Chapter 15: Chapter 15

"She took it. I saw her when she was putting it in one green bag like that." She said pointing her index finger at Navaeh.

Navaeh looked behind her and then faced Vivian back blinking.

"Me?" She questioned again.

"Yes you. Don't go denying it now. I've always noticed you've always wanted to touch it... to see it. I guess you're taking it home to take a good look at it. Hmph!" She said and Navaeh looked back at Quinnel who was now eyeing her bag on the floor.

"Quin, come on... don't tell me you believe her. I would never do that to you. Why in God's name would I want to take your warrior?" She said frustratedly. She looked back at Vivian who was now smirking at her.

"Fine. If you know you didn't take it, can we check your bag?" Vivian asked.

"We?" She repeated.

"Yes, we. Me and Quinnel. And if I did see wrong and I'm truly accusing you falsely, I would apologize and never come near you both ever again." She said.

"You didn't take it, Nave?" Quinnel asked and Nevaeh nodded her head frantically.

"Alright then. Vivian if you're truly accusing my best friend falsely, then you will apologize to both of us and never come near us ever again." He said and Vivian nodded her head readily and with courage.

"What if you find it in her bag?" She asked before Quinnel could bend down to pick up the green bag.

"Then she would apologize and never come near me again. But I know she can't take it so it's not even going to happen." He replied confidently.

Navaeh shook her head at him. She already understood what was going on. Vivian had framed her. It was so obvious. The courage, The boldness, The confidence, the smirks.

Quinnel grabbed the bag and Navaeh collected it immediately.

"It's mine after all. Can I pour it out myself?" She asked and Quinnel eyed her suspiciously before he stepped back and nodded his head.

Navaeh felt the bag and she could already trace out the outline of the warrior. She grabbed it with her hand and turned the bag upside down.

Few thing such as shells she picked from the sea, a small comb, some hair ties for packing her hair and that was all.

No warrior. Vivian's eyes widened in return.

It was supposed to be there. Where was it? She made sure she threw it in. How could it happen?

Her eyes went to the bag that Navaeh was clutching. She marched towards her and grabbed the bag from her snatching it.

"What are you doing?"Navaeh asked wanting to collect the bag from Vivian again.

"You asked me to turn over my bag, I already did. What do you still want?" Navaeh asked and Vivian smirked.

"But you didn't turn over the whole bag." She said and let go of the warrior toy and it fell to the ground unto their castle.

Quinnel looked down at the warrior and then looked back up at Navaeh. Navaeh was just staring emotionlessly at the warrior.

"Nave?" He called in a whisper and then Navaeh looked back up at him. She shook her head and Vivian smiled.

"She did it. I didn't take it. Why would I want to take your warrior?" Navaeh's asked.

"Then why is it in your bag?" He asked and she shook her head.

"I told you. She did it." She could feel tears coming to her eyes now.

"What's wrong?" Their parents asked coming near them.

"Why would you take it Navaeh? You could have just asked me. Navaeh, why?" Quinnel asked tears coming to his eyes as well.

"Really, Quinnel? I told you. I didn't take it. It was all her plot! She wants to tear us apart! Why can't you see it?!" She yelled now feeling frustrated at her best friend stupidity.

"See what?!" He yelled and she shut her mouth up with a wince.

"All I see is my warrior toy in your bag! Why is it in your bag, Navaeh?" He yelled and she sighed.

"So that's all out friendship means to you? That's all? Just a stranger coming along and you believe her over me? I thought I was your best friend! I thought there was nothing that would come in between us. But alas, I was wrong. So very wrong." She said and then sniffed.

"Don't worry, I wish you guys a very happy journey of friendship. And you Vivian, I would be back for you before you can blink." Navaeh said and snatched her bag from Vivian bending down to pick her stuff.

After she was done, she took the warrior and threw it at Quinnel's chest.

"Fuck you." She said and turned around wiping her tears away as it came back.

Quinnel watched her go and didn't say anything. Tears were streaming down his face but he said nothing. Just watched her as she walked away from him.

Vivian tried to touch him but he glared at her making her move her hand off his shoulder.

He took his toy and ran away from his family. His Mum called after him but she couldn't stress herself that much as she was pregnant.

Settling down in a secluded place, he stared at his toy with a pout. He was angry. Angry at himself, At Navaeh, At Vivian. Everyone.

Why couldn't Navaeh beg him to let her stay by his side no matter what?! Why did she not even look back once?! Was that all he meant to her? She wasn't the one to back down just because someone told her to. So why did she do it without even blinking once?

Maybe cause you doubted her without asking for her side of the story. His mind taunted.

Why did she take his toy? She knew how much the tou meant to him. So why did she take it?

Did you see her take it? His mind asked again.

He closed his eyes and all he could see was her tear filled eyes. He felt tears roll down his face but he didn't clean it.

Hearing two familiar voices, he wanted to stand up as he thought they had come to call him again.

Their words made him stop.

"What did you do, Vivian?" A voice he recognized to be Vivian's Mother voice asked.

"Can we just focus on finding Quinnel? Don't stress me too much." Another voice belonging to Vivian replied rudely.

"Don't talk to me that way! What did you do you little demon?" Her Mother yelled her voice raising.

"Maybe I am a demon. Why? Is there anything wrong with it?" Vivian asked.

Demon? Quinnel wondered.

"You framed her didn't you? You framed that poor girl. She cried. He did as well. How could you just disrupt their friendship just like that? Even if it meant nothing to you, it meant everything to them. Did you see thier faces? They looked heartbroken! Vivian, do you even realize the depth of what you have done?" Her Mother asked shaking her.

"Even if it meant nothing to you, it meant everything to them." Vivian mimicked glaring at her mother.

Her Mother angrily brought her hand up and slapped her face and Vivian looked at the sand before turning her face to her mother glaring harder.

"Oh please, can I breathe?! I just drifted them apart just a little bit! They can make up for all I care! All I know is, for some days, I have Quinnel to myself and I can't share him with anyone." She replied yelling.
