Chapter 8: Chapter 8
- Lora -
"They dislike one another because they think that they are far superior, and because of that, a challenge is born and each side rises to the occasion, ready to prove to the other that they are the greatest but the people who suffer this most are the witches." She says.
"Vampires and werewolves are the same, each side thinks that they are the superior race, and they feel the need to go against each other to prove it and with this they couldn't be a balance."
She adds to his former sentence.
"Another thing is that they are very different from one another, and as history has shown us countless times, people often seek to destroy what is different and the witches has used this to grow more stronger than them." She states as she looks at me.
"Vampires are often portrayed as aristocratic and noble beings with an insatiable lust for blood and they have utilized the use of demons to do their biddings and that's why they don't have so many witches." She explains how he had explained to her.
"Whereas werewolves are usually shown as a bit more laid back, a little rough around the edges with the need to destroy everything in their path once a month and they have grown with witches over the years." She chips in.
"Two very different, yet equally destructive, creatures. Werewolves hate that vampires drink blood, vampires hate that werewolves have a wild dangerous beast inside them."
"Werewolves think vampires are filthy leeches, vampires think werewolf are lowly dogs. On and on and that's why is as witches and wizards must take this opportunity so that one day... Magic will rule the world in it's purest form.he said to me And laughed in evil."
So to me, it’s an issue of superiority complexes and differences. All about who is the bigger badder monster.
"Wait I wanted to ask how come you're still alive?... No, what I meant Is... How come my dad didn't Eat you??" I asked.
She chuckled at my question as she answered still amused.
"Very funny lora, you don't just wake you one morning and the next thing is to devour your mate or as the vampire call it your zing, just because he or she is Human." She replies to me.
I giggled nervous because this is all still new to me.
"You Don't?" I asked smiling.
"Of cause you don't silly. Do You think Mavis Dracula From hotel Transylvania would be able to live with her self if she married Johnathan in one month and ate him alive the next?" She asked.
"Awwn those two are the cutest version of a monster human marriage." I replied to her holding her hands.
"I know right, they are soooo in sync...
but this is real world lora, trust me honey, vampire, werewolves, witches and other monsters out there they don't believe in hotel Transylvania kinda shit." She says hurting my movie feelings.
"Heck they don't even know that kind of movie. Hahaha" She says laughing.
"They don't?" I asked.
I was shocked to learn that.
Damn! I am so still childish.
How couldnt they? but who am i to complain so I just have listen to what my mom was saying.
She sure still Didn't tell me about her own side of the story cause I am already fed up with all the news.
"Can you believe I was walking by last Saturday evening and then were making a triller about the next movie About some monsterly vacation and heck we don't give a shit y'all"
"Mom!? I thought you like That movie?? And now your starting to sound like an actual monster who doesn't like human.... Except you are true witch." I said to her with a smile.
"I know, I know, I'm sorry honey it's just. We are getting it all wrong no matter how many time we portray it in the movie that our naturally nature... Humans and the witches, werewolf and vampire in particular can get along and we don't always have to be at each others neck all the time despite The countless disagreement we would have.
It just doesn't link, it's just not working." She explains in frustration.
"So now what?" I asked in return.
"You father risked his life to save you to save us thats why he built this place here in the state as a secret century where no vampire or werewolf could ever come but only his spirit rogues." She says to me as I held her.
"But they did come, the moon Goddess." I said to her and she smiles.
"Yes, it means this place isn't safe any more and we don't want to put this poor over populated unsuspicious county at risk... Again I know, It is so sad and a little weird that i really love and hate this country." She says smiling.
"Uh, you just told me that the fate of three world that I've been dying to belong to, rest opon my shoulders, a teenager who is still a minor, so I am sure it just a tips of the iceberg." I replied to her earliest statement.
"Oh, I'm sorry this is hard on you, you have to train and get ready to face the worst." She says as she holds me tightly to herself.
I stopped her in her sentence as I concluded with just four words.
"I'm going to Bed." I said to her.
"What? Why? don't you want to see grandma again? Or learn more?" She asked me in return as I walked off.
"Sorry mum, all this is becoming too much for me." I said as I had already walked steps away from her as she sat in the parlor staring at me.
I couldn't absorb any more information and I felt like I was going to explode if she kept feeding me with so much.
I was on the stairs that lead to my room when i responded to her questions.
"Later." I replied.
"Oh common lora, don't be like that, at least learn about your abilities!" She chips into the conversation.
"Also later." I said entering my room.
I shut the door behind me as I finally found myself som time to free up.
I walked towards my bed and crashed on It as tears rolled off my eyes.
Why was I chooses?
How do I protect these people?
How do I bring these people together?
My father hasn't been a good alpha either and I could tell it was my destiny to bring union between the worlds of vampires, witches and werewolves.
I wondered how I would do it.
I am the lightning witch afterall.
