room as well. Just as she comes out, she sees Rose walking towards her direction with a brush in her hand and small bucket. She stares at her wondering who she is.

"Hey, you." She calls to her and Rose turns to her staring at her with a puzzled expression.

"Me?"

Rahila rolls her eyes, "Aren't you the only one here? Don't be dumb and come here."

Rose purses her lips before walking over to her.

"Where is Lexis's room?" Rahila asks her.

"The boss's room?" Rose asks.

Rahila's face turns into a frown. "Of course, you stupid girl."

"It's upstairs." Rose replies.

Rahila's eyes travel up to the staircase and she nods.

"What do you do here?" She asks Rose.

"I um.... I'm a maid here." Rose answers staring at Rahila with a puzzled expression as she wonders who Rahila is. She knows at once that this one is trouble.

"Good." Rahila smiles. "Finally found someone to do my biddings. Some other people are feeling too big." She says referring to Erica.

Rose looks around trying to figure out if who the person the lady means is her.

"May I ask who you are?" Rose asks.

Rahila stares at her for a moment but didn't say anything. She simply walks pass her and goes over to Robert who is standing by the staircase.

"Where is my luggage?" She asks him.

Robert turns to her, "They are in the guest room."

Rahila frowns, "You still haven't taken it out of there? I told you I want to stay in the same room with my husband."

Robert stares at her confused still not familiar with the husband term.

"Husband?" He asks with a confused expression. He can't recall seeing his boss getting married.

Rahila folds her hands across her chest. "Of course you idiot! Take it from there and move it to his room."

"We can't just do that Miss, that's off limit." Robert says in a calm voice. There's no use raising his voice because he will end up losing it on her.

Rahila scoffs, "Off limit you say? Well we'll see about that." She turns around to Rose who is standing staring at her.

"And what are you still standing there for? Do you look useful to me?" She glares at her.

Rose bit her lower lip and quickly starts walking away. Ever since Kemi left, she has been the only doing the entire chores in the house. Madam Teju dosen't even make things easier but rather beats and yell at her each day. She no longer has anyone to talk with and the house has become really lonely for her. She could quit but where would she go? She doesn't have a family and going back to the streets where she is from, is far worsevthan staying here. She really misses Kemi and hopes she's fine.

7:25 PM

Lexis steps out of his car as he arrives at his compound before walking towards the entrance of his house. He goes straight to his room and just as he's about to shut the door, a hand blocks it. His brows furrows in confusion as he stares at the hand before looking at the owner.

His eyes fall on Rahila and he isn't even surprised.Who else would be this annoying?

"What do you want?" He asks in an exhausted voice. He is very tired and dosen't want to waste his energy on her right now.

She smiles at him. "I want to sleep with you in your room. I don't like the guest room."

He looks at her in disbelief. Is she even okay? He's already finding it hard enough to have her in his house and she's saying she wants to share a room with him?

He sighs and turns away from her to lock the door but she bends down passing under into the room.

He turns to her in disbelief. "What the f**k is your problem? Get out of my room."

She didn't answer him but simply walks over to the bed to lie down. She pulls the blanket over her body before tapping to the space beside her.

"Won't you come to bed? Or, you want to freshen up?" She asks before she nods, placing her head on the pillow.

Lexis sighs as he stares at her lying comfortably on his bed. He turns around and leaves the room with a frown on his face. Rahila sits up on the bed staring at the door. She quickly climbs out of the bed.

"Wait! Where are you going?" She yells still stting on the bed.

Lexis goes over to the sitting room and lies down on the sofa. He asked for a blanket to cover his body and just when he's about covering himself, she barges into the room carrying a blanket and pillow in her arms as she walks over to him.

"You're sleeping here alone? What about me?"

Lexis springs up from the bed before looking at the door.

Shit! He has forgotten to ask the guards to lock it. He ignores her and turns his side to her but of he thinks that would make her leave the room, then he's wrong.

She places her hands on his shoulders. "The sofa is too small for the both of us."

Lexis groans at the verge of exploding from annoyance. He pushes her hands off him and springs up, glaring at her.

"Can't you just leave me alone and f**k off?" He yells at her.

She rolls her eyes, "We kissed at your father's party that day and it was nice. Why are you suddenly acting like this now? It's not like I'm not hot or pretty." She shrugs. "I have men lining up for me."

"Then f**k off with them and let me have my space!" He growls at her before running his hands over his face.

"Your lips look sexy right now, can I kiss them?" She asks with her eyes fixed on his lips.

He gives her an irritating look before standing up from the sofa.

"Get out." He says curtly.

She walks over to him and wraps her arms around his waist leaning against his chest taking him by surprise.

"Oh my..." He sighs. "Get the f**k off me." He says in a low but more serious tone.

She doesn't seem to care whether his voice sounds scary or not because she starts to rub her face on his chest.

"Hmm, you smell so nice." She says into his back. He drags her hands away from his waist and pushes he away from him. Then he starts walking away.

"Where are you going?" She asks as she walks after him.

Lexis starts walking downstairs. If he remains in the house with this crazy woman, he would definitely lose it.

Robert moves to escort Lexis but he stops him.

"Don't worry, I'm going alone."

"But..." Robert starts to protest.

"I said I'm going alone." Lexis says again and this time, Robert quickly steps back.

"Don't let that crazy b**ch follow me." He says referring to Rahila before he starts walking out of the house.He goes over to the garage and slides into his Benz before driving out of the compound.

Meanwhile, Rahila walks down the stairs and sighs when she sees his car leaving the compound. She slowly walks down the stairs before looking around.

"Where is that maid? Maid!!" She calls out in a loud voice. "I wonder why there's just one maid in the huge mansion." She murmurs with a frown. Just then, Rose walks over to her.

"My name is Rose." She says to her with a frown.

Rahila frowns, "What importance is your name to me?" She looks at her from head to toe. "My friend will you go and make me hot tea?"

Rose nods slowly before walking away.

"Look at this stupid girl, won't you ask me where you would bring it to?" Rahila says with a deeper frown as she watches Rose leave. Rose stops walking and turns to her.

"Where should I bring it?" Rose simply asks.

Rahila sighs and shakes her head,"I think you will need to be replaced. Bring it to your boss's room."
