Lord of The Mysterious Realms Chapter 1225

Alexia rarely got to see Jenkins look so flustered. So, even though she was seething, she couldn't help but find the scene amusing.

She pressed closer to Jenkins, their hands still tangled in a peculiar way.

"So, young man, now that you've truly been with a woman, do you think it might make you a little more proactive in the future?"

Jenkins didn't even know how the words had escaped his lips.

"Don't apologize, Jenkins. I've told you before, I don't mind sharing. I just wonder when you'll be able to spare a little of your affection for me."

The petite woman's voice was tinged with sorrow.

Jenkins felt like a scumbag—no, he was a scumbag. Ignoring the cat still eating on his lap, he leaned sideways and pulled Alexia into an embrace.

"Jenkins, how I wish you understood what's in my heart." The rıghtful source is novelFɪre.net

"I do understand. Yes, I'm a greedy man, I admit it... I..."

He felt he needed to say some breathtaking words of love to lift the "sorrowful" Alexia's spirits. But he racked his brain and couldn't come up with a single line. In this one area, the esteemed author was truly at a loss.

"But I still have a lot of time before I leave Ruen. Perhaps we could try going on a date, just the two of us..."

The cat, forced to leap onto the coffee table with half an orange, watched the smile on Alexia's face with displeasure. Since Jenkins and Alexia were embracing, only the cat could see her expression.

"Also, I heard there's a famous 'Love Lake' just outside Ruen. They say it's beautiful at night when the twin moons are reflected on its surface. We could go see it."

The cat's expression soured as it stared at Jenkins's back, already plotting what kind of dream it would weave for him tonight.

"But... if we do this... what will your 'lovers' in Nolan City think?"

"The next time I'm back in Nolan, I'll explain everything to them. You're right, Alexia. Since I've made up my mind... I should be clear with everyone, instead of carrying on with them like some sordid affair. That's not right!"

He declared with a determined look, completely unaware that Alexia had been guiding the conversation to this very point.

"I'm so glad you've come to a decision, Jenkins."

She said in a gentle voice.

Alexia was very satisfied with their conversation. She didn't care how many flowers this block of wood had managed to sprout; what mattered to her was whether he cared about her.

It seemed now that all her worries had been for nothing. The reticent man still held his "bizarre" views on love and relationships. It was hard to say if that was a good thing, but at least Jenkins wasn't the kind of scumbag who fell for every woman he met. He still revered love and marriage.

"Maybe it really is as he says, that fate led him to so many beautiful women... Oh dear, why am I thinking ?"

For a moment, the petite woman began to wonder whether she had guided Jenkins's thoughts, or if he had guided hers.

The night outside was deep. The district, still covered in a layer of ice, glistened under the moonlight. The manor was quiet; the servants had been told to stay away. Here in the second-floor drawing-room, the only sound was the occasional soft crackle from the fireplace.

The bright gas lamp cast their shadows onto the wall, two figures in a tight embrace, as if they would never part. As they held each other, their breathing grew heavier. The young man and woman kissed, and then...

"Mr. Williams, Teacher Alexia!"

The door burst open with a bang. An excited Dolores, bundled in a heavy overcoat, strode in, followed by Julia and a line of maids.

But she froze the moment she stepped inside, her hand still on the door, as she watched the two people on the sofa awkwardly pull apart.

For a split second, she felt a pang of guilt and shame for having stumbled upon their private moment. She wanted to apologize immediately, turn around, leave, and order everyone to stay away.

But a moment later, a new thought surfaced:

"Wait a minute, this is my house! Why should I be the one to leave? How could my teacher..."

She felt she ought to reprimand them with some stern words, but she couldn't find a good reason. A strange anger made her hands tremble, yet she couldn't find an outlet for her fury.

"Dolores, what brings you back tonight?"

Alexia and Jenkins had already separated. It was a shame, but this was as far as things would go tonight. Alexia calmly gathered her disheveled hair, her expression unruffled, and questioned her student in her usual tone.

"His Majesty has declared that from this day forward, all princes and princesses are to move out of the royal palace. We are not to return without an important reason."

Julia, noticing the delicate situation and seeing that her princess was still fuming, answered the question in her stead.

"It seems your father has his own plans. He truly lives up to the name 'the Iron Emperor,' making the best possible move at a moment's notice, even in his poor condition."

Alexia quickly finished tidying her hair, and Jenkins settled the cat back onto his lap. The cat was sulking about something again, but Jenkins had long grown accustomed to its peculiar moods, so he didn't find it strange.

After all, a little playtime was usually enough to make the young cat forget most of its troubles.

"Dolores, what are you still standing there for? Come and sit down. Jenkins can tell you about his recent adventures; he's learned the origin of that chess piece. Of course, my original guess was correct. He's had quite an eventful few days."

Alexia patted the spot on the sofa next to her. Dolores bit her lip, momentarily unsure how to react. She was, of course, incredibly upset. Even though she'd long known about the intimate relationship between Mr. Williams and her teacher, she had never witnessed it with her own eyes.

The scene she had just walked in on was a tremendous shock to the sixteen-year-old girl. The image of Jenkins and Alexia kissing flashed through her mind again and again.

Of course, she was jealous. Dolores wouldn't deny her own desires.

Of course, she was angry. This was her home, and that was the man she liked.

A thousand emotions churned within her. Countless words fought to escape her lips, but she didn't know which would be the right one to say.
