Chapter 111: Chapter 111

He was not crazy enough to spend another day without seeing Taylor, so he walks out of the hotel and came down to his... now Taylor's house, he was certain when he arrived that Taylor wasn't back from work yet because work always ended at six p.m. and so he was ready to wait.

A few moments later there is a roar in the sky and the thick dark cloud begins to form up there the sky and although he knows it's a sign for him to leave, he decides to wait.

The rain begins to drop a little and cold slightly begin to grip him but he ignores as he eagerly awaits Taylor's return and after much minute passes, he sees Taylor's car coming in a distance and his heart begins to leap for joy and excitement like a four-year-old boy eager to open his Christmas present.

He begins to walk towards the moving car and it slows down when it gets close to where he is he moves to the side of the car which he knows Taylor will be and slowly hit on the window.

The window is pulled down and his eyes meet Taylor for the first time in many days and he can't help the happy smile on his face. She is looking as beautiful as ever and he wants to kiss and hold her in his hand, but he knows that would just be a dream now.

"What do you want, Rory?" she asks impatiently.

"I wanted to see you, and ask for your forgiveness."

"Go home," she replies.

"My home is with you, Taylor and no other place would feel the same. I love you and I'm not leaving until you tell me you love me and have forgiven me."

She stares at him for a while then she looks away, "You assume what is not there or going to ever be."

"I know you love me, Taylor, and I'm not leaving until you tell me you love me."

"Then you're going to wait for all eternity."

She winds up her window and the car begins to move and the fear of losing her again take over him. "I love you, Taylor, don't leave me, I can't live without you," he says, hitting on the window of the car but the car doesn't stop as it drives in and once again the gate is shut to his face.

"Taylor, I'm not leaving here until we get to talk." Taylor hears him yelling outside as she steps down from her car and the driver closes the door.

"Should we make him leave?" The head of security, Mark asks as he walks to her to welcome her.

She shakes her head dismissively at him, "No, he'll leave when he gets tired." she replies, looking up at the dark sky. "Look, it's gonna rain soon, that would do the work."

Rachel comes out to meet her and after greeting her, she helps her take her bag into the house and Taylor follows.

"How's Reign doing?" she enquires as soon as she enters the house.

"Very good, ma'am," Rachel replies, going upstairs to keep her bag in her room and Taylor follows.

After showering and changing her clothes an hour later, she settles in to begin some of the office work she'd brought home when she hears the thunder crashing and she goes to close the window when she realizes Rory might still outside. Her heart clenches a little for Rory in the rain and cold outside, but she convinces herself that there is no way he would be outside and so she closes her window and draws the curtain.

The rain grows heavier with every minute that passes by and Rory turns around to look at the few mansion on the main street and they all had large and tall gates which no one would see or hear his knock from inside, the same way Taylor can't hear anymore. He knows there is no way anyone would hear or even care.

His heart begins to beat rapidly and uncontrollably as coldness grips it and he shivers greatly and he fears going against his doctor's advice of staying out of the rain and avoid being exposed to too much cold because the fragile condition of his heart has been in since the last eleven years.

He had always been keen on cigarettes from the early age of seventeen and because they helped relieved him from the pressure his bullies and study were giving him and once in a while he would pick it as his last resort. After Ginger broke his heart without looking back, he got addicted to both cigarettes and alcohol, not like it was something he was proud of though. He only decided to overcome his addiction to smoking five years later when it began to affect his health, his doctor diagnosed him with Coronary heart disease (CHD) and it made him weak and vulnerable. The doctors told him he would die if he didn't stop smoking and take up the necessary precautions. The doctors warning and precautions he had never ignored until now.

He realises he's getting colder and he goes back to Taylor's gate and knocks harder on it, wanting someone anyone to hear and let him in, but just like he figured earlier, even he cannot even hear the sound of the knock due to the heavily pouring rain.

The cold begins to take effect on his heart and his heartbeat begins to slow down and his knocking lowers and the coldness increases double fold and his heart squeezes painfully in his chest and its pumping of blood reduces and his whole body begins to shut down slowly. His legs are the first to give up on him and he collapses to the extremely cold flooded road, shivering until his eyes finally shut.
