Chapter 10: Chapter 10

She turned to me and then looked down at the guy holding my hand tightly.

She then bent down to look at him.

Caspian moved backwards holding my leg now.

"Hi there. You must be Caspian." She said.

"Hello." He said smiling shyly.

"Aelin and Aerin are your friend?" She asked even though she knew.

"Yes. But you resemble them in a way." He said pointing at her.

"I know. They're my younger sisters." She said and he nodded his head.

"This is my brother, Quinnel. He is a basketball player in his school. Explains his tall leg. He's also the captain of his team. He's the best on his team. Have you been to his match before? He plays really well."

"I know. He attends my school. But no, I haven't been to his match before." She said.

"Oh? Then I'm inviting you to his next match. When is your next match, Quinnel?" He asked finally looking away from her face.

"Huh?" I asked absentmindedly and I saw one of the twins shake her head and then slapped her forehead. Must be Aelin.

"I said when is your next game?" He asked again.

"Umm, I'm not sure yet. But don't worry, when there is a match, I'll be inviting the three of them." I said and he nodded his head.

"My brother would invite you. I hope to see you there." He said and she nodded her head with a smile.

"I'll be there."

"Promise?" Caspian said letting out his pinky finger.

"Yeah, I promise." She said taking his pinky finger in her own and then sealed it with their thumbs.

"Let's go home, Vee." Aerin said suddenly having been bored out her mind.

"Actually, we're going together. We rode in the car." I said and she blinked at me before titling her body slightly to look at the car.

"Oh? I know this car." She said pointing at the car.

"You do?" Heaven asked looking at Aerin and then me. I shrugged at her in return.

"Yeah. Remember the first day of School? When I was out of the house first?" She asked Navaeh.

"Yeah?"

"This car drove past the house that morning. On full speed." She said the last part looking at me and I grinned at her.

"I was late for practice that morning." I said and she pouted before she nodded her head.

"Cool. Can we leave now? I'm not ready to lose my job." Heaven said and we all marched to the car.

Caspian who would always fight for shotgun seat obediently walked to the back of the seat and sat down there.

I think he likes Navaeh. With any doubt. He spoke to her really well than he ever did to anyone he first met. And I think he takes a favor to her sisters as well.

"Where do you put the twins when you go to "work"?" I asked.

"At the neighbors. I asked for their help and they offered it surprisingly." She replied and shrugged.

"Okay." I said and swerved

She dipped her hand in her bag and took out a cake.

"Brought you guys cake. Share it with Caspian." She said and the twins grunted in approval.

"Hold on, what about me?" I asked and she looked at me blinking.

"Well, the cake is big enough. You guys can all share it." She replied and shrugged.

After some minutes, I parked the car and she and her sisters walked out.

After waving them goodbye, I drive out of their parking space and unto the street. I had gone some metres away from them when my phone rang.

Picking it up, I saw the Caller ID was Mum.

"Hey, Mum." I greeted.

"Hey. How was school

Picking it up, I saw the Caller ID was Mum.

"Hey, Mum." I greeted.

"Hey. How was school today?"

"Fine fine. Caspian is here too. Wanna talk to him?"

"Nah, I wanted you to the grocery store and buy a list of stuff. I'm going to send you the list now." She said and I almost cried. Of all thing, I hate grocery shopping.

"Mum can you..."

"Just buy it." She said sternly and cut off the phone.

I sighed and dropped the phone.

"Mum?" Caspian asked and I nodded.

"Wants me to go grocery shopping. I'm a guy!" I said and my phone pinged notifying me of a message.

"Well let's go then. We have the list, you have me... What could go wrong?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.

I did a U-turn and went back the way we were coming from you see Heaven and her sisters stepping out of their house.

"Hold on." I said and stopped the car. They didn't seem to notice the car.

She came out back in a black tank top and a white legging and black sneakers. Her hair was thrown into a messy bun with strands flying here and there and she looked hot!

Her sisters had changed out of their clothes and was dressed in a jacket, shirt and shorts and sneakers. Their bags were on their back which I have no idea why it's still there. Their hair already let loose from it's bondage as a ponytail or pigtail. Goodness!

They walked to their neighbors house and knocked the door. I noticed Navaeh glance at her phone and then impatiently knock.

After some minutes, she stopped and looked down at her sisters who simply shrugged. Getting off the car, I walked up to them.

"What's wrong?" I asked and she turned around groaning.

"I think they're out." She said and glanced at her phone again.
