Chapter 80: Chapter 80

Third Person's POV

Slyvester rushed to the company to deliver the USB left by Terban. He thought he could catch up with Ryan but when he got inside, he didn't meet with her.

"Sh*t. I'm late," he sighed. He approached the employees to ask how he could contact Terban, but they said that non-employees cannot enter without permission.

"Miss, I'm in a hurry. Terban really needs this USB.”

“It was Sir Terban’s?” The employee gasped. “But a while who, there’s a woman who brought Sir Terban’s USB.”

“It was Ryan. But Ryan brought the wrong files either.”

The employee heaved a sigh. She tried to call Terban but only the secretary answered. The secretary said that his boss wasn’t in the office yet.

"I'm sorry sir. I really can't let you in," she apologized.

"How many times do I have to say that this is really important to Terban? Terban and I share the same house!" The woman's eyes widened.

It was known that Terban was the only child in their family. If he has a man in the same house, wouldn’t this create a misunderstanding?

Unfortunately, Slyvester had no idea what was going on in the employee’s imaginative mind.

“The woman you saw before was also living in the same house,” Slyvester added.

Two men and one woman. This would create another misunderstanding too.

“Fine! If you can’t let me in, then…”

Slyvester got his phone and showed her a picture where he and Terban were present.

“See? We know each other.”

It would be hard to believe if he just showed her a picture. But the picture the woman saw was the picture of Terban who had just come out of the bathroom after taking a shower and immediately covered his body because Slyvester took a selfie with him. This can't happen unless they are friends.

However, this is what the woman thought: 'Ahhh. Maybe he has a relationship with Sir Terban. Maybe there are gays with the woman in the same house. Now I know. But it's surprising to know that Sir Terban is gay! Omg!'

"Okay, sir. May I have your name and your sign, sir? And your relationship with sir Terban too." She pointed to the log-in book and held out a ballpoint pen.

Even though it was so weird why the woman's cheeks are red, Slyvester signed the visitors’ log-in book.

'Relationship?' Slyvester asked himself, wondering what to write. After a few seconds, he decided what to write.

[Someone I wanted to be close to]

He returned the log-in book. The moment the girl read what he wrote, her cheeks blushed even more. It seems that there was a more serious misunderstanding because of the words he wrote there.

The employee explained the directions to Terban’s office. Then, Slyvester passed the barrier. He texted Terban again that he was waiting in front of the elevator. After he sent it, he looked at the elevator door with anticipation.

"5, 4, 3..." He read the red number above.

Finally, the door opened with a clang.

'Ding!"

Whether it was expected or not, Slyvester hesitated to enter because he immediately saw that the opened elevator was full. It took him seconds to realize who they were and what they were doing.

Ryan was standing against his direction. Meanwhile, Terban was positioned facing him while kissing Ryan.

Slyvester tends to get jealous easily. Even if Ryan is still not his official girlfriend, he will admit that he is possessive about the person he likes. What's more, if he sees her kissing a guy?

Anger, pain, pain, and resentment, he felt it all together as he watched the two of them dumbfounded. He clenched his fists, digging his nails into his palms. His mouth wanted to scream but remained closed. His feet that were planning to rush inside were nailed to the floor.

'Is this how they felt? When they found out I kissed Ryan, did they feel the same way?' Slyvester asked himself.

The feeling that you want to cry but no tears come; the painful words you want to scream but remain locked in your chest. It is heavy. It is painful.

[“I have to talk to Terban first. And once I settle everything, I'll do it. Can you wait for me?"

"If that’s what you want, fine. I'll wait." ]

Then their conversation last night flashed back on his mind and echoed in his ears.

Is this what she was talking about settling down? Kissing him?!' Slyvester doubted in annoyance. He was so angry that he could only think of words that he knew would hurt Ryan.

The door slowly closed, at the same time, Terban closed his eyes softly while his lips moved up and down to Ryan’s. He cupped her cheeks and pulled her for a deep kiss. Then the door closed.

Slyvester could do nothing but stare at the closed elevator.

"I said I would wait," Slyvester suddenly murmured. He looked down while taking a deep breath. "But that doesn't mean I'll do nothing while waiting." He moved his eyes to the emergency stairway's entrance. Then he immediately entered and climbed up.

Why? Because he is selfish. He wanted to be selfish in love until the end.
