Chapter 78: Chapter 78

The next day Deliah was at the pack house.

When she heard about Everett's visit yesterday, she became restless. She could not even sleep last night.

All night she only thought about Everett. Why would he come to visit her pack? Was it related to what he told her at the royal party?

Yesterday she asked Alpha and Luna if there was anything serious that King Everett would have to come since they had just come from his party.

Alpha and Luna told her that it was their fortune that King Everett was coming to visit. They could not question the king.

Delilah sighed as she looked in the mirror. She was wearing a long white gown. It looked good on her. But it was decorated well. Not with stones but with pricey fabric.

She was wondering why she was getting so many expensive clothes to wear. That royal party night dress also looked costly.

She was astounded that Alpha Elias was wasting too much money on her.

A maid came to her room and knocked on the door. Delilah opened the door.

"I came to set your hair."

"What? Why would you set my hair? I can do that by myself."

"No, it's Luna's order. The guest is on the way. So you can not be late."

Delilah did not think much and nodded her head.

The maid beautifully set her hair. It looked like the wings of a butterfly from the back of her upper hair and let all the hair blow down from the lower side.

"Thank you." Delilah thanked the maid.

She went out of her room and headed to the living room.

Her steps paused when she heard Everett's voice.

She could hear him, he had already arrived at the pack house.

She tightened her fists and strolled to the living room. When Alpha Elias saw her, he spoke out,

"Here she is."

Delilah stopped and looked at everyone.

She was stunned when she saw Conor, Luke, Jack, and Havana had also come. Then her eyes fell on the man who broke her heart all the time.

He was in a black suit. It really suited him. He looked like a dominant and at the same time a handsome king. His new hair cut never disappointed his good appearance.

Delilah saw his bright eyes when they met hers. She looked away and went to Alpha and Luna.

"Come, sit here." Luna patted the seat next to her on the couch.

Delilah sat there quietly without raising her head high.

"I heard you will make your son the next Alpha?" Everett said to Alpha Elias.

Delilah immediately looked at Everett when she heard about Simon. Everett ignored her gaze and kept looking at Alpha Elias.

Delilah glanced at the room and could not find Simon.

'Where is he? I hope he is fine.'

"Yeah, you heard right, my King. He has the potential and he is the heir of this pack. He is fully prepared to take the responsibility for this pack and its people."

Everett nodded his head. He glanced at Delilah and let out,

"What about your son's mate? When will he take a Luna?"

Delilah kept her face calm. There was nothing between her and Simon. She could not let Everett misunderstand more about them and hurt Simon.

"He has found his fated mate, King. He will mark her soon. The ceremony will be held together."

"Good. I am pleased to hear that."

Delilah sighed in relief.

"What about catching a glimpse of my pack's sight scene?" Alpha Elias proposed to Everett to visit around the pack.

Everett shook his head. "No, I did not come here to look around your pack. Let's come to the main point."

Delilah frowned when she heard that. 'Main point?'

She looked at Conor. He smiled at her. His eyes were clean and not showing anything.

"It's time to take her back." Everett said.

Delilah could not help but look at Everett. She saw him looking at her.

She turned her head to Alpha Elias and asked,

"Who is he talking about, Alpha?"

Before Alpha could reply, Everett told her,

"It's your time to go back with me, to my kingdom."

Delilah's eyes widened. She stood up. "What do you mean?"

What did he mean by it was time? Why would she go back there?

Conor stood up and said,

"You can not stay here longer. We gave Alpha Elias the time of two months to take care of you. The time is over."

"What?"

Delilah did not understand what was happening there. She turned to Alpha and Luna who were silent.

"What is he saying, Alpha? What is happening?"

Alpha Elias sighed and explained,

"That day when you came to this pack, the king's man who took you here came to the pack house first. He gave us the King's envelope where it was stated that King Everett wanted to take over this pack, but he had another option which was to give us an alliance. If we want that alliance, we have to take care of you for two months. We can not tell you about this and we have to punish your step parents for what they did to you."

Delilah could not believe her ears. All those two months she thought and always thanked for Alpha Elias and his family for letting an orphan like her stay with them. She thought she was owed to them. But was it all for an alliance? If it was not about the alliance she would have rotten somewhere else?

Delilah shook her head. "I can't. I can't believe this. You all betrayed me. How can you give me to this man? I am your pack member. How can you make a deal about a person without letting her know about it??"

She almost screamed at Alpha and Luna.

Luna stood up and tried to put her hand on Delilah's shoulder but she stepped away.

"Please. Don't. I thought you all loved me as your daughter. But there was always a reason behind your care!"

Luna shook her head. "My child. Believe me. I don't have a daughter, but I always saw you as my daughter. I know it was all about a deal. But we never thought bad about you."

"How can you say you never think bad about me? You sold me to a man!"

Alpha Elias's eyes widened and he stood up. He said with a desperate voice,

"No, no, my dear. It was clearly specified in the letter that you are the future Queen of King Everett."

Delilah was shocked when she heard that.

"W-What?"

She could not believe it. 'Future Queen of King Everett?'

Alpha Elias nodded his head. "Yes, you are soon to be the queen of King Everett."

Delilah slowly glanced at Everett, who was sitting like a king and watching them like he was watching a show.

He raised an eyebrow at her as if saying that 'I told you, you will get to know about it'.

Delilah did not know how to react.

She glanced at Conor. He scratched his neck and did not look at her. He was avoiding her gaze since he did not tell her anything from the start.

Delilah looked at Luke and Jack, they smiled sheepishly.

Havana spoke out,

"Come on. It's time to go back to your kingdom, Queen."

Delilah could not believe that Havana was calling her 'Queen'. Was she dreaming? Then she realized that Havana was sitting with Jack and Jack was her mate now, so she did not have anything of her friend Everett.

Delilah shook her head.

"I can't go there. I don't agree with the deal."

Others who were sitting stood up and asked,

"Why?"

Delilah glanced at Everett, who was still sitting on the couch indifferently.

"I can not be your queen."

Luna grasped and held her hand. "What are you saying? It's your luck that you will become the Queen."

Delilah shook her head again. "I have my own reasons. I have moved on from my past life. I can not be your queen. I can not go back with you, King Everett, you can go back to your kingdom alone." Delilah said to Everett.

She could see his eyes fogged with anger. But Delilah could not accept it because he only needed a Queen. That was why he wanted her.

He did not like her, he did not love her.

She would have to stay with him without love. She did not want to be his unloved queen.

Everett stood up and said,

"If you don't want to go back with me, then I will demolish the whole pack and take you away with me from this pack."

He growled and his eyes turned orange.

It shook Alpha, Luna, and a few pack fighters who were standing around them for the Alpha's safety.

Delilah felt scared for the pack and Alpha's family. He was a Lycan. He was alone enough to demolish any pack.

"Y-You can't d-do this." She stuttered.

Everett chuckled,

"Oh, my Delah,

I can do anything for you."
