Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Being the only black girl gave me a kind of popularity when I first came to this school. And then my academics gave me more popularity. Hold on, I didn't tell you I was black?
Let me describe myself again. My personal appearance now I mean.
"Ash..."
When did we go on nickname calling? It all happened when she and her girlfriend saw me this morning and came to meet me so we could enter the school together.
"Morning, Neve."
I'm like, what?!
"Ash... Could you like describe me? My physical appearance, I mean." I said and she nodded her eyes twinkling.
"Why does she look so happy?" I asked Connie.
"You'll find out soon." Connie replied with a smile looking at her girlfriend.
"Shhh! I'm about to go." Ashley said making us look back at her.
I wanted to talk but Connie held my arm and shook her head. I blinked before going back to Ashley.
"Alright. Get ready to hear the most fascinating and most interesting description ever." She said rubbing her palm together.
I smiled at her enthusiasm.
"Alright, let's start with your face. You have a light eyebrow, not too much, not too little, that compliments your oh so long black eyelashes and your eyes, those sparkling green gems don't lie.
Your lips pink and plum that I so wish to kiss it but I have a girlfriend that I love so... Your face is oval like an egg and it really really compliments your whole features as well as your shiny black wavy hair. You have an hourglass figure... It's like they measured you before making this uniform cause it fits you so well. And then your legs... My my... They are the most beautiful straight legs I've ever seen." She finished and I was rolling in laughter.
"Oh my! Your white pearl teeth looks so priceless so does your laugh and your beautiful smile." She said clapping her hands together and bringing it to the side of her face resting on it.
"Please... stop." I said shaking my head still laughing.
"Told ya." Connie replied smirking at me.
"I see what you mean now."
"What are you guys talking about?" She asked staring at her girlfriend.
"You should probably be an author. I mean, you could write scripts for the theatre club." I replied shrugging.
"Meh. It's not fun and dramatic." She said shaking her body.
I laughed again throwing my head back and she smiled at us.
"Hey! Isn't that my best friend over there?!" We heard suddenly making my laugh die down.
I know that voice. Popular Bastard.
I looked up to see everyone's eyes on him and so was mine. Until he was coming near me... My eyes widened in disbelief as he stopped in front of me with a smirk.
"Look who is here." I said rolling my eyes.
He opened his mouth to talk when,
"Dude! Aren't I your best friend?" Someone cut him off from behind and I popped my head to see who was there even though I had an hint of who it was. And I was correct.
Zaire Hemple was standing there, crossed and looking solely at Quinnel with a glare.
"What?" Quinnel asked.
"That shit annoys. Don't act like you didn't hear when you did." I said patting his back with a sigh and I turned to leave.
"Hey, hold on." He said pulling my arm back.
He turned his head back to Zaire who was still looking at him obviously demanding an explanation.
"What do you expect me to say?" He asked also staring at him now.
"I don't know! Say stuff like "She's just a friend. You're my best friend." Something along that line."
"Hold on... Are you guys dating?" I asked pointing at the two of them with an amused smile.
"No!"
"Ah!"
Yep, Zaire shouted Ah! Seriously though, what's up with that dude? But it was obvious he was joking about the best friend stuff but I don't think Quinnel is getting shit.
"Zaire, don't worry... I'm not out to have your best friend. You can have him all to yourself and you still have him to yourself." I said smiling at him.
"Really?" He asked and I nodded again.
"Alright! I was just pulling his legs and he looks really speechless." Zaire said pointing at Quinnel.
"I am speechless. You know, sometimes I do wonder why I have you as a friend." He said and Zaire grinned at him.
"I know I know. It's that love that pulled you to me. That attraction..." I was already walking off by now. I turned my head to see Quinnel beside me. My eyes widened and I turned back to see Zaire still explaining to the lockers.
Zaire was an handsome guy, no doubt about it. As his surname implies, he is Scottish. His hair is brown in colour which he styled to the back into a small ponytail and his face was thin yet it was beautiful. His black eyes so complimented his eyelashes.
I mean, I guess you could totally relate. He and the buffoon beside me are the most handsome guys in the school. Everyone sees why they were given that title. It's not even a damned partial.
Quinnel was a beautiful man as well. If not more than Zaire. His thick black hair always left messy but I think he tries his best to not make it look like that but well... His honey coloured eyes look so beautiful and that was the first thing that drawed me to him when I met him at first about 14 years ago.
His lips were full and pink that even I felt jealous of his fine lips. I mean, why is his lips so beautiful?! Even more than girls own. The cute dimples that shows whenever he smiles is a killer. His Adam apple bobbed as his eyes moved from one person to another.
The school uniform fitted him to perfection and his muscles bulged out of it showing off the fact that he worked out.
I mean, he is a basketball player. He is the Captain! Of course he was going to work out to keep fit and stuff. Well, Quinnel is an hot person, but I'll never tell him that. I don't want to inflate his ego. Insert eye roll.
"Hey Quinnel." I heard making me look away from him to a girl in front of us. She was smiling at Quinnel and then briefly glanced at me her expression changing ever so lightly.
"Hey, Navaeh." She greeted and I waved at her.
"I'll be in class then." I said waving at Quinnel.
"Talk to you later, Heaven." He said waving back at me.
My brows furrowed. Heaven?
